Fantastic! Best series ever and this episode was a unique and timeless ending, still talked about all these decades later. Very underrated when first screened but now, thankfully, receiving the admiration and recognition it deserves 👍
This played in my head during the end of the last day of school this year. The Prisoner actually had an influence on my attitude towards School itself... That wasn't always a good thing, lol.
FINALLY found this! There's times this damn music gets stuck in my head and though I know it's from the end of the Prisoner, I've never found it on it's own! About damn time I get to hear it on it's own.
@DoctorCooper293 Yes I have to agree! I done the same thing after every school year ends. It's a sense of freedom on a nice spring day when school lets out for the year.
@DoctorCooper Same here with PrimarySchool years ago then after getting home the theme tune played cus The Prisoner was repeating again! Its Ironic cus i hadnt escaped Teachers...Oh and i wore the no.6 suit Delxue to Prom with a bowlerhat and a bowtie!LOL!Oh and the music in vid is called Rag March by Jack Arel
Brilliant. The music throughout this whole series was wonderful, and played an important part in its legacy.

A village indeed....
It's played an important role in my life too. And now we see it's coming true. Was McGoohan a profit? May he rest in peace.
We’re all in the village now

Be seeing you!

Insanely catchy. I could listen to an hour of this.
For all those asking, this is apparently "Rag March" by J. Arel and C. Petit. Though it sounds like Grainer it's actually library music.
do you have any link ?
Return of number 2, aka September Ballad.
The perfect theme for one's sense of accomplishment! Many thanks to Ron Grainer for composing this & for you sharing it with us!
Be Seeing You...
Not a Ron Grainer composition or performance. Jack Arel and Jean Claude Petit composed it for the Chappell library in France.
@@losgrindos Really? Thanks for the clarification. 😁
God I love this song so much!!
Been searching for this one, literally for years. Thanks!!!
I havnt heard this for years. I loved it 40 years ago and i love it now.
Also used for incidental music on top BBC Cymru Friday afternoon shows presented by Tudur Owen in 2019
I never thought he would get out. I was so glad he did !!
... But did he ?
You never know who's a guard or prisoner, just like life now.. We certainly haven't left the village.
Or did he?
(Rag March) French composer, Written by Jack Arel and Jean-Claude Petit
You legend! I've had a hankering to hear this for the past few weeks. Thanks for posting.

Well done, fantastic, knew it would be put somewhere1
It's the post-modern 'Pomp And Circumstance'! Who wrote this? If it's Albert Elms', why didn't it make the exhaustive 3-disc soundtrack set?

The Village People ... All of us
This music has a similar vibe to the song The Thoughts of Emerlist Davjack by The Nice which was released in 1967.
Thank you.
Great cut, thanks for posting.
