Easy job, if the spindle comes out that easy...
19 years old car with original arms and everything - First time i was trying to get the pinch bolt out more than month, then i cut the upper arms and after trying to get out lower arms cut even them, it was not easy to drill the bolt out so everything was a bit destroyed, so i bought everything new even the knuckle. Everything was great and new after a lot of work. After 600km one of upper arm ball joints failed and here i am again
Oh... Sorry fo hear that...Try heating the bolt/arms
Thanks for the video. I think its only lacking the torque specs
Good job but the control arm bush bolts are supposed to be properly tightened when it’s got full load
2:33 how to crack the knuckle. use an extractor or at least a "fork"...
Hello ✋🏻, i need your advise please. My ride is Audi A4 2006 2.0L ... I had a complete set of control arms replaced today (total 10pcs), and being aligned afterwards, but unfortunately i experienced a very stiff steering wheel. Any clue ?
On my car I replaced my rack and my power steering boost assist sensor was brittle and broke off, I forget what it’s called but it’s likely expensive or hard to find other than on a new rack
That top bolt almost never comes off that easy.
Did you use any grease for the installment of the control arms?
I don't remember doing that and I don't think that is recommend.
