Once the game ends up shutting down for whatever reason in the future, you just know Niantic is going to blame the player base for it.
It’s an evergreen product. It’s not going to shut down so long as Pokemon remains a popular IP.
Well, seems like Niantic are purposely tanking their products including PoGo, this is all of their plan to get the game to shut down so they can get rid of the IP and Nintendo/GameFreak old over this, but that's my theory tbh

I've been playing Pokemon Go since Day 1 but I find myself playing significantly less now than I ever had. The last two years Niantic has made some pretty boneheaded decisions and the in-game events have been super crappy relative to the early game events. I'm not buying a Go Fest ticket this year for the first time. Honestly, the only thing keeping me in this game is I want to catch all Unowns, Mega Evolutions, and Arceus/Manaphy before quitting for good.

@@bobbyrdayton9866 I don't think I'm really missing out. Solgaleo, Lunala, & Necrozma will be available to all players and Marshadow will become free later on next year Spring. The other bonuses this year don't seem worth the price.

Niantic's decisions since 2021 has made the game pretty stale and stunted their growth. Nerfed spawns, remote passes, quality boxes, gym system, rocket grunts, and nerfed their own integrity 😢

i have not really played the game since the remote raid update. here and there ill play for like an hour on a comm day, other than that i don't really touch the game anymore.. sad days bc pogo really cured my depression at one point in time. till they actually care about the game i don't really care anymore. only time will tell if the game can ever seem fun again

@@bobbyrdayton9866It depends on if you’re a bloke and what outfit you’re wearing. The original avatar (female) is my body type. Now I have no waist and huge man hands and feet. So, outfit is all black and not going to be changing any time soon. Tasks that include avatar items? Pffft, forget it.
At the very least, boycott spending coins on outfits. They will definitely have to notice a drop in that aspect.

The only problem I have with these statements is that Niantic did lose half of its revenue. And they had to cancel games and fire people. So they are not doing too well

Talking about the players who spend money on the game, I remember that the first HearUsNiantic had quite an impact. A lot of RUclipsrs refused to spend money or raid until the radius of the player reverted to its increased state, and I really respected that.
But there was one RUclipsr that made no mention of HearUsNiantic, just kept spending money, just kept raiding non stop, just kept hunting for new shinies.
So that’s when I realized Niantic will always have their cash cows and most players who throw money at the game will have a hard time to stop.
They learned their lesson from the first “Hear us Niantic.” They increased communication and response to online feedback….and the people never stopped and expected them to listen to everything. Besides Google, Nintendo and TPC are majority investors in Niantic and at the end of the day this is their game, Niantic is just the developer. TPC and Nintendo are always getting hate and public complaints about their products but they don’t have open communication with the community and follow their vision. Niantic is following their lead in the way they handle Go.

I don't understand why they didn't just include a gender neutral avatar option? Why take away the male and female options? It's almost as though someone in management is trying to get revenge. Like they grew up being bullied into identifying male or female and now that they're in a position of power they want everyone else to suffer the same way they suffered growing up which is not being able to identify however you want.
The problem is, the men are still men (though much less human lol), but the women are now gender neutral. If it neutralised both genders then sure, but just the women is weird.

You know what I hate ? My charge move is FULLY charged and I’m pressing and pressing . And some how my opponent some how beats me to the charge move ? Do you guys have the same problem ?
Many poketubers promote the whale lifestyle by spending tons of money on incubators and raids. I understand that this is their livelihood, but some content creators care much more about their pockets and addiction to this game more than the health of the game as a whole. There’s too much of a conflict of interest for big change to happen. The remote raid change is a prime example. Some RUclipsrs were more upset that there was a raid limit then the price being doubled, and then spend Ludacris amount of money when they “remove” the limit. There are many content creators that have a healthy balance of content and honesty, but others are pathetic in how easily they will bend to the will of niantic and their content. Again conflict of interest from the people with a voice of this game is why things won’t change. Next time you are wondering a content creators stance on hot topics in PoGo, see how many incubators they have and remote raids they do for your answer.
Gotta say this is one Trainer Tips has been the most consistant on.
It’s crazy how much fun go is in Japan compared to everywhere else. Raids always full, big player base and some cool regional pokes
Its extremely important that people NEVER stop calling them out on the avatar screw up on X though. As long as the complaints are so overwhelming majority of tweets, they might delete their entire business account in order to make the company look better, which would be hilarious.
Several other game companies have deleted their X accounts recently due to backlash that they didn't want to address.
It doesn't help that when people continue to complain about remote raids or the avatars on Social Media after the initial outrage dies down they get told to "stop whining and deal with it" or "cry harder" by their peers. So the people that are still trying to be vocal and hold Niantic accountable get shot down by the very same people who were upset about the change themselves, but are willing to roll over and let Niantic do whatever they want.
The point is Niantic isn't nurturing the Pokemon franchise like other companies might
Niantic would of tested the avatar update and asked for opinions on it before releasing it worldwide.... So how on earth did it get approved and who did they ask??
Poke AK; regarding clothing. When they made the avatar update, I went into the shop and tried to find a cool free outfit. I grabbed the sparkly gold getup. Two days later, my avatar was wearing something else. I had saved the outfit in the place where you can save it. I went and put it back on, and the game wouldn’t let me wear it because it wanted 500 coins for it. I contacted support and they tried their stupid bot help and once I said I tried all that and that I wanted them to return the outfit to my inventory since I bought it before they changed the price. Effing crickets, no response.
The games are good but we have to admit the company sucks with this being only one of the thousands of issues relating the company denying the community

I noticed a lot of the people filling up those large city raids tend to be spoofers. I don't think Niantic will lose too much money in the end.
It does piss me off thinking about how awful Niantic is at running a game, while I'm buying pokecoins for the third time that day 😆

One point , raid days go to the mall here in Japan 50% of the people are on their phones doing raids and our malls are packed. Gym control here it’s shares one team does night run one team does day run no one knocks them out till that gyms made the coins for the players , remote invites I get worried to send invites to my Japanese friends cause they keep accepting them…. I mean it’s got me I walk 10km a day playing and that’s in the country side. Go to a main train station it’s crazy 😂

It’s so sad. Pokemon Go is easily one of the biggest cash cows in mobile gaming; hell, gaming in general. Being tied to the real world and to the Pokemon IP means they literally have hundreds of games to pull ideas from to make money, make the player base happy and still stick to their goal of getting people outside. Hell, Routes is one of their best ideas, and I theorized that they would add NPCs to them. They could easily do events on routes, NPC trainer battles dependent on buddy Pokemon or an event, Legendaries on Routes… (Im hoping we some more utilization of routes with ZA coming out, we’re definitely getting a Zygarde cell event when ZA comes out)

After all the time I've spent on this game theres no way id let these little "problems" cause me to quit the game. This shit means too much to me. I love pokemon and pokemon go allows me to keep it in my life because im not a fan of the newer pokemon games on switch. Just let it go and cherish it while we still have the chance the play pogo❤
I did not stop playing just spending. The thing is the players that are still the whales need the trickel players. The cost of a game never goes down. They did layoffs a year ago, even before this. They cut back with the tent pole company. They are really spending time promoting the other products. But staff is going to want raises taxes. Bills will go up. The current remaining whales may carry them for a while, but will they be enough?
I think that Niantic and social media is skewing the information they're trying to make it seem like people moved on.. and in other countries like my friends in the Philippines, they don't understand that it really is a battle against this kind of media in America
I appreciate the honesty of this video at the end of the day niantic will still profit and make money off those who still want to play the game but for some of the loyal dedicated players (myself included) they may take a step back and decide is it worth playing if the company don’t care about the communities opinion.

Been thinking about the problems in this game and how it could affect ppl, there's probably 100 more ways it can be damaging for people , especially if they're trying to kind of make a living out of it idk. I've been going hard since 2021, never missing time unless I absolutely couldn't play but lately I'm just missing events, going days without playing and even some days, not opening the app!! My sons introduced me to Balders Gate3 and I'm obsessed but that's been since Nov so it's not just that but seeing the difference with how those creators treat their customer base vs Niantic..is just night and day (obviously the games are too but..) and it makes it harder to wanna support their constant shadiness. What player wants the graphics on their avatar to look worse when they've been waiting so long for an update? What fan wants to pay for things they previously had for free? What fan wants to be scolded for how they enjoy to play the game? My 14 year old niece had to lie to make an account when she was 13..like wtf? Can't have 2 accounts? Why??? Yeahhhh..I think I need to scale back cause this hatorade I'm drinking is giving me too much gas 🤣🤣

Having to deal with a game that mix and matches you with people on purpose to force you to win/lose is hard enough as it is. Lag was less of an issue. Now it's fckn both, why the fuck are they making you 'skip turns'? My Internet is perfect bro, no issues on any other app/device. I was gonna hit veteran for the first time, and 3 sets in a row, I had a move, that move was my win. I'm tapping the fckn thing and it's just farming up? I lost so many games back to back to back because of this shit.

Also got to keep in mind that Niantic has other games and projects going on. Even if many boycott Pokemon Go, Niantic can do the "let's go to the next cash cow" way, and get rid of Pokemon Go, not caring at all and hunt for the next money making game. If people want to truly want to boycott, they need to boycott the company and not just the game honestly
And the game is just applying for ESG money given by governments + most of their profit is from selling data
None of their other games are anywhere near as successful, that's why they're milking PoGo players...
@@emanuelfer456 That's what they want you to think, I have a hard time believing that they make more off of location data than people shelling out 5s, 10s, 20s, and the occasional 100s. I have met a surprising number of people who don't bat an eye at spending $20+ on Pokemon Go regularly. They probably make more consistent money from location data and they might make slightly more over all but to say what they make from the store is insignificant compared to what they make from location data sounds off.

My masterball from previous research is missing. I am 100% sure I've not used it nor discarded it. I contacted Niantic support and they're seriously not responding properly. Sending automated replies and not helping at all. Really disappointing experience.
There was someone that we met while playing POGO that had two master balls, but one disappeared suddenly. They contacted Niantic and they confirmed data, showed that the player did have two master balls and when it changed to one, the data shows that they hadn't used it. Niantic advised there is nothing they can do about it.
Fr though i dont play gbl as much anymore because i swear i get matched up against the perfect movesets and pokemon to wipe me off the map lol and i used to think of myself as a pretty good player in gbl too

I will now focus my attention on trolling Niantic and playing other games

I say this is going to fail, people want things that they could prob never get back, example the remote raid cost went high and people didn’t like that but it’s now 2024 and their prices didn’t go down meaning that the company doesn’t care.
Yeah the Avatar is butt ugly and it needs some more attention to improve the models, but there needs to be some oversight from TPC before any updates come out. I think that there needs to be better improvements like being able to encounter rare Legendary Pokemon via a Paid Special Research that cost 10 - 15 USD (or your equivalent pricing) or even being able to encounter some of the Mega Pokemon like Mega Latias that has a 10k - 15k Combat Power for us to gain additional Mega Energy for those of us to gain more Mega Energy for one of these Pokemon that can Mega Evolve. There could be the option for us to gain more Mega Energy as a rare chance even if we haven't even Mega Evolved a Pokemon via either Poke Stops / Gyms or even by walking with them as a Buddy Pokemon. We could even see a update for the Ultra Beasts to be a rare spawn for a Daily Adventure Incense with the Beast Balls being sold in the Shop or gain them via Poke Stops / Gyms. There are even the option to sell Great Balls for 2x the Poke Coin of that Poke Balls, and 4x the Poke Coin for Ultra Balls.

The thing about the whales is that they are only whaling while there are other players to show off to. If most of the average players quit/stop caring/barely play, the whales also move on. Sure, 10,000 whales monetary-wise might be better for Niantic, but, if the whales have no one to show off to, it is over. And right now, tons of normies have dropped off. My community is barely alive, most of those remaining are free to play and only 2 whales remain.
I can change my character now into a blob who idk is a male or female. Nice looks just like me everything I wanted !
