I've been on a skyliner with a V10 merc engine I think it was possibly 16L from what the driver said and I knew it was a merc just from the sound of it from the idle - fast ,very distinctive just like the sound of leylands gruff barking 680 and clattery 510 like you can tell a gardner from a Detroit or cummins
Fantastic archive film. Thanks for sharing it with us. Where did it come from? Sadly UK tilt test reg's did'n't make the Spaceliener attractive to the UK market. We only had one of these N117/2 Spaceliners in the UK (1985) and rumor has it that it was scrapped in the last couple of years, although I am still trying to find photo/video evidence of this.
