You save money by avoiding exchange fees and making a withdrawl straight from any atm, there are a few available outside the airport.
Few tips from my multiple times in Mexico.
Never buy anything at airport and never exchange money at airport. The cheapest way to get pesos is to make sure you have no foreign transaction fees on your debit card and go to a HSBC ATM and decline the conversion rate. This will give you the best exchange rate possible.
Thank you! That’s definitely helpful. I will remember this when I travel there again
@@ChevStyles I normally go twice a year so I always bring back some extra pesos with me so I have some pesos in my pocket when I get off the plane. Seems like I get away better price from the taxis when I pay in peso
Thank you. I am about to navigate the airport and bus.
Thank you so much for posting. So informative and helpful. Really looks pretty straightforward. This helps take the anxiety down a notch. It really is just a bus without some mysterious process to access its services. Thank again
Your welcome
Right when Chev walks onto the bus and mentions that the Ac is blowing she walks by a guy with an AC⚡️DC shirt. Anyways, thanks so much for this. I’m planning on taking ADO this time as the other options are ridiculously overpriced for the turismos.
Hi Chev, thanks for this video. Do you have any suggestions on transport options if we're staying at a resort outside of the "hotel zone"?
I would say get a taxi. Might be the easiest.
Great video. They wouldn’t let you take a personal bag on the bus?
Yes, you can as long as it wasn’t too large.
@@ChevStyles ok great! Thank you!
This was SUPER helpful, thank you! I know you can't take your carry on bag, but will they allow you to take a bookbag onto the ADO bus? Do you know if the ADO bus runs further than Playa Del Carmen? Like, does it keep going south down the coastline?
Your welcome. Yes, you can take your book bag on the bus. I had one with my snacks inside. ADO runs all over Mexico. I have taken it to Valladolid and as far as Merida.
where do i find a can from the 5th avenue bus stop to get to my hotel? are they usually hanging around?
From 5th Ave there’s cab drivers all around. They usually have on white n blue shirts. You can’t miss them.
hi there! does ADO have a hotel zone stop? if so, will i need to get a taxi from there or does ADO drop you off right at your hotel? thanks
Not sure if there’s a stop at hotel zone might have taxi from there. It’s about a 25-35 minute ride
Hi at the ci blanco did they charge you a fee to exchange your money
Yes, there is a fee. The fee varies
@@ChevStyles how much is it
Its More Better
Wait, you can't take your carry on!?
Not on the bus only underneath
@@ChevStyles Did they charge extra to check your carry on? If so how much?
@@LAX2SanGabriel no, no charge to check bag
