One very important thing to note is that Voodoo(especially) and Black Messiah gets better for every listen. Voodoo was "a good album" first time I heard it, now almost a year later, I would call it a freaking masterpiece. It's so much details to comprehend completely, and you can't enjoy the albums with some iPhone headphones, you need to hear the music as it was supposed to sound like when D' Angelo made them!
So I followed your advice like 6 years ago and listened to Voodoo after watching this video and man... did that album change my fuckin' life. What a complete masterpiece of an album. Thanks Quint!
