jk J. jk. what they have in common is simply "Everything" They are only different in frequency, the frequencies that make up, in these two cases, only small areas contained within the "Electromagnetic Field" or, as many say, "Spectrum". Light is the "Visible" part of the Electromagnetic field and Radio isn't. Radio waves, being outside of the visible light part of the Electromagnetic spectrum, were postulated about by some very BIG BRAINED mathematicians around the mid 19th century but very many other (smaller brained) scientists were convinced that the radio wave was "nothing more than a to-be-expected side effect suffered by all who entertain their "Overactive Imaginations" long enough to realize them."

@@marcrahn4126 The answers is, "Just like light itself" it can be received just as far as your detecting equipment can look I.E. The Radio Telescope was how we first detected the Big Bang itself and there's nothing much further away than that.
Now, how would one know you were receiving an alien message when there's no way you know how their language is formatted? What appears to you as gobbledy-goop may be just the way language developed on their world. Or, in other words HOW THE HELL WOULD I KNOW???? HEHEHEHE=)

For those that have a computer that cant handle the specs of Space Engine there is a program called Celestia, that does basically the same thing, the official page you can download mods and there is an unofficial 1.7 version.

If this study is right then objects further away expand slower from us than nearby objects. What if good old relativity of spacetime is the culprit? The stuff way out there moves way faster away from us, so it experiences the greatest relativistic effect. The rate of expansion and therefore the Hubble "constant" could be affected by this phenomenon?

was running SETI @ Home, had it under control using 3rd party apps to keep it from frying my CPU, it was working my video card very hard too but wasn't too concerned because of liquid cooling...then came the power failure...by, buy video card (for those that don't know, when the power went out the cooling stopped and the built-up heat from the card working so hard, cooked it...)

After years of watching space documentaries that implicated that a bunch of scientists around Michio Kaku (sorry!) knew everything about cosmology with no further topics worth being discussed, I am happy to see you telling us about a vivid community of enthousiasts struggling for explanations for tons of phenomena with !highly creative approaches.
Which brings me to my question: the two scientific illustrations at 12:36 and 12.46 show the same theory of the expansion of our universe with dramaticaly different angles therefore expansion rates. The second, more familiar to me, suggesting a rather moderate expansion after a overwelming infation while the first quite the other way. Which one is supposed to be more accurate?
