- This Saturday in Philadelphia, Jaron "Boots" Ennis defends his IBF welterweight crown against David Avanesyan in his Matchroom debut, live on DAZN.
Boots is one of the premier talents in boxing but hasn't had a proper push from promoters. Now, Eddie Hearn will look to build him in his home city and create a superstar.
Will the late replacement Russian representing Armenian, Avanesyan, be able to spring a seismic upset?

Boots round 6
Great commentary. Subscribing. If this were the Avanesyan of 2021, I would pick the upset. Boots gets clipped often and Ava throws a mean overhand.
Thanks brother. I really appreciate that. Thank you!
You deserve more subs mate, doing a good job! I guess its because unlike other channels you're not doing the sensationalist click bait gossipy style videos! Purists delight this. Keep on g.
@@TadhgcDoran Really appreciate that my guy!
I think in the first round Boots gonna see so many openings 🤔 whether he chooses to take advantage early , who knows but I’d be surprised if it goes past 6
Boots KO 4-6
Big fan of boots! Let’s see what happens, excited to see some skill and class!
David is gone be dangerous after the loss to Crawford he's used to big fights could be more hungry I see him putting up a good fight
Ennis kO ava in 5 to 6 rounds 🥊
David hasn't fought since bud in 22? We know what that does to most fighters... Crawford looked like he was playing with his food. But to David's credit he had heart and landed his. Weird lunging punches. I think that's where he might get caught.
Late stoppage
If this fight is slightly competitive, Boots has no business sharing the ring with Bud. Boots will probably want to send Bud a message by KO'ing him faster than Bud was able to do. The only thing I fear is that the referee might want to help Boots do just that and stop the fight too soon.
I would agree that if Boots struggles, he shouldn’t be thinking about Bud yet. But if it’s slightly competitive, that wouldn’t be an indictment on Ennis because the Bud vs Ava fight was actually competitive until the KO. The fight was always going to end that way, but Bud eased his way in and let Ava get work done before he finished him. If Boots is competitive, it’s not the end of the world. But it doesn’t send the message he wants to send.
Sam Goodman prediction?
I was not so impressed by Boots against Chukhadzhian, he seemed to have difficulty cutting off the ring and was quite one dimensional with the Jab. Chukhadzhian landed some good shots in that fight that Boots seemed to have a little difficulty defending against. The Roiman Villa fight was good preperation for Boots fighting Avanesyan, Boots will likely enjoy having another opponent that comes forward and will be in front of him at all times.
He won all 12 rounds against Karen (a guy who cam to survive).
@@sheldonhollis5258 If you thought it was a good performance i'm glad you enjoyed it. I was waiting for Boots to adjust and change things up and I didn't really feel he did.
@@gatekeeperboxing5898 Go back and watch Crawford vs Burns, Crawford vs Postol, and Crawford vs Kozlov. Ennis has yet to lose a round. Let that sink in.
@@gatekeeperboxing5898 it’s all about fixing your mistakes. He already said he was frustrated because he was looking for a knockout.. ppl call out that fight as if he lost or something. lol no other fight they can say.
🥾🥾round 2-3
This fight is a F ing joke. Boots needs to step up and fight someone worthy.
Like who? Bud vacated rather than fight him. Crowley was mandatory. Avanesyan is a replacement. WBC champ (Barrios) wants to fight Manny Pacquiao. WBO belt only just been vacated and Norman is with Top Rank. Stanionis been hella inactive. What more do you want? 🤷🏻♂️
True@@PunchPerfectBoxing
Bud didn’t vacate he was stripped while under a rematch clause with Spence 🧐Bud is moving up to 154 to fight a champion .. Bud ain’t ducking this prospect Boots .. Boots actually ducked Bud twice
@@2up2down00 No body said Bud was ducking Boots. I just stated that he vacated or let himself be stripped, rather than engage in the purse bid or negotiations to fight Boots, which is simply a fact, chief.
Whatever anyone says, i still say Benn stops him in 6
Might need to book into rehab, mate.
If he gets to fight again it will be unlikely Benn will want to face Boots. If Benn does fight Boots, I feel the reverse result will be the outcome Boots inside 6 Rounds.
Uncle benn
Not worth a 20 min video..this anis guy is a hype job and will be found out soon😂
