Thanks for showing me all over Washington. I have a son and his wife in Sammamish, and their sons go to college in Bellingham. It was nice to share their state with them for a while. I like to travel like you do, stop here and then there and everywhere 😃 And, since I love photography, I appreciated you showing all the scenery. I have never used a drone, so that was a nice treat. Since I am home alone most of the time due to the pandemic, you gave me something to look forward to each day. God bless you.
Great video! And an awesome virtual vacation 2020! Safe trip home to AZ. "Talk soon." Greetings from central Florida. I just retired 3 weeks ago, and I plan to do a van trip from FL to Quartzsite AZ in January 2021. Woo hoo!
Thanks Russ for taking us along on for the ride of RVerTV Virtual Vacation Tour 2020! Awesome! Glad you are safe in AZ! Waiting for the 'BIG ANNOUNCEMENT" !! See you friend! :)
Russ, your virtual vacation brought you within a mile of my house and many of my friends homes, spread out along highway 20 , 101 and even Cathlemet. I have friends in Chewelah, Republic, Tonasket, Mazama, Concrete, Port Townend, Sequim, Port Angeles, Forks, and Cathlamet close to the ferry. I've traveled highway 20, highway 4 and highway 101 many times. I never tire of it. I'm so blessed to live on the Olympic Peninsula. It's a shame that Cape Flattery was closed. I love the cape. My friends and I go fishing out of Sekiu often. We sometimes drive the boat clear over to Neah Bay when we're getting skunked. I'm part of an adventurous senior women's contingent contingent who owns and operates our own personal recreational fishing boats. Watching your virtual vacation made me wish I was traveling. You passed within a mile or two of a couple of my previous homes, one in Jackson Hole and one in Idaho Falls. You even passed by my sister's previous home in Mullan, Idaho. It was good revisiting these treasured places thru your vlog. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Russ ! Glad you are not going down through Oregon or Calif. To Idaho and down to Arizona is best.. Avoid the Heavy smoke.. Gee.. Wonder what the surprise is.. " Don't Unpack your bags ! " Can't Wait ! Stay Happy and, Safe ! Talk Soon !
Great trip Russ! Don't blame you, we're getting some smoke here in Missouri from the fires. Few days looked gray like rain but was from forest fire smoke. Can't wait to see what you've got planned next! Take Care and see you soon!👍😃
Thank you for taking us along on your vacation. My husband and I travel to Washington every year for ours (from Canada). We sure miss that tip. Take care, stay safe,
Hey, Russ. Thanks for your sharing your amazing vacation with us. Reminds me of the road trip that I took 3 years ago after my wife passed away. I left South Carolina with my dog in my truck and made it all the way to the Seattle area, taking the northern route through Iowa, the Dakotas, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and Washington. Never did get down to Oregon. Stopped at a lot of the same places that you did - brought back a lot of memories. Came back east through the middle of the country. Was gone about 6 weeks, and loved every minute of it, most of the drive was off the Interstate system. Planning on doing it again soon. Safe travels.
Well Russ, I bet your ready to get home! I'm exhausted and I haven't even left the house! It has been the best virtual vacation EVER! Thank you! Safe journey, see ya back in Quartzsite!
For 38 years I've lived traveling I-5 in Washington but never visited Cathlamet! A cute little river town. Thank you for this visit and for the entire Summer 2020 Virtual Tour! My bags will stay packed because I'm ready for the big announcement and the next trip!
84 is a segmented Interstate, Russ. Its eastern section passes through my old stomping grounds in Putnam County, New York. Thanks for getting me out of the house this summer, and showing in what a beautiful country we live.
Yes, very happy and honored to have you as a visitor to explore our Great State of Washington!! That island you went on to get to the ferry is Puget Island. Although it's a large island, it's not the largest one along the Columbia. That honor goes to Sauvie Island. I admit that I never rode on the Oscar B. Much of Oregon was well into the hazardous range, with some places above 500 and 600 AQI. PDX was in the hazardous AQI for many days. At times, both the WA and OR coastline was very heavily smoked over. That smoke extended over 1000 miles off the OR coastline. And... the wildfire smoke created a smoky haze over the Canadian Maritime provinces, including the Island of Newfoundland and Labrador. Over the weekend, it covered most of Hudson Bay. The smoke actually made its way over to the British Isles and other parts of Northern Europe. Hope it wasn't too bad for you going thru the Columbia Gorge on 84. Much of that area was also in the hazardous range.
Wife and I watched every episode & loved it. We've traveled some of the same places. It was great to see them again. GREAT JOB! Too cool for school. :) Look forward to your next adventures.
Hello Russ, Thank you so very much for the Summer Virtual Vacation 2020, we commend you on an Awsome travel trip, very interesting and exciting. Can hardly wait until you return home to see what you have up your sleve.. Haha Stay safe Larry & Linda
I love the videos & the SKY has always been super blue. Now they are white cloudy like IL. skies. We have had smoke we can taste, really sad from West fires. Wow
Thank you for a wonderful summer trip. My wife and I started watching after your Capitol Reef Utah video. Been watching almost everyday since then. We were in Utah last year and thought Capitol Reef was a place not to be missed. Since we have been in Lockdown on Long Island, New York, your videos have felt like we were traveling in the West again. I agree with you that Yellowstone gets to crowded. Stay well and stay safe, Pete
Russ...thanks for giving me a virtual vacation, sight seeing, discovery, etc... of this west side of the Mississippi. You started out in Arizona and I started following you "since Flagstaff". That was an amazing summer trip you took us on. Enjoy your time off and ....until the next one........God bless.....
Really enjoyed this vacation and the series. I saw a lot of this beautiful land thru your lens and wanted to thank you so much. Be safe and best wishes.
Thanks Russ, great vid, we can actually see the remnants here in Michigan especially at 6AM, reminds me of ST HELEN 1980 took 3 days to get here & 3 day to clear out
Hi Russ, the RVerTV virtual vacation tour 2020 isn’t over till you get home! I am looking forward to the trip home and I won’t unpack my bags. Another great video it has been a wonderful vacation. 👍
Good you decided not to go through California the air here where I live pretty much looked like that for a whole month, finally been clearing away. Nope smoke is coming back
Gonna be hard to avoid the smoke. We're on the CA coast & fires mostly out in our area, skies clear & blue...👍along 101. You would have enjoyed this area of CA. (FUTURE JOURNEY: 101 to 46 to I-5 but keep on 46 to 99 then S to Bakersfield. From there take 58 over the mountains to Barstow. Then it's Barstow to Needles to Kingman & home for you. Or you can do the reverse some day & visit the CA coast S of SF or San Jose). BTW if you ever need a place in Tehachapi there's a small RV RV park at the airport, Mtn Valley RV, & we would recommend it. We stayed there overnite & next a.m. spent it watching gliders taking off & landing. Had great time watching the planes...you're right next to the runway so you can pull up a lawn chair & watch.
Great video thank you for posting it I live in Washington state I enjoyed every video that you did across Washington you even came to my home town also known as the gateway to the San Juan’s, thanks for sharing your journey with everyone
This was an amazing trip and I am so very glad and thankful that you took me along. It was a great vacation. I would like some year to take a ferry from Washington to Alaska. I think that would be a great way to go. I hope that you give us some more good stuff on your way home. But if not, thanks for what you did. Stay safe and happy adventuring
Thanks Russ for the whole trip. Living in So. Cal. you can see how much I appreciated your trip. Gonna leave this state soon but until then keep us traveling with you on your scenic adventures.
What an awesome trip! I’ve been ridin along with you since July! Beautiful country we live in! I loved it! I haven’t unpacked. I’m so excited...where are we headed next?😍😎. Stay safe! ☮️♥️🇨🇱
Russ enjoyed the whole trip. THANKS! See you in Quartzite in January . Drive safe going home alot of nutty drivers on the road! As you say "talk soon". Thanks again Larry Miller San Diego Ca
Glad you are not sticking around the smoky areas but a little sad to see you are going home. It was bad north of the border as well but not as bad as a few years ago. Once you get home wipe down everything inside the van. I was shocked how black the windows were on the inside after weeks of smoke even though we kept them closed as much as possible. Loved seeing the Cascades again through your videos and hope you can head back up next summer to do the Cascade Loop. One of our favourite trips south of the border was doing the loop and then sections of it through the years so your videos brought back great memories. Sure hope the border can open up again when it is safe to do so since the scenery is spectacular.
Thanks for the trip Russ, you can still film on the way home I'd watch.
It's pronounced Cath a lamb et. :) I so enjoy your videos💕
