I’ll probably quit online shooter games, as this seems like it is going to be the standard in most titles now.
That's the only logical way to fight back against these rapacious game publishers like Activision. The game developers are forced to put in sbmm and the only way to fight back is to stop buying the games. I only play single player games now because I refuse to give money to these bloodsuckers any longer.
I have a surprisingly fun game for you to play it's titanfall 2 campaign is great and the multiplayer is amazing
@@colmgarland510 I platinumed that game a long time ago. The campaign was fantastic. I wasn't much into the multiplayer aside from pilot vs pilot, but it was pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of the titan battles.

I miss going into a lobby, staying in said lobby, and rivaling for top of the lobby. Seeing people come and go, and on occasion some sweats would come in to take it from you. All while talking shit. It was so much fun back then.

Now after each game it assesses you and kicks you out of the game to put you into a sweatier lobby.
The entire argument around SBMM that proposes that people just dont want to get better starts with the premise that most people play cod to get good and gain skill. While some people do what that out of the experience there is a large group of people that just want to play a video game and piss around. I miss mixed lobbies. I just want to play against people better and worse than me combined. I want to horse around and try to do things I'm not good at. I want to try sometimes and other time I just want to piss around. If I was worried about getting better I'd go into a comp mode.
I played multiplayer 2 times. Once when the game first dropped, and one more time when nuketown dropped. All my time as been on zombies.

What nobody talks about is how MW3 was the first CoD to have SBMM, but BO2 really escalated it closer to how bad it is now. If I did well in BO2 I'd start getting put into lobbies against stacked, prestiged 5 or 6 person teams meanwhile everyone else on my team were usually shitters. I would be lucky to have one other competent player on my team and after a while I started messaging them telling them thanks for actually playing competently, even if we lost. I would be sweating every single match to try and carry my team and I was forced to use the meta weapons or lose. If I purposefully threw several matches in a row I would start getting put into normal lobbies again. It was infuriating and was the reason I never bought the DLC for BO2 even though I initially loved it.

The most annoying thing about SBMM is that I can't play with my friends anymore, cause of the skill gap between us the games are too difficult for them and they just get shat on continuously. So we don't play together anymore cause they just don't find it fun. In MW I have 200hrs and 180 of those were playing solo, I can personally play with strict SBMM but I just want to play casually and joke around with my friends

Treyarch knows about reverse boosting. They're not gonna take it out because RUclipsrs can abuse it to make gameplays. If there are no crazy gameplays to market their game as non-sweaty, they make less money. The problem IS SBBM. But it is ALSO the fact that Activision sees CoD as a pure cashgrab. The CoD's of the past were made to be fun as their first priority. Now the first priority is engineering the game to make the most money, with gameplay, coding, and matchmaking being an afterthought. Treyarch and Activision hear your complaints but will keep ignoring them in the pursuit of squeezing every last cent and dollar out of this community. Activision realized they can model the matchmaking system after advertisement algorithms, and it won't be going away anytime soon. They even track your movement--search up their patents.

I've always been a 3kd player, not a single cod I haven't managed to hold a 3kd.
But on bocw I don't even have a 3 ekiad or whatever it's called now, there's so much wrong with this game and that's before you even take the sbmm into consideration

That's because you're not supposed to hold a 3kd. Well, you can, but you have to sweat for it really hard. The sooner some people realize it, the better. Time of lobby rolfstomping is over. You still can, by exploiting, but i think they will deal with it sooner or later (and the number of people who do it isn't that hard anyway).
So you just go and play as you want. Your would not get 3kd, but if you're a good player you will hold a decent k\d for this game. It's just decent k\d now isn't 3kd+.

SBMM helps 0% of the player base. Once you start doing good in your skill base you then get bumped up. Once you get bumped, you start doing bad and go back down. Then it’s just a repeating cycle. You really have to try your hardest just to maintain yourself in the bumped up lobby’s. But nobody wants that. I don’t have this problem cause I can do well in any lobby but for most people it’s a nightmare.

This the first COD I've played where I'll get a tryhard lobby, finish it, get booted from it and get put into another lobby with 2 or more of the other players I just played with and they're not my PS or COD friends. Shots crazy.

These lobbies he's playing in are bot lobbies, and he even thinks SBMM is bad. I have a 1.80K/D and every lobby is full of 6 stack lvl100 prestige 3's with golden M16s and AUG's. I'm so glad that the "zombies"(survival) is fun because otherwise, I would have wasted $64.95. How are pro's gonna have around 2.00K/Ds and I'm only .2 off but I struggle to win wagers... this stuff is sad to see. My childhood games are getting destroyed by bad development.

Yesterday I was playing with my brothers friends since they don’t play much and the lobby I got in was amazing I got 127 kills. It was in nuketown but that match was like the best match I have ever played
Call of duty’s fun has taken a dark turn😂 people fun is protecting there 1.6 kd in a corner sight down headset up to 10000, it’s mad that I play and I’m like why is no1 running a round try to play nuke town omg everyone was siting in the houses no1 left either team besides me I was like what is this game :/
On top of the horrible SBMM, all my friends who also play on the Xbox One with me have: crashed, had their console shut off, have laggy/stuttering cutscenes that you can't even watch, random game breaking bugs in zombies, and constant stutters in multiplayer that constantly cost me gunfights. Its an incomplete game meant to push next gen consoles.

Here's the thing. Cold War has the disbanding lobbies after every game. It makes me wonder if we would get the same issue if you leave the lobby every time you play BO4. Unfortunately it is WELL past its peak now to ever know just how thick SBMM was in that game. It makes me think that maybe it has always been super thick but the lack of disbanding lobbies caused it to seem not as bad. Maybe a lot more noticeable now because of it.

I purposely went 8/45 scores on nuketown for 15 or so games. By the end, I was running circles on players beeting there head in with my pistol. 3rd game "sweating" 32 gunstreak. 5 games later, back to sweats and sold my soul.

Birdman is just a great player he has been doing this shit for years idk why everyone is in disbelief he has a 2.44 KD in BO3 league and in the past uploaded tons of game against people with 2.0 KDs where he dominated them. Even with all that said you can clearly see that so far his KD is a bit lower than usual, the lowest he has ever shown is 4.6 in BO3

My first game: 64-8 absolutely popped off, felt like the other team has never even touched a video game before. Guys just standing there as I shred them, no awareness, not even playing the objective.
Game 2: 12-33, played the sweatiest hardpoint of my life, couldn’t even secure it once. Getting sniped from halfway across the map and half the time dying off spawn.
Every game since has been like game 2 and I’m an average player. MW averaged like a 2 K/D ,Im casual af gamer, play 2 hours a day and only play pubs never did CODL or even hardcore mode.
This is the STRONGEST SBMM ive ever seen in my life and honestly might go back to MW after I finish the campaign.
Ive noticed that as I started raising my k/d my w/l has went down. It's either get kills and lose or get killed to win. Shit is an honest to God headache.

To your comment about the helicopter not getting any kills...I think Perk Greed shouldn’t exist. It allows people to be super soldiers, immune to explosives, streaks, equipment, and more. I don’t know why they just don’t stick with the pick 10 system. It allows for both customization while still being balanced. It’s perfect

It was a miracle that I won 6 matches straight. I took TDM and KC off my list because those game modes people are abusing the field mic and from what I seen they are on the map till there destroyed. What happened to the time limit? I literally had to switch to the jammer and had to use engineer to start to get wins. Because Field Mic is on the field until you destroy it.

Bought the game today. On game three I was the only non prestige in the entire lobby. I was like level 6 or 7 and EVERYONE in the lobby was prestiged 100 sliding and scuf jumping everywhere. If Sbmm isn’t tuned wayytyyy down I’m never buying another cod game again. This multiplayer experience is terrible.
This game’s matchmaking is like how taxes are, The more successful you are the more you suffer.

There's nothing that screams sweaty SBMM more then winning a domination match with 201-200. I can enjoy a sweaty game every once in a while, but if every game is like this it's exhausting to the point i just want to quit after 3-4 games. When i won my last domination match with 201-200 on the scoreboard (i went negative with my K/D btw despite having a 8500 score) i felt like i had again won a local judo championship when i was 15. Which isn't exactly the feeling i'm looking for when i want to play a videogame for fun and to relax after a long day of work.
This is literally my luck in Nuketown.

I truly hate the sbmm mostly because every single game i will go 1.5-2.0 kd and the rest of my team is literally doing half my score or way more. While the other team everyone is mediocre at best but all of them are opposed to my team with horrible awareness and worst gun skill.

I miss the good old days when I was able to use underpowered guns. Can’t do that in this game, because everyone I play against seems to think they are playing for competition money.

I enjoy the SBMM a lot, every game is intense and super fun. I just wish there was a way to track your skill progression. Basically multiplayer is like ranked mode but without any incentives or way to track your improvements. They should add a ranking system to multiplayer or just make a separate ranked mode and remove sbmm from MP.
The biggest thing I hate in FPS is K/D. People focus so hard on KD in this game that they don’t actually try to win and play objectives. Most people camp hard or pre aim 75 percent of the game. It’s frustrating for someone who enjoys winning and tries to push objectives when most of your team is more worried about dying than they are actually pushing an objective

I've noticed the SBMM pattern for me is that I play well 3-5 games in a row then get matched with a shit team for a couple games and then I myself get a hard asf enemy team with 1 or two good players in my team and get destroyed for a couple games then I go even for a couple games and repeat..
It's a weird system, I love it and hate it.. It's decent for getting better but I'm not always trying to get better, I wanna have fun and chill sometimes.

? The killcam was simply to short to show the shot on the wall.
@@sonsofliberty9630 watch again. He shoots on the left, then aims at his shoulder on the right and gets a hit even though the bullet hit the wall. You can literally see the dust/dirt/smoke on the wall.

As long as Activision is in charge, we will not see a Top Quality game for a really long time. CoD really needs a competitor like BF3 was to MW3 back in 2011. I hope BF6 (which i hope is in Modern Time with no SBMM) will teach CoD a lesson. So its all on DICE and EA. EA can use it to their Advantage and give us a top notch game without SBMM and monetazation bullshit.
People learn from failure, if you’re always playing at lower levels you’re never going to get better. SBMM is like giving all the low skill players participation trophies

As a personal thought that I have had since launch. A retaliative easy fix for this is to have a new comer mode similar to Rainbow Six Siege. In Siege their is a level cap so something similar to that could help out those new players where they are in their own mode away to the main mode whether you do a playlist that you can select like Fireteam Dirt Bomb and Combined Arms or to have it like specialist HQ in Black Ops 4. To have tutorials for those brand new players then a completely different matchmaking that'll allow those new players get gradually into the game. With people playing that mode they could still have SBMM if thats the way they wish to go about it. For returning players as they already have cross game progression they could perhaps allow them to go straight into normal multiplayer.
I mainly wanted to see peoples responses to this and the get a discussion going.

I’ve got a 2 K/D and feel like I’m a pretty good player (3 K/Ds in past CoD games) but holy crap every game is an absolute sweat fest. I run in to the same names every few games from DAY TO DAY over and over again, which is crazy considering there’s a much higher player base because of cross play. I absolutely would rather go back to supply drops and stuff than deal with this stupid SBMM. You’re definitely getting a sub from me because this is the most relatable crap I’ve listened to and your analogies are hilarious and dead on, especially the bar one 😂

The SBMM is SO strong.. I broke my SnD record yesterday with 28-2.. The next lobby I swear was from another realm.. Same map I went 3-9 🤦🏻♂️

Started playing cod with MW2 and I was absolute shit at the game, played every cod except for WW2 and infinite warfare and got good at the game (or at least better than most players). I went from getting death streaks every game to getting high end kill streaks if I try hard enough, now SBMM feels like a slap in the face for taking the time to get good at these games

I went over to my friends house and went 38-7 my first game of Cold War since the beta. I don’t even have the game yet but I’m pretty good at almost every cod. The next 6 games my two other friends played after me and they all went almost double negative will less than .6 KDs. I would still do good against those better players but no way would I drop a 5.4 KD on them. At best 2.5 against them. SBMM is too strong.

I find it funny, I have around 18 hours on zombies and only around 45 minutes in multiplayer, I just don’t have any motivation to play multiplayer anymore
