I would imagine so! At 1.2KG, which can easily go up to 1.8KG as I should you in the video, it shouldn’t have any problems handling the beastgrip cage..

Android integration is not as good as iOS but to be honest with you. I only use the Hohem app for adjusting some settings and for the rest I use my 3rd party app. Honestly, I don’t think I have ever shot a single clop on the Hohem app… The MT2 is a solid gimbal, and definitely will handle heavier payloads and more flexible configurations, but it is also more expensive, tough decision!!
@SamuelSotiega it didn't that's why I asked 😂? Great video though. My concern is the fold? Too thick or too heavy? Also my concern is how long does it take to set up this with a phone? Is it quick like 30 second setup or am I looking at 5 to 10 min
Yes to your first question, it can handle quite a lot of payload. The AI tracker is for people and faces, it is designed for content Creators, someone talking to camera or wanting to film himself/ herself…
@@SamuelSotiega Or are there any rumors that the next isteady pro might also come with the ai tracker¿ The smaller gimbal specifically for action cams with a tracker would be quite neat.

The MT2 will give you so much more, if you can stretch it, It is an investment worth it, in my opinion. Specially if you plan to do gigs where you will or might have a client or potential client. Looks behind the camera also matter, a lot! Plus the MT2 gives you the flexibility of using a phone or a camera. Plus, you get more clearance and range in vertical too... Where are you based?
Yes - I'm one of the suckers that purchased the Hohem M6 based on your and others' reviews. However, the when the MT2 came out - I really felt I had missed out and perhaps purchased too early. Ugh!!!!! Anyone need a paper weight?
The M6 is a great smartphone gimbal and I still use it a lot. It is very quick and easy to set up. I don’t think you need to feel let down. The M6 came out months before the MT2 so there was no way to know for me or anyone else what Hohem was working on. But the MT2 is essentially a compact camera gimbal. When I use my phoneX I still prefer and use the M6. It is quicker to set up, takes on a huge payload and the tracker works amazing.

The M6 will handle the anamorphic lenses without a problem. I tested this for you. No issues.
Hi @SamuelSotiega thank you for your response. I ended up exchanging the M6 and getting the MT2 a few days ago. I thought I'd future proof myself in case I decided that I needed more stuff😅
@@zombie_bear1797 i think that is a very good and wise decision!!
@SamuelSotiega I watched your video several times and it helped me make my decision. Thank you very much, I have now subscribed to your channel 😊
I am returning my M6 for a warranty. This will be the 4th device or 3rd replacement from Hohem. On every one of my devices, the locking mechanism failed. This last one also has glitchy videos and the button and zoom lever stick. They have refused to upgrade me to a better device. At this point, it's very frustrating, but, when it works, it's amazing. Hopefully, Hohem makes things right this time. -wopspeed.
Oh no, I am so sorry to hear... I know that they are working on follow up models, not sure if they will be out this year or the next though... But yes, the locking mechanism is one of the main, if not the main issue..
Another question on hohems website for the mt2 it says you can hit the trigger 4 times to put it into ultra wide mode but that doesn’t make sense to me because the way the arms and motors are placed it is always in ultra wide mode so I guess my question is does the mt2 actually do anything if you hit the trigger 4 times. Again thank you.
I see that you got through Hohem and get this sorted. Sorry for the late reply, been busy as hell lately...
hello Samuel, i have the MT2, you know how can i do a "focus" on something and then do a hiperlapse? i can't find how, with a cellphone.
do you have a sample video or link I can look at what exactly you want to achieve?
The name of the nd filter gear please sir
For the smartphone or the camera?
Can I use the MT2 with Beastgrip Pro cage?
I would imagine so! At 1.2KG, which can easily go up to 1.8KG as I should you in the video, it shouldn’t have any problems handling the beastgrip cage..
I only have a Weebill S at the moment, is there a way to record in vertical mode with my iPhone on the Weebill S?
I don’t own a weebill S so I can’t really tell, but would this video help to illustrate a possible way? ruclips.net/video/oVUwiqfCDzU/видео.htmlsi=gUC3dPoxATxr2oi_
How good is the App on SAMSUNG S22 Ultra / Android? - I note these Chinese gimbals are quite good on iPhones but lacking usually on android your thoughts please.
Ps Great review! - I've been toying the idea also swaying towards MT2 as I want to use a lighting with the device and other accessories.
Which is the best for using a galaxy z fold 4 and a mic?
I hope the vídeo would help you answer that question. If it didn’t, what is your specific concern
?
@SamuelSotiega it didn't that's why I asked 😂? Great video though.
My concern is the fold? Too thick or too heavy?
Also my concern is how long does it take to set up this with a phone? Is it quick like 30 second setup or am I looking at 5 to 10 min
Great video. Thanks for sharing
Glad you found it helpful!
so can the mt2 hold a phone with a big case... and does the AI tracker track items as well??
Yes to your first question, it can handle quite a lot of payload. The AI tracker is for people and faces, it is designed for content Creators, someone talking to camera or wanting to film himself/ herself…
@@SamuelSotiegahandle the weight, but the M6 can’t HOLD the SIZE of a beastgrip cage. Will the MT2
@@Improv_jav what’s the total max weight you’re looking at putting on the gimbal?
Can you do a review on the M6 using an action camera. 🙏🏾
I will think about it!!
@@SamuelSotiega Or are there any rumors that the next isteady pro might also come with the ai tracker¿ The smaller gimbal specifically for action cams with a tracker would be quite neat.
I think the MT2 is the best investment for future because of its payload capacity. Since new phones get heavier with newer technology.
Yes, the MT2 is a great gimbal and for smartphones is also very good...
Hohem discount code not working.
Oh! Really? Let me look into this. I am emailing my contact and Hohem and will get back to asap. Wait for a but to see if I can get it back on, a 15% off is a fair bit of savings…
I got this from my contact at Hohem. I hope it helps.
The discount code is invalid now because the products are on sale and they have automatically discount now, no need to use the code. The code will be valid again from 2nd Jan 2024.
Let me know what you decide in the end!
I would only use the ai tracker for selfie vlogging 😂 because I want to be in frame 😮
You can use it also for building/creating mini scenes, so many uses…
Amazing video
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
the discount code does not seem to work. perhaps too old?
ohh, let me look into it and get back to you
I just heard back from Hohem. They currently have sales on their store so no discount codes work, but they have given me a 20% discount code that will work when the sales are over. Do see if you get the same deal now! Discount code: YT20
@@SamuelSotiega Thank you somuch, this seems to work. Do you have ant idea till when it is valid? (we'll be out of town for 2 weeks)
@@floralartistsbyvandoninkro4661 i donl't know, but it should be valid for some time moving forward. But I don't work for them, so I don't really know! If you use my liunk to their site it might last for a lot longer due to relationship between the brand and the creator.. 😉
I haven’t bought any gimbal yet and I already feel “buyers remorse”
hahaha, I can totally relate to that feeling too! Did you watch my recent Ai gimbal comparison video? Would that help?
the phone holder should have a MagSafe attachment. that would be perfect
I have to agree with you on that, 100%!
I'm thinking of starting short form filming for certain events. In your opinion should I start off with the M6 or MT2?? Money is a factor. However I will be using mics and additional lighting and other peripherals which will add weight.
Cheers!
MT2 is the best..
it's a lot of fun to use it for sure!!
Buenas, ¿cómo ves el MT2 para una Panasonic GH5 Mark2? ¿Algo justo por peso? Muchas gracias y un saludo
You creo que si. Me puedes decir, si pesas la camara, batería y lente que quieres usar, cuanto pesa?
Could you please make video explaining explicitly about holding holding gimbal facing forward to use all 3 axis, i try to search for this info and i never find anything, i want to understand how this works.
Set the gimbal to PF mode (tilt lock). It will keep the horizon levelled while you vlog. Would this be helpful for what you are trying to do?
@@SamuelSotiega Not really. you mention many times that gimbal supposed to be held in hands not straight but under slight angle to use all 3 axis, i want to visualize why because its not clear to me.
It would be nice to compliment my smooth 5s
Not the osmo mobile 5 gimbal, that is a toy 😂
If you use a mirrorless camera, the MT2 is a great addition if you plan to use the AI tracker… if purely for stabilisation, i would recommend the zhiyun M3S…
@@SamuelSotiega do I need to upgrade my phone gimbal for the ai tracker or just get the mt so I can uses my phone and mirrorless camera and keep the 5s for Gimbal stuff in mobile
I just bought the m6 and its my first gimbal. Its overheats after 5 minutes of use. What am i doing wrong? My phone is s23 ultra
That is very odd. I don't know. Please reach out to Hohem support, they are very good and very quick in helping customers, regardless of where you bought it from. As far as I am aware they have always resolved any issues from anybody that has contacted them, and very quickly!
ensure all motors are unlocked, i use the I-steady M6 with the S23 Ultra and never overheated, even when taken on a recent trip to Portugal in 32 degree heat
Scorp mini2 is better than Hohem?
For somethings, yes. For others, no. Like everything in life…
@@SamuelSotiega I have thought about it and seems more robust the Feiyu, many comparisons seem to give as a winner Feiyu in stability and robustness, I have seen many videos where they complain of failures and breakages of Hohem , is a mess, I like the versatility of both, although the application I prefer is Hohem for its great variety of editions... thank you very much
