100% Synthetic lubricants produced by Amsoil is really cheap insurance. From my 1956 Chevrolets (All of them) to our daily drivers, Amsoil keeps them properly lubricated, running cool and well protected. A long time customer since 1989, I became a dealer because my dealer moved south and I haven’t looked back. Confidence is high when Amsoil is on board!
High in the Rockies in Como, Colorado (About 10,000 feet above sea level) there is a private collection of post WWII through the 1960's of hundreds of patina covered, virtually rot free cars and trucks awaiting love from new owners. Amanda's late husband Jim started collecting them from friends and neighbors in the Fairplay, Colorado area at just 14 years old. He even had the for site to group most of them by makes!
Alphabetically he collected Chryslers (MOPAR), DeSoto's, Fords, General Motors in all varieties, Internationals, Nash (American Motors), Studebakers (Trucks and cars) and lets not forget a cluster of VW Beetles.
Amanda knows how Jim loved his collection and she wants them all to go to good homes. Yes, they are ALL For Sale! There's an entrance fee to view the collection in person with a signed liability waiver. If you buy a vehicle you get the entrance fee back.
Enjoy the view and be sure to hit 'Subscribe' to get notices on future episodes. Denny Salvage the Junkyard Chaplain Den567@att.net

Renault Duaphine there too. Those are popular as a cult car today. I had one when I was serving my Apprenticeship almost 50 years ago. I see some really ineresting Fords there like the two door Falcon wagon. And it's such pretty country. At 10,000 feet it's no wonder you were puffing !.

I am glad you are not like some of the other RUclips channels that hold all these yards hostage for a fee to their pocket. You're just like me you want to see them all saved and go to good homes. God willing I'll make it out there soon and perhaps bring a project vehicle home for me and my son. Take care of yourself take more breaks. God bless brother

Great find! Good video content! Thanks for the location information! Just a couple video suggestions: try not to move or pan the camera/phone much when you are zoomed in. Only use the zoom for still video or VERY slow movements left/right/up/down. Don't zoom in on details like hood ornaments, just move the camera closer to the object. Any little movements when zoomed in makes the video VERY bouncy and hard to follow or see those close up details. Good luck and thanks again for passing on the info for this great treasure chest of old iron!

I visited a "vehicle rehabilitation" yard in South Dakota that was very organized.
If you were looking for a particular make and year vehicle, the owner took you to the area where all that particular make and year vehicles were parked, and looking to be adopted. The 57 Chevy's were all together. The 53 Packards were all in another area. This outdoor facility was the most fun place to see every vehicle neatly parked next to each other. Every vehicle interior was accessible where all vehicle doors open wide - all the way. The vehicles were not jammed together where you couldn't open all the doors. I have visited hundreds of junk yards throughout the country, but NEVER saw one this organized and neatly groomed. No high grass or weeds.

Lookup Ike's transmission in Craig Colorado. Ask for Elwood. He has 100s of classics.

That old Chrysler limo with 8 doors looks to me like one of those "airport crew transport" cars. They used cars like this back in the day when you had to walk out to the airliners.

There are so many beautiful cars here and in very good condition. But I live on the other side of the country.. The Imperials are awesome. Just way too many good ones to even comment on.

I was one of Jims Chevy Friends. I traded him many Fords for Chevys. I brought in the 64 Wildcat at the beginning of the video and several other things in this video. Lots of great memories for me here.

The 2 door wagons were totally sweet for street rods. OMG I would really like to see some more rescued. I have too many projects right now. But those cars in Colorado are not that rusty. Perfect weather for storing outside.

The longer the old classics sit in fields like this ,the less chance of someone rescue them and make them to a whole running car again. The guys like my dad's generation nare pass away fast and my generation has many capable men and woman who can rebuild these cars , I'm 51 years old. After my generation the kids , younger people are clueless about these cars and need oldtimers to guide and support them in a serious rebuild frame.of type restoration. Any serious restoration takes experience and it's sad that soon we will be all out of able bodied old timers to rebuild these. The longer the cars sit only means he chances are lower of them being saved and restored . I figure in 25 more years these old cars will be all unwanted and sold for scrap. Soon we have no cars like this. Thanks for sharing the last of the great American classics. This is the end of them

You couldn't be more wrong, lots of the younger generation are interested in classic cars, it's people like you that put them off from wanting too ask for help in restoring one.
what's wrong with getting help from older and more knowledgeable people? Everyone has too learn and start somewhere, you should be ashamed of yourself
