Thank you, that was a gem. Eldery woman used to teach kids the 'Song of the Cross' that have a beautiful melody, some pauses and some sounds made with the throat, that is said to make the plants to grow healthy and tall, and says more or less: Seth went to Paradise and brought 3 seeds of the Tree of Life, when his father Adam died he put the seeds inside Adam's mouth; a sapling from its root was Moses's staf, a branch was Aaron's rod that went far away. David found the root and planted in his garden; the tree was cut by Solomon but wouldn't fit in the Temple; was rejected and thrown into a creek; it rose to the surface for the Queen of Sheba; she recognized and refused to cross it; she asked Soloman tu put in the Temple as a lintel to a door covered with gold; Abijah Soloman's bad son took the gold and buried the tree where the pool of Bethesda was dug: the tree gave power to cure to the water; until the time of the Passion, the beam floated to the surface and was taken to become the wood of the cross of the Redeemer. I vouch for the wonders that the song does to my plants, must be the vibrations. The song is like a beautiful fabric of interwoven stories. Stay safe.

This church is Georgian. For centuries, services were held in Georgian. This monastery was a strong connecting chain between Georgia and Jerusalem. Many holy fathers served in these holy walls, Georgian inscriptions are still preserved on the walls of the church. I hope that this holy temple will soon be returned to Georgia.

I have to comment about the symbolism of the 3 different trees united in one tree: this is obviously a metaphor for the Holy Trinity and in the Christian theology, the 3persons visiting Abraham and Sara were the Holy Trinity and the 3 staffs that became one tree is symbolic for the triune God, 3 persons (Father, Son,Holy Spirit) with their equivalent in the specific trees, but one God In essence, this the one tree. So symbolically and theologically and narratively it fits with the Christian trinitarian theology and dogma about who god is and so the instrument of Christ’s passion and death goes back to the first explicit appearance of the triune God, with the Second person taking upon himself the sins of the world as the ultimate atonement sacrifice, to save humanity and unite humanity with God.
No matter one’s faith, the whole thing is beautiful and poetic, don’t you think?
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to appreciate and enjoy all this.

A good reminder but this metaphor is useless for the present generation who knows logic and The Bible's hermeneutics. In the Bible the term "son" never relates to God (in NT) but only the "father".The term "Trinity" is just a description and not a name (individual or general: the set of individuals) that has a sense only in the context of other parts of a sentence - only Ad 1905,1910, B.Russell, PM/Principia Mathematica; a typical scientific methodology to name something new that was discovered or invented;e.g., if c=a+b and here the symbol "+" has a sense but only in the context of other symbols; in itself it is a nonsense: it does not refer to any number.
