I work in customer service so I'm on the phone for 8 hours a day. These exercises help so much. I do them 30 minutes before I turn my phone on, during each 15 min break and 10 minutes before coming off of lunch break. They make a real difference in my voice. I don't sound tired and worn down by 5pm. Thank you! 💜
Chile i was literally thinking this as I began to listen to the video, looked down and saw ur comment lol I’ve been doing the same and it helps sooo much when talking to ppl all day
Hi Lisa. You are so good. So bubbly joyful and easy-going teacher unlike other vocal teacher that I went to. I sang in the choir. Have a nice day. You are truly great and so joyful to be with.
Love these warm-ups! Im a yoga, breathwork, and meditation teacher that talks a lot and a sound healer using my vocals in sessions and this is really helping expand my range, pitch, tone and ability to hold notes longer. Thank you! 🥰
I’ve been trying to improve my voice as I want to record some songs I’ve written, and haven’t sung properly for about 10 years. These exercises are perfect, and I’ve seen such an improvement! Thank you 💃☺️
my favorite warm up exercise is for the lower range. it is a very easy but beautiful and musical descending line on the words "how low, how low can you go"... a half step lower each round.
You are adorable 🤗 I love your warm ups when you said you felt silly I was like it's okay girl I'm right here with ya! Thank you so much for what you do and share for us!
I'm a complete beginner at the piano but I want to practice this while I play the piano myself. Can you mention what scales you are playing on the piano for each of the exercises (Especially the NNN and VVV)?
Lisa, thank you for your cheerful lessons, can I ask, can you explain/note out the scale exercises for the piano, ie you play a scale then, to move up, you play a chord, then that scale and so on, ps I'm a senior, (74) and the "bubble" was a challenge as I wear dentures! but I stuck at it, and now exercise before each practice, you're right it IS fun!
I've been a folk singer for years, have recently started doing classical choral material, and so I've come to appreciate the importance of warming up. I wonder what are some of the other basics of daily practice?
Hi Lisa..... which warm up/s would you recommend to do just before we sing? I need that for the Sunday cramming before I run to church to serve the Lord. Thank you in advance....... 🙏
Thank you. Would be helpful to show the scales you are playing in the comments. Then we can recreate them on the piano. At this point, the ear is still developing. Does mean I failed my first singing lesson?😁
You did not fail at all! Keep listening and practicing along with the lesson :) In the Singeo Method we will have downloadable practice routines as well as a practice feature to help you along! - Lisa
Thanks so much! I love having some simple, goto exercises. It gives me so much confidence that this isn’t rocket science or some “secret skill” that you have to be born with. Quick question: Are these warmups or are they vocal exercises? I always get really confused by the terminology. Warmups seem like those things you’re supposed to do before you play sports but don’t actually affect your performance (besides first 5 minutes). Are these the exercises I should do before practicing, or the core exercises that will help me improve, or both?
Hey! They are kind of both! Warm ups can be multipurpose! You do want to warm up with a gentle exercise BEFORE you start really working your voice or singing a song. If you use these exercises before you sing songs or do vocal work you will likely notice a difference in the ease with which you sing, you will be more likely to avoid hurting your voice and you may notice that you have better endurance as well!!
These should really help with my next step into my vocals in all ways, shapes, and forms. I just have one question. Should I ever gargle or spit saliva or water at any time? Thank you in advance!
I was doing the puffy cheek one at my dog and she had zoomies because I was blowing air at her, so that’s how I checked if enough air was coming out, personally 💀
Hi Lisa. I have to admit, I don't do warmups. I do perform at private jams but just can't see myself doing warmups every day. Would it still be ok to do the exercises say on my WAY to a jam in the privacy of my vehicle or even at home prior to leaving?
Teeth are apart slightly and lips are loosely pursed. The most important thing is to keep your face relaxed... it’s very hard to do with any tension in your face. Smiling or laughing makes it very tough, which makes it extra hard because it’s tough not to giggle while doing this silly, but useful exercise. 😆 Don’t give up.... you will absolutely get it. Pretend your blowing bubbles in the bath like a kid would.
For the bubbles where is the tongue? One way I can do them is by quickly rolling my tongue in addition to lips buzzing, is this OK, or does the tongue stay stationary, and just lips buzz?
I keep trying, but I'm having trouble creating the bubble and even when I can get it started, I cannot seem to keep a sustained "bubble"? Frustrating! Any suggestions?

My Favorite is the Straw. Thank you for these warms up. I could feel a difference in my voice.
This is really nice! I do this once a day and notice a good difference in my singing! And I sing A LOT

You can always do the bubble, the bubble is a very good warm to warm up your voice, also some sirens help
Although unusual all these exercises are great
Superb lesson! Love it ❤️ Lisa! - Kristeta
Kristeta!!!!! I"m soooo glad you liked the lesson :) -Lisa
Great exercises, Thank you Lisa 😎🎤🎶
I am very happy with your content.
Exercise starts at 0:40
thank you!
I was recently backstage before the headliner, multiple top 40 hits, went on. The lead singer was doing the bubble while waiting to take the stage.
My favorite vocal warmup Do Ray Me Fa So Lo Ti Do, or LA LA La😊
Couldn’t do the bubble but had a much needed laugh 😂. Thank you 😊
Hahaha it sure is a wild experience ;) Keep trying!
Hold your fingers one on each side of your lips should do the trick
@@JohnSmithh644 I can do it using fingers either side of lips 😃 Thank you

Listen to " Shivers" by Ed Sheeran. I didn't make it in Singeo in time but this is such a cool song.
Thanks so much! I love having some simple, goto exercises. It gives me so much confidence that this isn’t rocket science or some “secret skill” that you have to be born with.

Good change in vocal.
You have some good vocal warmup s.
Great exercises! What scale are you playing and what numbers/positions of notes ?
Hey! I did a few scales there! An arpeggio, a 5 note scale and an arpeggio with a dominant 7th on the way down :)
Dread to think what my neighbours think this morning 😂😂😂
It is the gift of entertainment ;) -Lisa
These should really help with my next step into my vocals in all ways, shapes, and forms. I just have one question. Should I ever gargle or spit saliva or water at any time? Thank you in advance!
I don't think thats needed! Just stay hydrated and you are good to go!
I'm still trying to do the bubble thing without giggling !!!!
I was doing the puffy cheek one at my dog and she had zoomies because I was blowing air at her, so that’s how I checked if enough air was coming out, personally 💀
Do I have to blow as much air as I can with the straw exercise or should I control the air flow as much as possible?
If I make this my vocal practice every day, would this improve my singing voice?
YES
I'm not feeling ridiculous 😕 I feel fun like kid playing and discovering his Voice 😮😅🎉
Hi Lisa. I have to admit, I don't do warmups. I do perform at private jams but just can't see myself doing warmups every day. Would it still be ok to do the exercises say on my WAY to a jam in the privacy of my vehicle or even at home prior to leaving?
Yes , have to much warm up in you tube …
Hello would purchasing a breathe voice would that be a good purchase for strenghten your voice
In chorus class at school, for our vocal warm up, we always said "Momma made me mash my m&ms."
I like the purple and white dot scale marks better the non descript purple bar
I have a question: when you do the bubble, do/are your teeth stay together or are they apart?
Teeth are apart slightly and lips are loosely pursed. The most important thing is to keep your face relaxed... it’s very hard to do with any tension in your face. Smiling or laughing makes it very tough, which makes it extra hard because it’s tough not to giggle while doing this silly, but useful exercise. 😆

@@SingeoOfficial Thank you so much!
I can keep the air flow, but my lips often sick and don't bubble anymore, is this because of tension in my face?
what are the notes for the NNNN scale`? :) What a nice warm up! Thank you!
That is what I call the "long scale" It is an arpeggio going up and then a dominant 7th going down!
I don’t know the back down notes on the piano

How do i stop singing with my throat?

the bubble
Can you find someone to sing a John Fogerty song? Like Keep on Chooglin, his songs are hard to sing due to how intense his voice is.
Thats a great artist to dive into! I'll put this on my list :)
Link to Facebook is broken…
Thanks, Jennifer! All fixed up. :)
❤
Is it good for your voice if you gargle everyday with warm water and salt??
I’m feeling dizzy. (Not kidding)
Good. It means that you are begginer and that you did it correctly
@@jelenasekulic1539 thank you!
the Nnnn exercise was a bit too fast for me to hit the notes cleanly

Hi
Please don't do the bubble at the beginning because it's really hard for me if I don't do other warm-ups first
A good warmup but the cutesy stuff just makes me cringe.
