    Hi everybody,
I' ve bought myself a pair earlier this year for 60 euros, as my lovely kef q700's were blown by my sons and friends beer eevening......
I realy needed asap some new speakers, so these mb quarts were sold nereby my place for 60 euros.
Well, i was pleased by their performance. After searching tonsome more info i was aware that they could sound even better.
So went for some new (first some cheap ones) capasitors.
Well, thats a MASSIVE improvement. So more brightness and open stage, the bass isnt that huge anymore, but more tightly.
These capasitors costs about 30 euros, and give a awesome improvement . I like them even more then my previous kef's 👍😀

It is not nice when the seller does not know if the tweeters are working or dented. Sometimes there is no bad intend many people think if there comes sound out the loudspeakers everything is working... A good discount is very reasonable if units are not working or dented.

They sound like a lot of mid bassey into the mid range a lot and the highs are not over powering needs more low end they needed to put a bigger woofer in the bottom or they should have added a 3rd speaker way in the bottom there where the bottom is towards the floor where theres an empty space then you got a heck of a sound..but the way they are designed not good for low end responses in music there very good for voice or lation music that piano music sounds very very good on them..all in all there not too bad but i prefer a speaker that hits that low and up in the real high frequency..

Yes rubber rings gives the speaker better stability and tighter sound i prefer the rubber also especially in my car i have all runber ring speakers in my car..way better sound.

I am not sure if rubber makes a better sound, many vintage kef's have foam but sound perfect. I only hate the extra cost once they are rotten

Foam surrounds are lighter and usually more flexible.

@@vintagestereo yes rubber keeps the cone in position better I don't know how else to describe it to u but foam makes a cone flex side to side and up an down more tho..but yes some woofers with foam can sound better sometimes not all the time it depends on the cone..but rubber seems to hold up better but they can tare over time rubber to me seems to keep the cone more flat and not go out of round keeps the sound to a more stiffer sounding more punch.. when played harder I like rubber much better

@@RoderikvanReekum that's right Roderikvanreekum it makes the cone lighter and can also cause distortion because of the flexibility of the surround and cone..
