  • While we patiently await the completion of our Superbike engine, we thought it would be a great time to show you guys a little of the manufacturing process that goes into making most of our race components. In this case, we take you through the machining stages for our newly designed Yamaha R3 Chain Adjusters with GP Lifters. This component will drastically reduce the time needed for rear wheel changes and will be a must have part for any R3 owner.

    Hey guys, have you considered offering all of these parts as a kit? I mean obviously you can’t sell ported cylinders responsibly, but it’d be sweet if I could click once and be track ready in a week.
    I know I could search for them all individually but if I’m being honest my dudes, I’m lazy 😂
    Glad you guys are doing these videos, I’m really digging them. Stay safe! 🏍💭

    I didn't think aluminum shavings could be so sexy. Haha

    Guys your workmanship is very good, wondering if you are going to make racing stuff for KTM RC 390 in future.

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  6 лет назад

      Thanks. I do not believe that we will be making anything for the RC390. One of our team members bought that bike and we made some street parts that are selling very poorly. If street parts are selling poorly, race parts will be even worse. We decided not to pursue the KTM market. The R3, Ninja 300, and Ninja 400 market has been good to us so we will be catering to these bikes mostly (as far as small bikes go).

    How is the system for rear wheel changes implemented in modern factory MotoGP bikes like the Yamaha YZR-M1 or the Honda RC213V? I imagine it must be something pretty state-of-the-art?

      Edit: found this: ruclips.net/video/1IcPpwkockE/видео.html ...25 seconds to do a rear wheel change!!

      @TSTindustries  6 лет назад +1

      When you have the freedom to make the entire chassis and have a nearly endless budget it is easier to implement technology like that. Fast Frank Racing actually makes similar setups for modern sport bikes, they just don't have the ledges for the spacers like that MotoGP setup you referenced. 675.i the product page is already made but needs some refinements. I believe it will go live this coming week. All the parts are finished and in stock, ready to sell.

    When did the 300cc class even become a Superbike?

    • @Tevon93
      @Tevon93 6 лет назад +1

      It never did. Superbike is just what TST calls their R3 racebike.

      Man, I am getting pretty tired of typing the same text in response to this same comment in all our episodes. Superbike is a term used to describe a class of racing motorcycle based on modifications permitted, not the displacement of the machine. Please look up WERA, CCS, and other AMA sanctioned race bike organizations. Their rule books outline what is considered supersport, and what is considered superbike for most displacement categories. Since we are building this bike to set superbike rules to race in these series, we called this build the superbike build. This is pretty simple if you educate yourself on the subject.

      TSTindustries chill bro. It just seems pointless to me to do all this to a 300.

      Then youve obviously never raced a smaller displacement bike on a track....
