    Hey, thanks for this video. I'm potentially starting at Warwick this year, and was wondering if you could tell me how the social side has generally been for you? Also, what is the stress like in comparison to A level and have you ever wished you'd chosen a different uni? Sorry so many questions!! Anything you can tell me would be appreciated, thank you xox

    • @Mambo5elizabethandolivia
      @Mambo5elizabethandolivia  7 лет назад +1

      Hey! The social side of campus can honestly be a bit difficult at times, as it is a campus uni and to get anywhere such as Leamington or Coventry, you do need to take a bus. But on campus there are places that you can go out to eat, theres an Art Centre that has a student cinema, and activities to do in the Sport Centre such as Rock Climbing. There is also a club on campus and several bars for something to do in the evening. For me, the leap between A Level and Degree was quite big, only due to the amount of independent study you are expected to do, but this would be expected for any university you go to. I am very happy at Warwick and wouldn't have chosen a different university:) don't worry about the questions, keep them coming!! ;)

    Can you please tell me a bit more about the social life there? Is it hard to make friends there who go out? Or are most people shy? Also, I would highly appreciate if you could add on something about Computer science there

    • @Mambo5elizabethandolivia
      @Mambo5elizabethandolivia  6 лет назад

      The social life is good if you make the social life good, there are so many events going on around you on campus, in Leamington and in Coventry, so it’s making the effort to go to them and talk to people :)) there are a variety of students who come to Warwick. Also myself, nor Elizabeth, do computer science so couldn’t really answer any questions there. If you have any specific questions to the course, you may want to contact the uni :)

      Hey! The campus is really beautiful :3
      It really depends on where you want to eat as there are a variety of restaurants on campus, so meals can range from £3 to £20 if you want to eat out. There is also a shop on campus where you can buy sandwiches and other foodie things :))

    This is so weird, do people live there on site then? It's like a summer camp of some sorts in terms of living conditions?
    Here in Ghent we go to campus, but campus only includes the buildings where the classes are and a cafetaria to eat luch. People live in appartments or special student homes in the city itself, so the students just go about their day like a city resident. Is this also a thing in the UK?

    • @Mambo5elizabethandolivia
      @Mambo5elizabethandolivia  6 лет назад

      Hey! Warwick is a campus based university so there are student residencies on-site. First year students are guaranteed a residency on campus, but move to either Leamington, Kenilworth, Coventry or Canley during the following years (these are in the places/cities around the uni). Final year students can also apply to be on campus :)

      @DKZomb0 6 лет назад +1

      Hey, thanks for the instant response! That's interesting to hear, it's a good idea, because that way the new students can become familiar with the 'university way of life' when they start off, and makes it easy to make new friends and such! I was also wondering if you have student clubs in the UK? There are different clubs here, each with their own flag and their own residual bar where they always go

    coming to Warwick this summer. any advice?

    • @Mambo5elizabethandolivia
      @Mambo5elizabethandolivia  8 лет назад +5

      Make the most of this summer, because it will be one of the best ones. Make the most of first term and freshers week, going out wise because it gets slightly more intense during second and third term. Don't bring a whole load of stuff because your rooms cannot accommodate everything you have from home aha. Look forward to it!

    What is the night life like at Warwick?:)

    • @Mambo5elizabethandolivia
      @Mambo5elizabethandolivia  8 лет назад +4

      The nightlife is usually very good, every Wednesday you have a POP! event in the SU and they have other events that go on almost everyday of the week. There is also Coventry and Leamington Spa which have pretty good nights out too, such as Kasbah, Neon and Smack :)

  • @mramazing2256

    How much do each of the sports memberships cost?

    • @Mambo5elizabethandolivia
      @Mambo5elizabethandolivia  6 лет назад

      Hey! They seemed to have changed it from when I was in first year, so you can find all of the information on their website: warwick.ac.uk/services/sport/
      They have either memberships which let you access all the facilities all year, bundles, 30 day passes and also pay as you go, so have a little look to see whatever one suits you!
