I watched couple of tutorials before play and of course flipped the rules over that first session of mine. Now that I had that first session, I found your video to possibly catch any mistakes I may have made....and mate, I wished your video popped when I was learning the rules at first. It's way better organised and paced than the other ones I've seen. In the end I only made a mistake of using the recruitment points from the "reserved card" (played 2 handed). Thanks a lot for your content, now that I am stuck behind the desk at work...why the hell shouldn't I watch your playthrough.
Thank you so much! I’m glad it helped you out, this is a GREAT game though the rules (especially for solo) can be a bit weird to understand. Yes please, go enjoy my sessions! 😆 Definitely more to come, looking to do Mission 5 Cold Snap once the weather gets a bit… colder 🥶
I am a big solo card gamer. FFG currently vapires my wallet. I have been looking at Renegades solo stuff. I am not a GI Joes fan at all (Scotland based where Joe isn't a thing) BUT the mechanics look good! I looked at the Power Rangers one but having to buy an expensive storage box to get the solo mode isnt for me. The transformer stuff looks fine but I am not actually sure what to get to get up and running. Well... Considering there are 3 starters and I am a Solo/ Co-op player. The Joe stuff is WAY more accessible. 1 starter and then self contained "expansion" boxes
I’m lucky (for now 😑) to not have dove into the FFG card games, though they are very tempting. Arkham Horror has been on my Want List for while now. Out of the 4 IPs Renegade has for deck builders, I would rank them GI Joe best, then transformers, then My little pony (mind you I don’t have this one, but see a LOT of positive about it), and finally Power Rangers. I’m just not a fan of how they did the solo mode. It’s okay, but not something I’m drawn to. The Joe’s game is absolutely way more accessible. The transformers game, while great, does take a LOT of set up, especially if you have multiple expansions/core boxes. Hope you find a good balance with everything and enjoy these amazing games!
I’m hoping it does too. I love this game, but what I’m using to show it off actually belongs to my buddy. If this game ever goes on sale, you can get bet it all that I’ll be grabbing the base and ALL expansions!
I played it at a local store I am not sure if we completely played it correctly so didn't have the best first impression from gameplay. The components were nice. Let me know what you think of the game?@@Texiteer
Only the Promoted versions and only in Solo mode do those Joes get shuffled into the main deck. The regular versions that are not being used for the game go back into the box.
I’d say very replayable. I’ve gone through the first two missions a few times, and even though Act 3 is always the same, the variability of Acts 1 & 2 make for new experiences. That and using different Leaders, cards in the market, and drawn Complications help with making each game I play unique.

Knowing is half the battle, 25% is red lasers, 25% is blue lasers
That’s a big piece of knowledge, it tells you what side you’re on! Can’t imagine being colorblind, may never truly know that half the battle…
Been thinking about picking this up if I see it go on sale. 🙂

I just ordered the $80 bundle of the base, two expansions and the related bonus content from renegade direct. Seems like a good deal.

Do you keep the starter joes in the main deck?
