How should I detach from this and acquire it at the same time? I'm afraid that my attachment will push it away . So how should a person detach from these kind of very important things of life?
Hey girly! Thank you sm for your question. I totally get the feeling of having a lot of pressure on something so important, and wanting to do your absolute best. First off, there’s nothing wrong with really wanting something-as long as we release our attachment to the outcome. I would say start by focusing/doing everything that IS in your control-(i.e studying, preparing, and knowing that your worth doesn’t come from this exam score). Once you know you’ve done everything you can, then it’s time to let go of the worry. This is where the DEtachment comes in. You can only control your effort, not the result. I try to adopt a “maybe mindset” -- "Maybe I did great, maybe I didn’t, but I know I did everything in my power, so what's the point of stressing now?” Good luck on your exam!! you can't manipulate someone into loving you... and why would you want the love of someone who has no interest in doing right by you and are willing to bring their bad attitude towards you ? life is hard enough without all that... don't take it as a rejection... a rejection from what? from love? it was never love coming from their end, to begin with...
