That was one of the most well documented, detailed and amazing journeys ever. Sincerely appreciate you taking us along for the ride. My heart was pounding watching this entire event. Usually I’ll fast forward but I didn’t. Every minute was watched in pure adrenaline rush shock. Thank you!
What a great video mate! Your boy looked like a professional javelin thrower tagging that tuna from about 30 feet away bro! 26:16 Those hard days fishing paid off! Love to see you in the states and elsewhere experiencing new fishing adventures!
I always preferred to fish for brim, bass, sheepshead, crooker, and catfish. Then again I was raised in the south about 60 miles from Gulf Shores, Al. and about 50 miles from Mobile Bay. There's tons of great fishing down there. I use to drive tractor-trailer over the road and one of the paper mills we picked up from was right on Claybourne Lock and Dam. I don't know if it's true or not but I've spoken to some of the Army Corp of Engineers and have been told that there's catfish at the bottom of the dam that's about the same size as a school bus. Given that the dam has been there for "I don't know how many years" and that there's things in the water we still don't know about, I'm not going to doubt it. I enjoyed the video guys!!! Next time ya go think of all of us that (because of some reason or another) can't get out and enjoy adventures like these. I ask that you enjoy them for us. OK now, Y'all go rip some fish lips!!!
Looks like an epic adventure, Jonny; that was an enormous fish! Talk about teamwork is right. I've never seen anything like it. I don't know why, but I didn't realize that tunas don't have scales. They are amazing creatures and it was cool to see how it all went down, so thanks for sharing this trip with us. Welcome to North America. I'm not sure if you are still here or not, but I hope you got away from the coast and didn't experience any of the nasty weather from the outer edge of Dorian. Our Maritime provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island) got hit but nothing like the Bahamas. My heart goes out to anyone affected by it. Heather🇨🇦
Awesome video Brooksy! Even though I do not really like the idea of taking huge fish for commercial purposes, this flick showed the amount of passion, teamwork and excitement involved in harvesting this precious ressource! I'm glad the shark came free though 😄
Brooksie. You were great in the wheel of that boat. That was cool to see and hear your reaction to that whale. And that thresher getting away was great.
Oh my God mate you are awesome! I believe I mentioned it on another video posting of yours but if you ever want to come to the US and do some international fishing come to Florida in September and I could even put you up at my house if you want I live in St Petersburg but on the east coast of Florida is one of the best mullet runs in the state and chasing 100 lb + Tarpon from the beach is insane.
Stuff me that’s a horse! What an epic experience Brooksy! Even though I knew from the thumby that got him in the end I was still super stressed the whole fight haha, how good.
Really intense video Jonny. Glad you showed the day by day updates. It really brought home the feeling of final day crunch time complete with ominous clouds... switch over to live bait... really feeling the gut tugging Hemingway-esque desperation kicking in. Just waiting for the great white shark attack but thankfully made it home safely for the big payday. Best sport in the world!
BROOKSY epic battle bro!!!! Is Matt a Viking? He throws a spear/harpoon like one! Such a fantastic video, you are smashing it!! As always thank you for all the hard work.
That was amazing brooksy. Up there with Timmy turtle's marlin. What a fish. I've read stories about them in magazines, but I've never seen the pressure, excitement and relief captured so well. Awesome team effort. Hoping this goes viral for you, this video deserves it.
Please i know nothing about salt water fishing where in england should i go for tuna it doesn’t matter bluefin yellowfin just a tuna I appreciate your help!!!!
It's weird seeing videos like this in my back yard. Glad to see you didnt hack off randy's bouy. No tuna in provincetown is complete without Wayne Martin at the dock!
What?? Brooksy is suddenly in my backyard drinking 'gansett beer and (bad) Cumby's coffee! Worlds colliding! If possible Brooksy, have someone take you to the CC Canal. It's really something and you'll meet some of the best Massholes.
How's the fishing in Florida Brooksy? The Mullet Run is happening on the east coast now and its a great time to be down. Hopefully this wind lets up for Ocean fishing soon, but theres always the ICW.
I was stripper fishing off the coast of seaside NJ, only about a mile out, (I could see the rides). All of a sudden huge tuna started jumping all around us. Don't know what kind they were, but they were HUGE, two hundred pounds, maybe bigger! Never saw anything like it. Didn't even try to cast at them. Yea, I miss my boat sometimes, had many great times at sea.
Lol well of course when you go to a gas station "The coffee in America isn't good". Of course you were being tongue in cheek, but in the Americas we got the OG coffee growers. Beauuutifull fish.

Tunas can grow and grow for their entire life - and are considered a ocean A-pex predator. They are amazing fish.
But they take 15 years to breed. If we kill them before they breed, we kill a whole lot than we know!
there's a big breeding ground off Libya in the med.
You're such an inspiration, Brooksy! So glad that you are back on RUclips! Ya LEGEND! Magnificent! THANK YOU!
What a catch. That's a big tuna. Happy you were able to land one.
Here in Hawaii the yellowfin tuna get pretty big but nothing compare to this monster bluefin..
That was the most intense fish catch I've ever seen and it took three people to do it, awesome Brooksy
That was an epic video mate!

Here from Dearmeat's channel....Great catch!!! Awesome fish! Great job! Redonculous harpoon from that far way!!!
This video should have made you the biggest fishing channel on RUclips. Absolutely mental

We dodged that Dorian Hurricane here in Orlando. Bahamas was not so lucky. Good luck and have fun in the States!
Imagine when you were in the middle of celebrating and a big as shark came and ate it.
Haahahahhahaa
That would be a tragedy
That would have to be a massive shark aye
I saw that on a video on here, but it was a massive marlin. Something even bigger bit it in half.
We use those in South Africa and they work so well
Woaaahhhh.. thats hugeeeeee..... 😱
That’s what she sa- never mind
I was stripper fishing off the coast of seaside NJ, only about a mile out, (I could see the rides). All of a sudden huge tuna started jumping all around us. This fish is actually close to the world record tuna! Only 768 pounds! Great catch :)
World record Bluefin Tuna was 1496 pounds caught off Nova Scotia in 1979.
That dart throw tho hahahahahahahahahahahahah that was awesome
Lol well of course when you go to a gas station "The coffee in America isn't good". Of course you were being tongue in cheek, but in the Americas we got the OG coffee growers.
Beauuutifull fish.
hahahahaha might've been a little harsh on the coffee front
That was insane! That Tuna was massive!
How much did they get for it?
Congrats on an excellent catch!
Wow team work keeps the dream alive.
Glad to see you in the States Brooksy.
Bro the way he switched fingers with that cigarette was so slick at 4:30 😂😂😂
Biiig Cumby’s Run... not America’s finest coffee admittedly! Brooksy in my neighborhood! Skitzy!! Big up!
Visiting your Yankee cousins. Awesome. Gotta get down and see my dream country.
Good to see you use a big game reel on the tuna. I didn't think a spinning reel would cope with tuna of that size.
no chance
No big game reel is shit
Mate aye aye awesome you are one lucky Brooksy frothing for you brother 🤙🤙🤙🤙
what was the payout on the fish in the end? sick vid
