    Lego: James Bond may be to brutal for kids.

    • @Orsan_
      @Orsan_ 5 лет назад +20

      I remember making minifigs that sorta resembled the homemade suit of Spiderman in the first Raimi movie, and then creating levels that exploited the wall climbing and swinging features in the second Indiana Jones game. It wasn't that much of a stretch, the mechanics were pretty similar and had the looks of Spiderman abilities. Of course a lot of imagination had to be put in there, mostly because the swing had to be made thanks to the whip, and the climbing with ladders hahaha.
      That game was really outstanding at the time due to that feature of level creator. The limitations on the actual game levels were kinda notable, however.

    Lego- "We can't make a children's game about James Bond. The source material is far too violent for children."
    Also Lego- Makes games based on Indiana Jones and Lord Of The Rings which show a man being killed by a plane rotor, a different man pulling another man's heart out of his chest, three different men having their souls burned, several decapitations and disembowelment. All this and the games are still adapted to be child friendly.

      @@ParasocialCatgirl Uh what? I'm assuming you meant to word what you said differently because saying that melee is "considered to be the only good fighting ever made" is a pretty ridiculous statement. Fighting games have existed long before melee or smash itself and there are many fighting games both AAA and indie that are being released today they get very good critical reception.
      The fighting game community is pretty darn large and active, whilst melee is indeed heavily revered there are many other fighting games that hold similar statuses and even some that are enjoyed even more than melee. I have no idea where you got the notion that melee is considered "the only good fighting game ever made".

      (they also claimed they initially tried for a male character but as this was right on the transition period for 2d to 3d, their artists struggled to make male characters that weren't basically extreme beefcakes, and that's not something they were happy with... Lara is... Also extreme in other ways, but I guess that didn't bother them as much? XD)
