100% agree. I feel like i've heard the routines before. I know they slightly different but just not that exciting in my opinion. Dont get me wrong, Azel is technically better than 99% of beatboxers out there, and his techniques are so so so clean but it's just sounds like more of the same to me. 1st round to stan for sure. 2nd round to Azel mostly because of the energy and a bit more of a story to it. Stans second round felt like it didnt really go anywhere but still great beatboxing all around! :) Much love
Stan is amazing, goddamn, what a top tier beatboxer. I don't know how he sounds live, but here: it was fantastic. Clean and sounding absolutely fresh. Fantastic structure as well. When i thought the round was ending with some random beat (which unfortunately happens a lot), he always brought back the main idea and wrapped it all up perfectly. The progression with the jazzy beat at the second round was an absolute eargasm, super complex patterns that sound absurdly polished filled with precise beats and ideas. What an original style, definitely a breath of fresh air. 10/10 second round, flawless. Unlike most current beatboxers that i tend to dislike the approaches, styles that are caracterized solely by special sounds, etc, this guy has what i love so much in beatboxing: Ambition in every detail. I'll say, playing with the basics, imagining different rythms and developing a approach with them is way more interesting and innovative than a bunch of special sounds following the same pattern that some basics would do alone. Stan had way more variety, you can see that big blend of styles on both rounds. Azel just focuses on the same vague riddim and heavy electronic stuff, that limitates what he can do with his skills (even ending up repeating that same exact fillers). I mean, Azel is a great beatboxer, but need to expand his ideas, he has a fantastic sound set, power and energy, but his arrangements, build ups, fillers and approches in general are always repetitive and didn't work in this scenario. His battle moves and attitude didn't fit in an online battle, and his dynamics didn't sound that effetive. I mean, Pulse8 definitely gave Azel a special flavour with those famous shoutouts; here, you hear it all raw. Tbh, he used to be way more creative some years ago in some shoutouts and battles. Gonna keep an eye on Stan, this guy is gonna be a giant some day if he keeps this level.

He recycled a beat from Angra verbatim and we’ve heard the demuth bass a million times now. It’s not that impressive anymore. He lost the second round because nothing was inherently different from the first round. It was the same sounds and patterns, just rearranged. He didn’t even change the flow from his first round. That’s not gonna cut it. Underwhelming performance from Azel here.
Im shocked by all the stan fansboys here... Stan gets judged by his 2 rounds (as it should be) and azel gets judged by all of his routines and his style and not just the 2 rounds... I mean both were amazing but azel had a whole composition with a variety of special sounds...
