Not separately, no. The LINKR device is a cellular modem and connects to 4GLTE internet service (and our secure server only) just like a cell phone. So, it and your phone app can communicate.
I would love to see a follow up of this video. More and depth on the auxiliary features as well as can you do anything else with the yellow wire. Like setting it to auxiliary features. I also noticed one of the protocol was stand-alone. what do it do when you select standalone. ECT. The yellow wire and data wires? Thanks in advance for your time and response.
Hello I have 2017 Acura NSX the problem is I couldn't find the module of my car to replace do you know usually where is located? Thank you so much for nice video
I just put a remote start in my truck (Omega 70 series brain and Linkr-LT1). I’ve gotten it to communicate with the network but can’t get it to pull up vehicle functions. Those are the only two systems installed on the truck. The remote start works properly via the handheld remotes. I have the Linkr set as “standalone” in the app, is that incorrect? It pulls up gps location and vehicle battery voltage.
Hey I just instaled mine right now, and I have the exact same problem. You have to set the protocol to ADA like the manual and video says. I've done everything right but only the voltage and GPS works.
@@Comed64 I never figured it out and I returned it. I can't believe Omega didn't reply to our comments to help us even though we're right here on their channel. I have a few questions for you; is your Omega/Excalibur module updated to version 1.40? Also, do you have the LinkR LT-1 or LT-2? The one I tried was the LT-1. I think I will purchase the LT-2 and try again.
Sounds like there may be a wiring issue but you'd need to contact your dealer or our support team at 800-554-4053 or support@caralarm.com to troubleshoot further
Great video. Do you know how to change the protocol type after the setup is complete? I accidentally selected the wrong protocol and I am thinking that is my problem. Thank you in advance.
Sorry for the late answer. Best is to contact support at 800-554-4053 or support@caralarm.com so they can determine the protocol, etc. before changing it. I'm sure you figured this out by now but maybe this will help future readers. Thanks!
Sorry for the late reply! It just can't be completely surrounded by metal within about 6" (blocks cellular reception) and cannot have metal directly above it (blocks GPS). It can pick up GPS reflecting off surfaces though so your best bet is to just pick an ideal spot, power it up, and see if the lights indicate connectivity within a couple of minutes. If not, move and test again. Enjoy!
Will this work with International GSM or LTE network? If not, which LTE channel does it work with? I try to install it with my Fortin EVO-All, in Singapore
@@OmegaRD thank you! Just programed no problem. The two way is amazing. I love how the lock and unlock button are separate buttons and that the remote beeps conformation to me
Yes, the service for this device is unique to it and, luckily, much cheaper than cell phone service. This one includes the first year and is only $39/year afterwards. That's cheaper than 1 starbucks (or beer ;)) per month!

Sorry, it only works through the data port that supports iDatalink protocol. K-9 does not have a model with this functionality yet. But a new K9-CLASSIC model is coming in the new year that will support it.

Why no one talks about connecting power and ground from the harness? Customer service says you need to connect power and ground. Is this true?
