Bro, the amount of people comparing this to things like chronus and strikepacks are insane to me. One removes your recoil entirely and one makes your inputs .002 seconds faster.
yeah i agree
Just shows the amount of people cheating with chronus and strikepacks.
Does a zen make ur inputs faster ?
Its like calling an elite series controller cheating
It just feels better
Probably
Im not sure but you get my point
I swear to god soon they will start to complain about people with good PCs, they only have 30fps so if someone has 60 it is an advantage right??? Or what about screen mhz? This keyboard isn't any different...
in my opinion there is no problem with that keyboard because i think that the big gaming companies will build keyboards with these features in the future too
and the technology will evolve anyway to some point where this is the standart for every keyboard.
Yup and the price for this feature will slowly drop making it more accessible.
Yeah something like this is progression on technology and something that shouldn't be held back because soon most keyboards will have this
@@user-rl6wr2ny7frazer is already copying this with their "huntsman kini analog" amd it is not as good but also cheaper which is a good direction for tech like this to go
@@cjayscribNot really comparable. The keyboard changes the actuation while a strike pack just gives better aim straight up.
I have one and the keyboard is amazing. I feel like they are just raising the standards for keyboards. As a smaller company that is taking over the scene they are super cool.
@@Divinity_vA Also analog switches are far from new...
Bro needs a keyboard to get good😂😂
how much does it cost
@@ninja2MC $180 if I remember correctly. I have one it is amazing
im working on getting myself one and im so excited
Guess I have nothing more to comment on this then? :D
Thanks for covering the keyboard, and we really think the additional set of features analog keyboards bring to the market will be the new standard.
SoonTM
any tkl keyboards coming from wooting soon?
I thought I’d get the 60he for my 16th birthday today but I just didn’t :(
Will you guys have Swiss French format?
65% version please and thank you
The wooting eliminates almost every variable except raw input skill. It makes excellent gamers better whilst providing no benefit to most people because they lack the skill to utilise that level of precision. A strike pack on the other hand actively removes a skill from being needed. How anyone can argue they are equitable I really don't understand.
controller players don't know the difference between skill and seeing the winning screen
A great take on things, honestly!
I think a better comparison would be a SCUF/Battle Beaver for controller players.
nahh, scuff just moves buttons so you can do things without having to stop moving and or looking, basically makes the playing field closer to a standard keyboard
@@blxckleppxrd the triggers are adjustable to shoot faster than standard controllers. SCUF themselves calls it “mouse click response”.
@@Agattine so again.... leveling the playing field... imagine if your keyboard and mouse had the ROM of a trigger on a controller.... so yea... mouseclick
@@Agattine The Dualsense edge and the Xbox elite controller also have hair triggers, they aren’t game changers. I have them both as well as the original pads, it’s the paddles that are the advantage, the triggers aren’t. And the paddles/rear buttons take some time to master and are more about adding comfort and convenience so you don’t have to play claw
I bought the Wooting HE2 about 2 months ago and while I went from a 20% super glide accuracy to around 80%, wouldn't you know it move movement doesn't win all your fights. Comparing it to a strike pack is a large stretch IMO.
i use normal gaming keyboard and i hit 80% of my superglides imo i dont think it changes much
I have a Wooting and wouldn’t consider it cheating in the slightest. I’d say the Wooting is the MnK version of an Elite Series 2 or duel sense edge controller. All of them have their own software where you can fine tune nearly everything about it and change how the game feels.
In a game that’s majority controller nowadays I feel like it’s fair play to those who are sticking with MnK to use this keyboard
just a slight correction: The feature is called Rapid Trigger. no fire present. Oh also side-side note: DKS isnt macros. It activates a different key depending on the depth of your key press and depending on if the key moves up or down.
if you want a really in depth look at this keyboard, another creator know as optimum tech has a really well done video on the wooting, and also explains its advantages in apex as well. well worth the watch to learn more about the keyboard.
If indeed the anticheat of Anybrain should be introduced, I am curious how it deals with such software customized inputs.
So let me get this straight. Wooting 60HE is just a mech keyboard that allows you to set the activation depth? That's as much of an advantage as having a standard mechanical keyboard against someone who uses membrane (which is barely at all). Comparing that to CroneUs or that Shite Pack users is insane.
I got the Wooting 60HE and its the best Keyboard i tried in over 15 years of playing MnK!
Wat mouse u use
no because you can have the same controls on a optical keyboard with hot swap switches. all you need to do is trim the actuation stem for your crouch key and boom you did the same thing software does just takes some trial and error in getting the right lengths. all on a board under $100
I would look at it the same was as controller configure their deadzone and other settings. When does the input happend and when does it end. Optimized to your playstyle and liking. I dont think you can go wrong with 1-1 input rule
If they had a 65 or TKL I’d buy it. But it’s missing the F keys which I use and I hate not having arrows ( yes I know you can do the second function key, big no)
I'm not the best movement player, not by a longshot (i fail wallbounces here and there and i suck with ziplines), but its crazy how consistent i got at supergliding with the wooting (i got the wooting two he, the full sized one). According to the web superglide trainer, I used to have about 14% chance of supergliding but now I have a 84% chance (if locked on 120fps). In the real game though, I play on uncapped fps and I still hit most of my superglides. And not only that, my tap strafes are much more precise, and I sometimes accidentally do something close to a neo strafe? but not really since i lose momentum even with stim. but i could strafe in a square somewhat. Every movement just feels clean and responsive and its just amazing. By far one of the best upgrades to my peripherals other than my monitor
Where do you buy it
Where’s the updated vid for the setup?
I have around a 60-70% success right now using my keyboard with space and C at about 240FPS
This seems like one of the things that is controversial when it first shows up but becomes stacked down the line and I think we just need to wait it out
I would say this is more in relation to an overclocked controller than a strike pack, lowering the latency of your movement. It’s not cheating, just p2w.
Either way, gaming companies should start following the analog switches trend instead of people trying to label it as cheating so everyone sticks to the slower generic gaming keyboards.
Love your videos dude keep it up
how can anybody even say that the wooting is cheating, while rollers on pc exist....
i always wondered how people looted so fast like timmy when off drop since im a console player but now i know! good vid ottr, also agree with your take...not cheating defs a bit pay to win but there will always be other people with better stuff than you especially on the PC side of things
Hey I didn't see anyone mention this but normal mechanical keyboard doesn't register key when bottom out but there will be an actuation point or travel distance where the keystroke regis.
About rapid trigger you can (theoretically) achieve almost same speed with normal keyboard if you practice to press and release.
Example: if your switch bottom out at 4 mm, actuation point is at 2.5mm travel distance and reset point is 2.4 you don't need to bottom it out you just try need to press to 2.5mm and release to 2.4 and press again( but Rapid trigger just easier)
All of these are from osu! Player who enjoy apex legends view.
Rapid trigger just make spamming easier but doesn't make your finger control any better.
In the end keyboard are just making you hit thing easier(in both osu! And apex community) but it doesn't make you better . if you suck and buy this keyboard. You are still being suck just with analog keyboard.
I remember switching from logitech g510 membrane keyboard to SteelSeries Apex 7 RED mechanical and even writing an essay on word was like night and day. Not to mention inputs while gaming.
Steel series apex pro has the ability to change the actuation because it’s magnetic hybrid keys so you could replicate this to do superglides
Just got mine in the mail today can’t wait to try it out on some apex
Razer huntsman v2 has analog swtiches also
Yeah I wouldn't consider a faster keyboard to be cheating because you are still making inputs. It's just a faster keyboard, not a robot helping you with the game (like the Zen/StrikePack or macros)
this is the first helpful video on the wooting ive seen everything else says the same thing this actually confirmed i want it
im hopefully geting this at my birthday in 3 days xD
Cheating would be something altering the intended function of the game; like perceived recoil being lowered by a strike pack or similar. Super glides can be hit on any input device, some being easier than others. My pov is that an analog keyboard is a different input device, and more comparable to a controller, than a keyboard with how analog inputs are registered. This keyboard doesnt give you aim assist though, 0/10 (ive been wanting to pick one up for a while now, cant wait until i get paid B] )
i have steelseries apex pro , does the same thing btw. difference is actuation point in Steelseries is 0.2 and wooting is 0.1. i think its negligible and you can customize both the same.
How i understand it, is the tachyon mode is just a fast response time, but corsair offers keyboards with 8000hz polling. Aka: 0.125ms response time
As i understand, it's basically the same as tachyon mode, please correct me if I'm wrong.
The main difference here is just the analog switches
I'm pretty sure in your country bro, if they sent you the item free, then by advertising standards, it IS an ad. (In the UK its even worse with ASA being unclear on if a REVIEW is an ad or not, ) but if you're sent the item, in your country, its defo counted as sponsored and I'm pretty sure counts as an "ad" too, so you may want to adjust/mute the audio for the part where you explicitly say the opposite.
I don't think mechanical over membrane is an actual advantage if you're used to membrane's feel. Unless it has objectively slower response time, it's all about preference. Though mechanical rightfully are more popular because people generally prefer that
so you can just hold W to tap strafe?
I have a membrane keyboard I am pleased with it but it's a one hand keyboard with like 36 keys or whatever having a small space bar is great no clicks missed this one might do the difference off drop when there is many teams contesting your landing spot to consider this to the equivalent of a strike pack is just copium to having aim assist it might help get the right timing but if you are pressing keys at the wrong time no keyboard can bless you lol
I have a pretty bad PC, and I didnt really know how bad it was until I went o my friend's house and played on his. I am only ever able to get a couple kills on mine (it runs at like 25 fps) but on his I dropped like kills. Thats when I realized I dont actually suck, its just my setup 😂😂
I've never tried it, but everyone says it's easy to press. I'm using a QK75 keyboard and it's pretty easy to hit the Supergilde.
Unless the wooting can give you Aim Assist then its not even close to cheating
I find it strange that people are complaining about the variable actuation distance. (For example on space vs control). On any modern hot swappable keyboard you can just purchase a single mechanical switch that has a higher actuation distance and accomplish the exact same thing, it’s just easier on a wooting. The rapid fire again can be accomplished by high actuation point switches, albeit less fluid.
I don’t think the wooting deserves to be called a cheating device just because it makes these customizations more accessible. It’s just a very good peripheral.
The fact that someone could say a different kind of key switch is the same as a strike pack is so brain dead. Oh no, someone is a couple milliseconds faster than me!!! They’re cheating!!!! Good lord.
It’s the same as saying a better monitor, gpu, or internet connection is cheating. The more important thing to worry about is your own skill. Cringe tbh.
The New Apex pro TKL with 0,2mm is also very good
If I can hit a superglide 80-90% of the time on a laptop keyboard, then everyone can.
@@Divinity_vA funny you mention controller, tried it today using my phone as a gamepad. Like it is 0.4 on PC but without touching my right stick and just strafing while holding the shoot btn, I could one clip dummies. It just locks on, I didn't know it was this powerful tbh
No wonder pros and some top preds play on controller. This plus scripts or configs is just straight up cheating imo.
@@Divinity_vAHey, no need to get this offensive. They both have their pros and cons but as a FPS game, aiming and shooting are the main part of it. Controllers definitely have an advantage at that. But they have to cater to the average joe, who just wants to casually game and win without having to put much effort.
I mostly just want the option to separate games on input, MNK and controllers ( both pc, console). Also ban/limit usage of zen/movement scripts/steam input configs. It would definitely improve experience for both experienced players and new players.
@@liv6646that's if you're on pc console Na it's bad.
they should just make it so these things are made possible on lower end hardware. that way everyone has access to these techniques
Then there’s me who just uses custom key boards 😂 id give up performance for my zoom65 any day bc its just a dream to type on
As long as macros are left out of the picture making inputs more like real time isn’t anything near cheating, plus controller and Mnk shouldn’t be compared anyways because of the difference of those
Steelseries makes a keyboard with per key actuation as well
I want one so my movement can be at 100% while my aim stays at 50%.
Yea I’m a controller player (been on console most of my life and so MnK isn’t where I’m at yet… trying to get my gaming PC soon) and ain’t no way that’s the same thing as the strike pack or chronos thing… turbo buttons and changing assignments to perform multiple actions is just simply cheating. Now I have a similar feeling about mouse wheel for multiple jump inputs for tap strafing but yet ppl complaining that controller players shouldn’t be able to link their movement stick to about the same thing, but that’s a different topic all together even though I just play on normal controller config.
Btw I’ve just started trying to incorporate super glides with my controller on my dying laptop (it fluctuates between 80 fps to 5fps depending on wth is going on) and I’ve been able to do it more than a handful of times and I can’t even wall jump on a consistent basis. So it ain’t THAT hard to learn.
2 questions, did you get banned and how expensive is this thing?
Getting a low ping does have its drawbacks... no lag compensation at all
"Obviously, a $5k computer wont make you better at aiming." The irony...
can not be cheating, I have one for weeks and I still suck.
@ottr, you do not press the two keys with the same finger? Can you hit them consistently?
No I'm more comfortable hitting c and space with separate fingers
So you mean to tell me the reason why whenever Im in a gun and flustering like an idiot, trying to do things quickly, pressing the same button multiple times and not getting my desired result is due to my keyboard shitty input lag???????? Where tf do I buy?
So it’s adding/remove dead zones to a keyboard.
I've got a Wooting 60he and still can't super glide or do any movement shit.
do you want to nmake a video how to paly kings canyon?
WIthout macros I would be lost. Just yesterday my right mouse button stopped working and I just made a macro to get rid off the gshift and bind right mouse click to it! :D
Last year my scroll wheel stopped working for almost a year I used G4 and G5 keys on my keyboard to loot boxes in apex legends! :D
I guess it’s cheating, but it’s nothing you can’t replicate by going into CFG files.
I can do whatever movement tech I want. And it’s not cheating it’s not considered bannable
this is the 2nd time hearing about the wooting keyboard being considered as "cheater keyboard" from a different community
My problem with the keyboard shown, its not a ten keyless.
steelseries do have this. i have it on my steelseries apex pro.
It’s legit just a really good keyboard ppl should cope 🤣 ppl only complain when they can’t afford it or ain’t good with it
I as well have a wooting 60he and I have to say NO this is not cheating kinda, yes This keyboard has alot of Functions to make your gameplays a bit better. The 1mm Activation points, rapid trigger, analog inputs, tachyon mode for faster inputs this board is a beast for Fps lovers and mmorpg or just any games all around, but there is one other keyboard that does the same thing as the wooting and that is the SteelSeries apex pro or pro mini. it doesnt have all the stuff wooting has other then the 2mm Activation points. you still need to have some type of knowledge to do any tricks in Apex, even with the wooting in hand for the first day. when i first got my keyboard I still wasnt proforming the superglides, wall jumps till after two weeks of just playing with the wooting. The keyboard is hit or miss for some IMO, but i can see why this is board is being called out. It just too damn fast the only way other boards can come close to a wooting is to either get keycaps rings to push the activation point from 5mm to a 3mm even to 2mm or 1mm that if you want to experiment, or overall mod your keyboards by opening it up and lube each key swich, and tape mod that sucker for a kinda wooting 60he experience but for other boards to have that tachyon mode feeling idk lag switch or something i have no clue. Ottr you make me a better apex player every day with you're videos thanks man, keep up the great work.
60% is not gonna be great in an MMO unfortunately
@@ilikehiking i hope you know we are talking about the wooting 60he witch is a 60%, but can be customized be any button or combination of inputs a regular 60% can't do at all, unless you use macros so yes your only 50% correct, but your referring to boards that are not the 60he. so yes this 60% keyboard itself can play any mmorpg very easily and better then a regular 60%.
@@ilikehiking trust me I tested this sucker out on 100+ games in every category it really works better then i can tell you.
@@shondavis54 You can reprogram pretty much every 60% keyboard on the market with modifiers and such. It's just simply too much of a pain in the ass in an MMO as they have a lot of keybinds. Having extra keys available even for actions that aren't important in combat such as mounting or whatever is just too valuable, and I just cannot be bothered to reprogram and learn the modifiers for so many actions just because this company decided to adapt a stupid minimalist layout. If I only played shooters like Apex I would instantly buy this, but unfortunately I play more games.
I'm not the only one who thinks 60% sucks, every video about this keyboard has people saying this. As much as I want this keyboard from a technological standpoint, I know that they will eventually release a TKL or 75% keyboard so I'll just wait it out. Patience is a virtue.
@@ilikehiking Not really majority of 60% boards don't have a program to change anything like any board you get on amazon if it not a razor Logitech, corsair or ASUS your assed out, everything else sounds more like a skill issue and if you have big hands this wont work for you since alot of ppl in the world have the time and the brain power to make key profiles for what ever you are doing I have profiles for typing, fps, driving sims and mmorpgs and can remember all my key presses so if this is a problem for you it may not be a problem for many others and they did have a TKL board but was discontinued it may come back in a year or two. This is a dope conversation. (meaning good)
PS11 gonna be hype 🔥🔥💯
Does the keyboard make superglides etc easier, sure... Comparing it to a strikepack/cronus is just dumb and it should rather be compared to a battlebeaver or something like that with paddles on the back making it easier to press certain buttons.
Does tachyon mode help? While yes, it loweres the input latency, but you forgot to consider the fact that most if not all humans wont notice the difference between 2ms and 1ms. Hitting your peak wasnt limited to your keyboards latency. Adjustable actuation points are not a Wooting exclusive, plenty of gaming keyboards have adjustable actuation points so adding that to one of the reasons a wooting should be banned is just dumb. Its a nice feature, but nothing special. RapidFire might be the most "OP" feature in my eyes, but the clip comparing rapidfire vs a standard keyboard is incredibly misinformative and could be considered false advertisement LMAO. Nobody is telling you to BOTTOM OUT your standard keyboard. Get to know your keyboard, learn the actuation point, hover just above it and with small micro adjustments and boom, you effectively made your own rapidfire technology..
To end this little rant, the first pc was made 10 years before any membrane keyboard.. Razer released the blackwidow in 2010, 13 years ago! No, mechanical keyboards were not rare or expensive, it was 80 bucks on release. You only find budget keyboards below that price TODAY! I can pull multiple mechanical keyboards from before you were even born out of the closet man. Started with called Inhuman an impression farmer and proceeds to spend over 8 minutes basically spreading misinformation.. jfc do better Ottr
Steelseries apex pro already had all this for ages lol
as a wooting 60he keyboard user, don't ban it or i'll stop spending money on the game. 👏👏WOOTING 60HE IS NOT CHEATING 👏👏sure its a "competitive advantage" but it would never beat a cfg user / cfg controller user. If anything should be removed it would be cfg controller users, they get aim assist and movement. im not being prejudice against controller players in general, but the cfg files allow with using a controller.
I don't care to use a macro, but consistent input times is what interests me
I got the SteelSeries apex pro, it has dual actuation as well as adjustable actuation. So can hit space bar, and actuate both jump and then crouch, in that order. Jump actuation is halfway, crouch is at the bottom. Super glide accuracy is probably 90%+.
The timing is all me though, I dont consider it cheating because of that. My friend who doesn't play mnk tried and it took him ~15 tries to hit his first successful glide. It makes it WAY easier to be consistent, but its still a skill
Added benefit is that you can free up the v or c keybind. I've got crouch bound to "p"
I set the jump actuation halfway and crouch at the bottom and it doesn't work well for me. What FPS do you play at?
@@unkkit151 okay I just checked and I was indeed wrong. Jump actuation is at the very top at 0.2mm, and crouch is at the very bottom at 3.8mm. Good luck, happy supergliding!
I play at 140fps
Why would there be a problem with this keyboard when the whole of pc can just config file it??
6:12 true. I upgraded my CPU (got i5 12400) and i already upgraded to 144hz monitor. My K/D moved from hard 0.84 to 1. Also it got bit easier for me. Still, i need to git gud.
apex should release their own keyboard using these mechanic so no one complains standardize gameplay by input
Hear me out, and I know this will never happen... but instead, they could just make it so these mechanics aren't frame-dependent. I know, I know it's just a pipe dream.
Wishing everyone on PC was on a level playing field is putting everyone back onto console but console days like PS3
me personally supergliding is really ez just put V as secondary crouch and then you can superglide easier try it
wooting keyboards have been controversial in a bunch of games, i know of 3 including apex (osu and trackmania) and it feels like the general consensus is that people who get them think they are definitely an advantage over other keyboards
Of course they are an advantage. Better quality hardware is always an advantage in PC gaming. Better mice, better monitors, better keyboards, better GPUs, etc. will always give an advantage in games that are about speed, control, and response times.
If the complaint that better peripherals/hardware is cheating, then I think people better play on console instead of PC. Of course, some people have paddles on their controllers and strike packs, and better resolution TVs, etc., so the problem won't completely go away there, but it is perhaps reduced.
Nah, it just makes movement easier to do(if you have no knowledge then its kinda useless), doesnt make u have 0 recoil and aim for you.
It feels so sponsored ngl..
As someone who has a 90% consistensy with super gliding on console it's not that hard if you get the timing right so don't cheat pls go in the firing range and train
As a console player I can hit super glides left and right I’ve gotten the timing down
Agreed and with great reasoning!
Stock is expected late June............I'll wait till in stock to order. Thanks about time keyboards got upgrades.
It's almost always for pre-order only right now. I had to pre-order, cause if you want to wait for it to be in stock, you'll wait for a while until queue will empty out.
If you wait for stock youre gonna keep waiting. As soon as its in its sold out to pre-orders
I rarely comment, but I know keyboards. I've made over a dozen custom keyboards (most are kits, but one has been of my own design and one other hand wired.) I also have over 120 different variations of switches (mostly one-off sample switches.) While you can't (easily) get the level of control of analog switches, you can very easily have different actuation switches in different locations. So I 100% agree this isn't even remotely the same as cheating.
Ottr mannen vad föreslår du att man ska köra med i Apex, tangentbord och mus eller kontroller? Jag är vanligt vis en kontroller spelare men det känns som aimassist är op så jag försöker gå över till tangentbordet🫤
You think they're going to ban it at all? I doubt it is that contreversial
If you guys ever want to make content calling things cheating that are obviously not cheating is a great way to farm viewers I love how gullible the internet is now a days say something wrong and on purpose and the internet will correct you love it
i own the wooting 60he and it defo is not cheating lol in a game like osu where clicking matters way more people dont even consider it cheating ik this is just for content but it honestly does not make a big difference for apex
u can just set up a config that caps ur fps to 30 for a slit second so all u gotta do is scroll at the right time and boom its that easy i have used it for 500 hours but now i play controller and could care less abt super gliding
Wooting offer not a crutch or some feature like macros that automates or manipulates inputs, it's a legitimate innovation on keyboard switches.
How the hell do you compare a technological innovation that improves responsiveness to something that gives you an advantage through automation ?
If we go by this logic, let's call G-Sync/FreeSync and Nvidia Reflex to be cheating, because they give you consistency and lower latency than compared without them!
I don't see a single solid point that can be made against Wooting's Lekker switches to justify it as "cheating", what the hell LOL
So people say it cheating because you're able to make it faster💀
this keyboard already got banned in trackmania tournaments due to its completely customizable input ratio's. But this is apex they don't care what your doing as long as your playing the game... my only real issue with it thoo is how ez they make for people to setup macro's, that will be abused no doubt.
Ottr approved.
Steelseries apex pro does basically the same
I got Steel Series Apex Pro Full. This has custom Actuation. The only real advantage is the faster response time and slightly more consistent super glides.
Once he mentioned Rapid Fire, I can definitely see this being cheating.
I went from Razer Blackwidow 2016 to a custom Keyboard then to the Apex Pro because they latency and actuation were closer to my old keyboard.
It's not actually rapid fire. It's hard to explain, but I'm pretty sure it's all your inputs and the keyboard is just able to read them better compared to other keyboards. No automation involved
