Remembering my childhood...almost cried listening to this music...Mega Man X series was a very important part of my young age...i'll never forget this series!!!
I have to imagine it was because of copyright and/or money needed to use the song. I know there are anime dubs that don't go through this, so I'd be curious to see what X7's case was.
I still remember watching the PV online in 2003, with this song made everything of this game seemed so good and hyped the shit out of me. When I finally got the game and booted up the PS2. OH BOI, I spent 5 hours just to pass the intro stage, had severe motion sickness throughout the game, and FUCK RED BOSS FIGHT. Anyway, nice song as always.
I remember seeing the intro in some electronic shop and instantly got hooked, brought it later that day and played it for months. I know the game was considered the worst but I genuinely enjoyed it back then.

I remember they finally got Axl a good gameplay & a decent voice actor to match his age & experience (Don't think Axl appear in Maverick Hunter X, if the Maverick Hunter X got a successful marketing chance on consoles, then yeah he'd be at Maverick Hunter X7-8).
Summary of this game: - Bad introduction to 3D - Burn to the ground scream (repeat it 75 times, I'm serious, do it) - Legendary music - X acting like a coward - Axl is a guy from nowhere but anyways he becomes Zero's friend - Shitty plot and Sigma is bad boy for 7th time
Music's not legendary. It's in the middle range for the series. X isn't a "coward", he's just fed up which suits his character after all this time. Zero never acts friendly towards Axl. Plot's decent.
X6 is a mess of a game that could've been good if it weren't so rushed and sloppy. But at least the music is pretty great stuff. The OP and ED themes, Commander Yammark, Infinity Mijinion, Blaze Heatnix, Gate's Lab and Sigma's second form are all fantastic tracks.
I didn't say it was good. I said it could've been good. As for the museum level, I can think of much worse. Blaze Heatnix, Rainy Turtloid, Metal Shark Player and the abomination that is the first two Gate's Lab stages.

+massiel ramos gamboa en parte tiene razon, el x7 es uno de los juegos mas criticados de la saga de megaman, pero aparte de el soundtrak que es muy bueno, el juego en si también es bueno a pesar de sus gráficas, ya que tenia una gran dificultad y en lo personal me gusto mucho la aparicion de Axl como nuevo personaje jugable, pero claro no digo que todo sea de color de rosas ya que tiene fallos muy notorios; pero en resumen solo digo que hay que saber apreciar el juego y sacarle todo el provecho de este, el cual al menos desde mi punto de vista no te dejara soltar el mando
Eso es debido a que estan acostumbrados a usar a zero y x, ademas ellos piensan que Axl esta de mas en la saga, pero si vemos el zx y el zx advent que salieron poco despues de este si mal no recuerdo veran que Axl va a influyir mucho en la historia, al igual que en el megaman zero ya que alli zero tiene segun las especificaciones el mismo copy chip que axl

@@amspook DMC 2 was a fucked up. But I gave it a pass since it's just the 2nd game of the franchise. While Sonic 06 and X7 on he other hand, they already had fuck-ton of games before, so the sudden fucked up is quite obnoxious.
The only thing I liked about Mega Man X7 was the way the characters were animated (not that it was particularly good or anything), but the cell shading was kinda cool.

While X6 can have very questionable level design choices and nightmare system, I actually find that game enjoyable for the armors and fast gameplay and decent story. Gate was a pretty good villain X7 is just plain boring and not worth my time

While X6 can have very questionable level design choices and nightmare system, I actually find that game enjoyable for the armors and fast gameplay and decent story. Gate was a pretty good villain
X7 is just plain boring and not worth my time
X6/X7 soundtracks though... Just amazing to me.
