Nice job. It's always difficult when it's a whole battery modules that have to fit into a car, and when it's a small car it doesn't get any easier. Look forward to seeing the finished car, you are getting there, step by step. 👍
I feel your pain on the battery box building. I have two at the front and two at the back but after going through the pain of building the front two with angle I changed tack and built the rear two from a single sheet of 1.5mm. It was sooo much quicker and easier. Maybe not suitable in your situation tho.
@@MiniLifeCrisis Your box location would be vulnerable to a rear end shunt so strongest is best. If you have a look at my latest videos you can see how I built mine but they are much more protected by the chassis of the car.

Thank you 😀
Awesome project
Thank you David, I hope the pics were useful 😊

Yeah, we did talk about just using sheet and doubling the folds for strength, difficult to know for sure what is best.

Don't forget once it's all together it will sit in the middle of the rear subframe so that will give it some low down protection 🤞
@@MiniLifeCrisis yes but the mini is very low, any modern car hitting the back will be above the subframe so your extra strong box is a good thing.
How are you keeping the battery modules charged during the build?
I check them every now and then, they are holding charge really well, haven't had to charge any that I haven't used for testing
