The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 are the two best Android smartphones that you can get in the United States right now, and both are excellent smart phones. Galaxy S23 Ultra vs Galaxy Z Fold 4 is an interesting video becuase it helps to answer the question buyers have on which phone they should spend their money on. While the S23 Ultra has the best camera, bigger battery, internal S-Pen and the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the Z Fold 4 is king of multitasking, can get the S-Pen Pro, has tablet mode and is a 2-in-1 smartphone experience!

I work with excel and PDF forms and the Fold 4 to me is just almost the perfect smartphone. My experience is boosted when I open it to work on my spreadsheets. Reading books is also great.
I am not trading it for a slab phone again, if the Fold 5 does not deliver any significant upgrades, I'll wait for the 6. This device, to me, is fantastic.
ipad mini 6 5G may be cheaper option (although a bit bulky)? Was wondering if you tried ipad mini 6?
Thanks Verizon, they gave me a 12.5 inch tablet ( and watch) with my S23 ultra. My phone is my phone & my tablet is my tablet.
@@DogGuy19 That's great and all, but some people like the convenience of one device for everything and will gladly pay a bit extra for that experience. It can be annoying to switch from one device to another when you use both a lot, and also if you don't carry both devices at once, you may end up in situations where you forget one or the other when you most need it.
Z fold 4 ❤
@soofiatham7130 I've thought about that; but the trade-in let me down. I'll wait for the S24 ultra, maybe by then there will be rumors of the Fold 6 that could make me want to wait for it instead.
I'm also in the group of people trading my Fold 4 for an S23U. I actually really love the Fold 4. My issues were battery life, charge speed, camera quality, and durability.
1) There are certain days that I'm a heavy user and had to charge my Fold twice during the day, and on top of that, it didn't charge very fast compared to the S23U.
2) Also, the camera quality is awful on the Fold 4 for the type of photos I was taking. My son was in a band concert and the pictures on my Fold were so bad that I didn't even keep them, I deleted them. You could barely tell which one was my son. My wife's S22 pictures looked almost professional in comparison. I also went to a Cirque du Soleil performance a few weeks ago and couldn't take any pictures, they looked terrible! I deleted them all too. Wasn't worth sharing with anyone. Maybe in close up, well lit scenarios, it's more acceptable, but not for the type of pictures I'm most likely to take.
3) And durability-wise, the hinge creaks like crazy every time I open it. The screen never seems to open all the way either, like maybe 175° instead of 180°. And 1 time, my wife placed the TV remote on the edge of my phone, and it actually put a simple on the inside frame.
4) Also, I really wish the Fold held the s-pen inside. It was such a hassle to carry separate that I never actually took it with me.
It was the durability issue that made me swap back to a regular candybar phone. My Z Fold 4 front screen clicks when I type on it because the frame of the phone has a tiny bit of play in it from opening and closing over these last 10 months. So that bugs me. Then I'm always wondering if the big screen is going to crack down the middle when I open it up. If not this time then maybe next time! Other than that it's a great phone and does everything well. It's just the durability that has a huge question mark hanging over it. Will the phone last the length of a 3 year contract? I'm not at all convinced.
i got s23 ultra and sold it and bought again Fold 4 alongside my iphone 14 pro max so S23 ultra is a good phone with great cameras but in my opinion cameras on smartphones reached a point where a human eye can see the difference anymore zooming and other features are great on s23 ultra also nightography is amazing but the camera on fold 4 is more than enough and the fold 4 is so enjoyable on bed watching netflix or youtube cant wait for Z FOLD 5
I took advantage of awesome deals I got on the Z Fold 4 and the Surface Duo. I go back and forth between the two. I absolutely love them both for different reasons but they are easily the best two devices I've ever had and I've had many. I just can't see myself going back to a typical bar style phone.
I traded my fold4 that I've had since last August, at first I thought the fold was the best device I ever had, but after a few months I noticed i rarely used the the big soft screen and I got very tired of the narrow outside screen. Since getting this 23 ultra, I know I'll never go back to folding, I love everything about this 23 ultra, the big screen and battery is amazing:)
I tried the Flip 4 and it wasn't for me. The freaking thing LOCKED every time I closed it, and there was no way to turn it off. So instead of having the convenience of the phone turn on every time I open it, it became a nuisance of a phone I need to unlock every time I open it. I returned it next day.
I figure this was the case, I think most people who have gotten the fold will eventually want to go back to the "normal" ones at some point in time. Having a big enough screen like the ultra without having to flip something open is just more convenient.
My thoughts exactly!
Majority with Fold 4 will never go back, only forward to Fold 5. Fold is hands down the best device. Nothing beats the Fold
@@noahrothschildlmft5105 that's what I thought, and a year later I switched and don't miss it at all
I went from the s22U to the fold 4. Pros: uniqueness of having a phablet. The front screen is big enough for one hand. The cool cam features such as selfie mode using the front screen preview/back cameras mode. Cons: some apps are not optimized for the big screen. Cameras aren't the best of what Samsung offers. Cases for fold 4 are horrible.
I love my fold since it's so unique. I've had so many ppl turn their heads or be fascinated by my phone.
The thing I didn't expect with the Fold was the fact that so many of the apps I use are not optimized for the bigger screen so I end up seeing smaller versions of things on a bigger screen surrounded by black bars. Also texting on the front screen of the fold is just not doable. I found myself constantly having to open it up to do the simplest of texts and the novelty soon because a tedious task. Also, I didn't realize how much better the cameras are in the Ultra. I think I am over the folding phone.
Tell me you don't use swipe to text without telling me... Haha
@@Thedoctorjosh I type for a living and that's not how my brain works lol
@@zevahc3928 haha there's a learning curve for sure
Same here! Well said
I had problems with my fold returned it and noticed how awesome the cameras are when I shoot with the S23 Ultra. I love it so far. I will see what the Z Fold 5 brings for a flagship phone it needs better flagship cameras like the S23 Ultra
Have the s23 ultra for 2 weeks, but I going to change for the z fold 4. The front screen for me is good for small hands like me. I can use 1 hand mode. And boy, everytime I open the z fold 3, its a head turner. 🤣 I dont use the camera so much. The z fold is more confortable and kinda sexy lookong phone. The s23U is definitely a beast, but since experiencing folds, i definitely not going to normal kind of phone again.
I had the fold 4 and loved it but swapped it for the 23 ultra after about a month. Texting on both screens was difficult, it was heavy, and I was constantly worried about damaging it. I preferred the larger s pen and using it on the larger screen. I miss it but a galaxy tab might be more practical for me.
This literally the main reason I switched from fold 3 to S23U is for the typing experience. I had the Fold 3 since launch and it's been inconsistent in app department and not a practical device. Sure it's a productive device. S23U on the other hand is a consistent productive and a practical device
Use Microsoft swiftkey. Significantly better than stock keyboard and the swype feature is so good on it I use it as my normal texting experience. Fold or non folds.
just order a 23 Ultra to, swapping from Fold 4. i agree 100% with all things u said. it would be better to buy the S23 ultra then get a cheap Tablet to get the feature of bigger screen at home
I'm struggling to make a choice between these two. Appreciate these videos. They help a lot!
me too i do not know wish one to go for
I had Z Fold 4 for two weeks, I gave it back after buying the S23 Ultra. Z Fold 4 has a beautiful screen and great speakers, and is primarily suitable for the consumption of content, movies, books, but ... the S23U is a much better everyday device. Lying in bed, it's easier to view one larger screen than a small or much larger one, entering text on a larger screen is difficult and impractical, 50 mpx photos in s23u and zoom are brilliant, built-in spen for quick notes without having to unfold, pull out etc, finally, the battery works much better, by the way 5000 MAh does not matter. S22u had the same amount but exynos made the system work twice as short. TWICE. To sum up, ZFold4 is a nice phone for business meetings to impress others with its foldable equipment, but still a bit impractical, most applications do not have a dual view. Outlook does, GMail requires a 90 degree rotation. Facebook, messenger, whatsapp, signal - without dual view. If social media have a dual view i would stay with Fold. Much to improve. Btw, the price with promotions is the same.
I'm super happy with my Z Fold 4. I use multitasking options on the big screen all the time. For those saying that some apps are not made for the larger screen it's an option you can actually turn on for all apps, it's just not default.
How long you been using it ? Everyone is complaining that big screen will be getting marks on grease and eventually stops 😳
@@zzzaaalll it depends. A lot of people misuse the fold. Like for instance you see people folding the screen by pressing on the internal screen instead of using the frame. Stuff like that
Not having the good rugged case and the best screen protector on zfold is the biggest no for me.
6.8 inch when watching RUclips is no difference to zfold4 with giant black bars on top and bottom. When doing things on the screen, it's no benefits. Fold is big but everything can be done on 6.8 S23. and durable wise, S23 Ultra is built like a tank.
Have the S22 Ultra... No point upgrading or changing ... Waiting for the Fold 5 if it comes with an integrated S-pen then I'll consider it.
S22U with exynos is a garbage
Exactly where I am but honestly the pen isn't a deal breaker for me. I like having it but barely use it. I had the Fold 3 and traded it on the S22U, which I really like, but am wondering about Fold 5 - would like to try the fold again.
I traded the Note 10 Plus for the Fold 4. It's been great so far. I use it a lot for Excel, PDFs and other functions. It's been really convenient as opposed to carrying a tablet everywhere for work. I probably would've opted for the 23U if it wasn't for my job.
I gave up on the Fold4, just got my 23U and love it...trading back the Fold. If they could put that fingerprint scanner power button on the S series that would be perfect!
I'm so excited. Gonna get my Samsung galaxy s23u in 2 days. A massive upgrade because I'm using Oneplus 3t currently and it's been 5 years since I changed a phone.
I've upgraded with the note every year for 10 years minus the s21 Ultra and I was going to upgrade my s22 ultra to the s23 U, but I've decided to wait for the Z Fold 5 for my first foldable device
I had a zf3 for over a year and loved it, then the 4, I got fed up of the smaller outer screen so sold it and went for pixel 7pro, no regrets or worrying about screen breaking
Funny, I have my Fold 3 and over the months, I have come to appreciate it even more. I use the big screen for multitasking, reading e-books, and long-duration videos. Testing and short emails on the outer screen isn't bad. Cameras are good enough for me. Can't wait till the Z-Fokd 5
Same for me! Love the Z Fold 3.
Same here, love my fold 4 but can't wait to see what they do with 5
I was honestly so underwhelmed with my fold 4 I just traded it for the s23 ultra. It's just me but a heavy mini phone or small tablet never met my needs. The s23 is lighter than the Fold 4 and has a wider screen (in landscape). Really glad I did this.
S23u is damn heavy too.
@@fantasytky28 thanx to people like you samsung will put smaller battery and average cameras.. oh and don't forget the ones that ask for an in built spen
@@fantasytky28 more like damn light, when I picked it up, it felt lighter than my Iphone 12 Pro. I was afraid they were scamming me with it costing $1,600. But aye I can confirm it's Alluminum and not hinged with double the glass and components.
@@Tyomni_Ritsar both heavy as hell lol.
It's just that you are too used to this heavy phone.
@@EllaNonimato smaller battery? What a joke, Xperia 1v of 187g have 5000mah.
Smaller battery? Do the job to optimise the component and weight instead of putting everying in causing it goes over 200g like a brick
I'm just adding my two cents. I've had the note twenty ultra for quite some time now. It was very disappointing that they got rid of the name. Ultimately, to create 3 newer versions that pretty much were identical to the Note. My main complaint each year that passed was the phone remained the exact same size. Everything else was simply media talking about what it can do versus what people will actually do. Kind of funny how no one ever mentions the fact that many people actually wear glasses. So at the end of the day, no matter how much you tell me there's ultimate clarity on the screen and now you can see mars, well guess what. You still wound up with another note twenty ultra.
I myself pulled the trigger on the Z4 because I had discovered that this phone finally had what I always wanted, a speaker that matched the speaker on the opposite side to equally be the same sound quality. There is nothing worse than trying to squeeze sound out of the screen edge, ridiculous. I myself find the full screen spectacular when it comes to watching individuals or automobiles. Sometimes it's just better to see the actual subject at hand versus a lot of extra nonsense on the side. And no, don't convince yourself that cinematic entertainment would or will ever be recorded in such an aspect ratio. Even with bars top and bottom, I still tend to see movies on a larger screen than I did on my Note 20 Ultra. Just as you watch this review as to what you should choose, the images are spectacular on a full screen. Again no need of seeing nonsense on the side of the image. If you're into watching 4x4 vehicles rock crawling this also has spectacular footage on a full screen.
Well, so much for my 2 cents. I hope this helps someone decide to make a move to something NEW. I definitely am not disappointed.
PS If you're a savage this phone is not for you😉
Take care! 🙋♂️
This is the best comparison video between these two phones, period(well, exclamation mark, technically)!
Thanks a lot. I appreciate it.
I traded my fold 4 for the ultra. I loved the fold 4. But I am over the opening factor. I feel awkward with it. And not a fan of the cameras. Being a note fan, I feel at home with the ultra. However.... I can guarantee I'll be trading the ultra for the fold 5! 🤦♀️
My ZFold3 Is Never Closed Weather Charging Or Otherwise
i take it you changed your mind?
8 month z fold 4 user here. The old "candy bar" style of phone is limiting and pretty much maxed out on what you get. Media content, games, I could go on have made it a dope experience on the Fold 4. People have noticed it and asked me about it and are surprised every time😅. I let them hold it and everything. It's different when you hold it and open your favorite app vs watching a vid. I was worried about then inside display cause I'm use to glass but it's been solid since. And that sound when you close the phone... mhmmm😂
Z fold 4 team
The F4 is a tale of 2 aspect ratios. The outer screen is too narrow for some websites, asked the inner screen has similar issues. I've had apps that have buttons that I can't hit because they're covered up by other things on the same app.
Bring user of both z fold 4 & s22 ultra, I lean more towards the fold. I use the ultra for my gps, & fold for tablet replacement.
I got a 513 GB z fold 4 for $570 on Black Friday on Amazon.
Love watching content on the larger interior screen and I love the wow factor.
Open up the interior display and everyone is blown away.
You get used to the smaller front display and extra weight, but the inside display is a game changer.
At the end of the day it can work as a phone and get messages, but nothing beats watching media on the Z Fold 4!
Whichever you choose is fine but I cant go back to a candybar phone at least for now!
Still happy with it? Can get it renewed mint condition 470$ where I live now.. So tempted.
Z fold (main phone) + cheap Iphone (side kick)= best setup
Iphone cheap model (iphone 14, 14 plus) is a rob. I ended up paying a little bit more to buy pro model as a side kick phone.
But if you already have a tablet, or prefer the larger screen of a tablet, the S23U makes more sense.
Hello, buddy! Excellent comparison test! 3 days ago I bought Fold4, even though I'm a man from poor Serbia and I've been waiting for s22 Ultra since 15 months ago and they cheated me on some shopping website and didn't pay me a new Huawei P50Pro that I need to exchange for S22Ultra. Of course, that's why I've been dreaming about the S22 since last year, not the S23, which is much, much better, because we in Europe get Exynos chips up to the S22 series. And all this in a really poor country, but I'm a fanatic for technology, computers, and especially mobile phones. And when I finally waited for one of my contracts with the operator to expire and I got the opportunity to buy a new phone, (FINALLY!!!) they didn't have the S23 Ultra on the shelves right now, and I'm a fanatic and I couldn't wait, so I didn't think twice -bought Fold4. And...my friend, I regret it for 2-3 days! Mostly because of the price difference, (because my salary is 500€ per month anyway🙄😒🤑) and for me it is too much expenditure in both cases. I should have been normal to buy some ok Xiaomi and that's it.. That's it for us Serbs! You have both, probably some Iphone 14, besides them, but I'm not envious! Not at all! I just want to explain to you in detail how wrong I was in those 2-3 days that I repented and wanted the S23 Ultra after an hour from of purchases. Mistake, mate, huge mistake! If I had bought the S23 Ultra, and given that I've had the Note 10+ for 3.5 years by now, I would have gotten a big upgrade, but not even 20% of the joy that started to overtake me when I realized after a few days just what the Fold can do and how much more interesting it is! The S23U is an upgraded form of the Note 10+, right? The Note ran on Android 12 with ONE UI4.1 and has 12GB of ram, a 60Hz display, but I mean there's no way I'd was so happy (very quickly) with the new S23U. because everything is a little better than 3-4 years ago. Even in terms of specifications, cameras, the Fold is a worse choice, and more expensive, and I say it again: FOLD, FOLD and FOLD. At least when it comes to us, mesmerized by phones and if the choice is between the S23U. and Fold 4! You said it yourself nicely: we walk on the edge of technological standards in any case. And we, who especially love it, have nothing to think about. We're moving forward, Fold is a revolution and it's true! Greetings and I just subscribed to your channel ;-) Sorry for being so verbose, I'm a professor and I always explain like that, hehe....
Traded in my Z Fold 3 for an s23 Ultra. Had a bad experience with the inside screen lifting in the middle. Moral of the story, less moving parts is better. Fold's durability quite isn't quite there yet. Not to mention better camera and battery life.
The issue that I have had with my foldable 1. You have to open it to be truly useful. 2. The Spen on the foldable, is basic 3. There is no easy solution to store the Spen, resulting in a very bulky phone for your pocket. 4. Screens are not meant to fold. 5. Hinge is another point of failure. Traded in the unit for the ultra and have not looked back ever since. Just works no fuss
Lol. Some pretty senseless complaining here. "foldables are useless you open them" yes... That's the point. Also useless if you don't then phone screens on, FYI.
Sold my S22 Ultra and bought a second hand Fold 4. Glad I did - I'd way rather play mobile games on this thing than a small candy bar style phone. I don't miss the 10x zoom as of yet as I barely have any use for it. Same with the s pen. If you trade your Fold I for the s23 you'll miss it after a month
This is one of your videos I've really enjoyed because you displayed the phones in review unlike other videos where you just kept talking and flashed the device in review every once in a while. Keep up with your honest reviews bro

Good job on reviewing these phones. I need a new one and I'm thinking about getting the S23 Ultra.
Thanks. Glad I can help. Thanks for watching! The ultra is a fantastic phone.
Great video. I don't think I could ever part with my Z Fold 4 as I am far too productive with this device. After the trade of my Note 20 Ultra and Sammy $300, I paid a whopping $600 for my Fold, so cost wasn't an issue. The crease is 100% not an issue, batter has been good for such an enormous phone. I couldn't be more pleased with this device, YES, I would like the outside screen a little wider however it's still not a deal breaker for me. Thanks again for the great video.
Well, it is somewhat water resistant, so I'd think that that would also mean that it's batter resistant.
Z fold 4 is just unbeatable. I was considering trading it for s23 ultra but no one has been able to convince me of how it's any better this far.
Its better if you don't need a tablet size phone. Many folks just don't need that real estate and just do basic things. For them the ultra is better. But if you do work on the phone the fold is definitely better. Even for just media content it's significantly larger
did you watch the video...
@@TheProtagonistDies yep and I still don't see how it's any better.aybe the camera, bugs that it. I'm not a selfie junkie or a photographer, so that's not important to me.
@@xShinobiXx I agree. It's super convenient for me to email and read reports on my Fold. I tried the s23 for 2 weeks and returned it. Just doesn't feel the same to me.
@@therevelator7626 ya in feeling the same. Using the s23 ultra now. And have about 5 days to return it. That's what I think I'll do. For one it's too large I find on the go. It requires two hands most of the times unless it's just scrolling. And the screen real estate for most things feels just like a regular phone. Split screen is too small for me and it's the main reason I barely used it. But the fold changes all that. Split screen is actually really good. And indeed I agree about text. Anything with text. Pdf files. Books. Comics. Emails. Twitter. RUclips. All are so much better on the fold it's not even close
However I do enjoy the higher res screen on the ultra. That part is nice
I am trading in my fold 4 tomorrow for the s23 Ultra after only having it for 3 months, I just couldn't get used to using such a tiny screen on the outside which i found i used 90% of the time. The biggest factor is also the camera is NO WAY as good even as my old note 20 ultra, with not nearly enough zoom on it. Plus the phone is heavy, so difficult to go running with. I think if they bought one out with the same size as the Ulta with built in style and same camera specs i might think about going back, but at the moment I cant wait to swap it.
I traded my fold 3 and haven't looked back. The s23 is so much faster and lighter, and this camera and battery is amazing!
Gave up my z fold 3 and recently purchased s 23 ultra. Love both phones but I think will stick with s 23 ultra for now. Is great candybar phone !
as an construction site manager i use the s23u just switched from s21u to the 23 and i works just perfect the s pen and the beter baterij life is a game changer
I got the base s23 mainly because I've the fold 4 and wanted a smaller device. The cameras that are on the ultra will for sure be coming to the fold 5 so I personally can wait it out. The cameras on the fold 4 are solid and do the job so to me, it's not worth downgrading to the Ultra from the Fold. The fold offers way more flexibility.
they are saying that they definitely not coming to the fold 5.

Great vid man I use the 23 ultra and my 14 pro max
Nice collection!
There is no crease on the s23..wow👏
When I had to make that decision I chose the Fold 4. And even though I love it, the cameras are VERY underwhelming. I love the screen size, but I may have some regrets.
Super late, but as a guy with not so big hands, the fold 4 is a life saver in its base form for how thin it is. I just like the versatility of being comfortable in its bar mode, and being able to go tablet mode when i want to set it down to do stuff.
Note got discontinued most people went to the fold 4. Now it's back, most people wants to go back. I'm in love with the fold 4. Can't ever go back lol
I have a fold 4. I think the fold 4 has too many problems with the hinge having problems later down the line. I think the ultra will just last you WAY longer which just gives you more value. Don't get me wrong the 4 is cool and all but the hinge problems is SOOOOO annoying. I think something else that is extremely annoying with my fold 4 is using the normal screen when not unfolded. Typing on it is so annoying and I also feel like its kinda awkward to hold in tablet mode. Idk I just feel like the ultra feels more natural and ur only missing .8 inches of screen is that REALLY that big of a difference?
I'll wait for the fold 5
Put a bigger battery in the fold even if it gets a bit thicker
Put a better camera in the fold
Only 2 issues with the fold really battery life and cameras
When is it coming out.
@fola baby August, hopefully I just got the s23 ultra today. It's going back. it's not for me. I could never go back to a slab phone
I don't know if I choose go for the z fold 4.. am so confused
I've got the fold 3. Love it for multitasking. Loved it Till the inner screen cracked down the middle.. Had it for 11 months. Sent it in got it repaired. Then 3 months later, inner Screen is cracking again. I'am a heavy user, so I think with the opening and Closing too the inner screen and other factors. This phone has failed for me... Plus considering, the. Cost of the fold 3 new w/ tax. I paid 2,200. When I bought it. But now, with the issues of the fold series at the moment. I will. Wait for future models. I've got an S 23 Ultra, 512 on the way.
Additional: You can use the S Pen Pro on the S23 Ultra. It has a switch to choose between a foldable and a candy bar phone (essentially locks the retractable nib which is only needed to protect the UTG of the fold
Get the silicone case for s23 ultra, really nice in the hands. The cream color looks nice
Due for an upgrade next month and really torn over the fold 4. Use my phone often and im concerned with the issue of the screen crease lasting for 2 to 3 years. Im using an s20 fe currently. Have to say the s range has served me well...but that fold looks so cool.
I have the tab S8 ultra so for me I don't need a foldable phone, but good phone tho looks cool 😎
Had the fold 4, sold it and bought the ultra.
You’re happy with your decision?
@TechOdyssey Yes, I love the ultra far more than the fold. The fold is cool though.
1799 is super crazy for foldable. I understand it's an east products at they probably no that they won't sell as much so that's why it's super expensive. But still if it was a little bit cheaper I promise there'll be more people interested in it
Is it worth it to trade in my Fold 4 for the s23 ultra?

it is soooo expensive like 2000$ dor s23u and 2000$ dor s8u
But if you buy z fold you will pay 1999$ for both
@@yournamegg4988where did you get these prices bro
Went from Note 10 to fold 2 then to 22 ultra then fold 3 then to 23 ultra ..... LOL love both phones but now there's just something about this new 23 ultra LOVe it . Waiting for a Fold with built in s pen great battery life and good cameras , until then I'll hold on to my new 23 ultra
Z fold 4 is my choice. Its a nice change of pace from the candy bar style phone. Its better to me, than the razr or z flip. If you love media and movies this z fold is awesome. Its my phone/tablet/small tv.
I have a flip 4 and I'm deciding if I should go to the s23 ultra. Kind of tired of the skinny screen and cut off content along with the horrible camera
How the s23 when ps gaming?
If the Ultra just had the fingerprint reader on the back or the side button, it snap it up immediately. I'm currently hunting for a new phone and I 100% hate and will not get an underscreen front fingerprint reader. I may got flip or fold just to have that fingerprint reader on the side.
Definitely go with the s23 ultra if you are a no bs shopper with a little extra cash. By the time you upgrade in a few years, the fold should be mature enough to buy with confidence.
Good stuff sir! Both great phones I just wish the z fold 4 had the camera the S23 does
Thanks again for the video
Note 10 to zfold2 then zfold3. Always having to take extra care of folding screen. Time to change to s23 ultra. Having a tablet and 2 in 1 laptop my phone needs have changed. Looking forward to S23 Ultra. Folds are great devices. Just not used much other than just a phone and streaming music.
Same backstory. I have the zfold 3 right now after beint through the note series ever since. Im so tempted to go back to s23u
Hi
Can you share some news about the OnePlus 11 Upgrade Offer?
16GM/256GB for $699.00
Thanks 👍🏾
Speaker's are definitely better on the fold 4
I do not understand why so many people complain about the "narrow" display. It is so convenient to hold the phone and when you need a bigger screen than just unfold it. But you have to be a finger gymnast athlete for just to hold securely wide screen of Ultra.
Samsung should make the fold front screen as wide as the S23 or 23 plus..
I asked you this exact question a day ago so thanks for making this vid. great in depth comparison and I have decided to keep my fold 4 after all!!👍
Glad I could help.
The fold 4 is (in my opinion) allot better for gaming than the ultra since sometimes I play Xbox on the Go a bigger screen is perfect than a small screen and not only that it’s easier to read books/mangas/LNs unless you want to basically have a iPhone that’s android the ultra is for you but fold is allot more flexible. I say FOLD 4 Is best for CASUAL Phone users who aren’t on their phone constantly
My z fold 4 won't fold flat is that how it was made or did it become like that because of age I had mine since last October
Much appreciated contents.......
You’re welcome
Does the Z Fold 4 have the 'hide camera cutout' feature for the under display camera? I don't mean filling it with black, I mean hiding it into the notification bar when full screening an app (exactly like S23).
I tried the Z Fold 4 in a store. While the under display camera is less visible now, it still annoys me when watching a video. Honestly, I'd rather just have a bezel.
So that is your daily driver. Can you please do a video on what it’s like to switch out of the Apple ecosystem into Samsung’s I’m seriously considering it bro.
How much is the s23 ultra?
Got the fold 4 6 days ago its going back tom .I'm getting the s23
How come?
@@TechOdyssey as a note user since the 2 ,the z fold 4 is a nice phone , for the price point and memory in the S23 ultra I believe it's a better fit. Also ,I am seeing so many bad things happening with the screen ,that truthfully I don't want to deal with. 😫
@TechOdyssey to bulky ,screen issues from people I have talked to ,price point is to high for what you get. At the store today a rep was saying samsung was just paying off peoples devices that had issues, that right there made me know getting rid of it was a smart thing .
I had 2 fold 3s Crack in the crease after only 6 months. Great concept but the material durability is not there
Adam, can you make a video about ordering carrier phone from Samsung site ... I wanted att but their monthly plan sucks... Trade in value is nice, but how much bill credit they give is nullified by the fact, that for 36 months, they force you to pay $80 (with autopay) which is a ripoff in my opinion. I know you had Tmobile, and you were frustrated by their magenta max. So, just wanted to know your thoughts on carrier deals, are there any better deals ? I'm keeping the s22 ultra for now. Since att allows any Samsung phone to trade. I was gonna buy a used S8.
Got the S23 ultra from Samsung £31 a month, Tesco contract £11 a month bargain.
I know there has to be someone out there like me that just wants a wider s23 ultra version. I don't need a fold. LONG time ago near the beginning of the NOTE series they had a phablet design which I would have immediately snatched. It was wider than anything now and I would have bought it but for some reason it had no where near the performance of the Galaxy S and Note series.
I still want it. Everyone, especially Apple users, would make fun of me for wanting it and thought my giant Note 1 was way too big. But guess what? Now they all have giant phones too. I remember how bashfully Apple started trending bigger acting like they weren't wrong all along.
Agreed. The screen size isn't really conducive to working well with the s pen. It's much to tall and narrow. The Ultra should be a productivity phone similar to the Fold. But the screen ratio works against that. The Pro Max screen sizes are much better imho.
Are they shipping it with snapdragon 8 gen2 in the uk and Europe now though or do we still get the shitty EXYNOS version
I went back from the Fold 4 to the 1TB S23 Ultra. I work many times in a Fan with gloves on. I just cannot type with the gloves on the small screen of the Fold 4. I am scared of dropping the phone if I use the big screen.
Many times the tough on the big screen did not work and I used to restart on a daily basis. I also missed the Bluetooth capability of the S Pen
My mom just bought me the S23 Ultra to replace my S10 plus. She even bought the 1TB.
Oh wow. That's awesome. #MomOfTheYear
