I love this song so much for all these years I listen to this when I'm trying to block someone out. And imagine how I felt when I heard this. The acoustic is so relaxing
A lot of singers change their voice depending on whether they are singing acoustic or radio version. So if you hear the recorded version for the cd, it sounds different because they are using all electric instruments. With playing acoustic, they sing so as not to overpower the instruments, because they are much more mellow than the electrics. Hope that makes some kind of sense :) Anyways, I love this version of the song. Yellowcard is definitely one of my favourite bands

i dunno why you're getting thumbs down. honestly for a band to be exactly like they are, I only know a few. Paramore, Yellowcard, Aerosmith, and The Eagles... even if they broke up, it's hard to play in unison that well and keep harmonics like that.

For me this is /the/ definitive acoustic version of Ocean Avenue. Everything about it is flawless.
The violin at the end is forever the best
Love ocean avenue but this version and this performance in particular is something special
there is just something about yellowcard's music that makes me believe that everything will be okay.
The beautiful blend of the stringed instruments, harmonies, tempo, and the genre get me every time. The violin just goes so well with rock music.🎶
