‘The older gen’ - that’s exactly me!!! I’m in my mid 40’s and have always been a massive hip hop fan - and lover of all music tbh (except mumble rap!), my 15 year old played me Goodbye and Good Riddance a couple of years ago and it hooked me right in!!! Now a massive fan!!!
I know that all my son’s friend look and me and think I’m far too old for Juice Wrld - but I just laugh!!’ He has appeal across all age groups, such a tragedy!

This was actually a true story. Juice Wrld was sleeping and had a dream about everything and woke up from his girlfriend Ally screaming and shaking him trying to wake him up because she thought he stopped breathing. He wrote down the details of his dream and turned them into this song.
From this album I would recommend already dead, its another rly sad song. This album is just another cry out for help just like legends never die. 999 LLJW

Fun fact: the large majority of his tracks are made very quickly through freestyling verses and linking it together with catchy hooks. His album death race for love with loads of hits in it was made in like 4 days or something and his main hit song lucid dreams was written in 20 mins all because he was able to articulate his feelings so well on the spot and make it sound just as good. As a fan of Juice before he passed, I can tell you this. He had no REAL friends to turn to, lets face it. Kid was alone in his own head. The people around him said "Oh, give him less..oh get him therapy" yada yada yada..but at the same time they popped pills and snorted right there in front of him and SHARING it with him. If you want to get someone out of a bad situation but you're in the same situation, and at the same time ENCOURAGING that situation even if you think it's less of a problem..it's still a problem. They would always tell each other "Love ya bro" and his girlfriend would say she loved him too..but how can you TRULY love someone if you cant put an effort into loving YOURSELF? If you cant find peace in yourself, your love will never be peace..it will be distorted. I know Juice was his own person and could make his own decisions, but at the end of the day he was still a young person..and if ANY aged person, but especially a young person is constantly around negativity and drugs at every turn, its EXTREMELY hard to get out of that..that turns into all you know.
I watched the documentary and all I could think was "He was surrounded by dumbasses" Not one person cared how they should have in that video. At the end, you get a recording from his mom; when she said she hardly EVER listened to his music my heart BROKE. If she listened to more of the music she would have been able to figure out where her sons head was at. That's what parents are suppose to do right? Care about their children's feelings? But no..he's got all this money coming in..he got me a new house..who cares what he's singing about if he's bringing money in, right? WRONG. Juice didn't have the support he needed, and now these idiots have to live with what they've done.
R.I.P Juice, but at the same time..what an absolute WASTE of talent. These guys really didn't know what they had right in front of them.

Yeah man, the documentary seemed to have shocked a lot of people, but damn if talking about it in a song didn’t tell them anything, this was his real LIFE. that’s why the music was so genuine… & if anything he had a right to speak on his experience with substances cause he really DID those drugs. Not trying to justify it, it’s super sad, but people gotta understand that he wasn’t just talking about this on record. it was literal.

I remember first connecting with his songs senior year of highschool, i had never connected with any artist so quickly and deeply… never even realized just how sad his songs were until i really read the lyrics. He got me through the worst and best times of my life and i’ll owe him forever.
One line from an unreleased blatantly exposes his dependance, “tell perky i need her, without her i get to sweatin shakin and catchin a fever.”
Unreal talent gone way, way too soon. RIP.

Juice WRLD was a prophet and he lived in his own self-fulfilling prophecy. That's why hearing some of those lines sound so eerie.. He knew and acknowledged everything that was gonna happen as he couldnt get helped but he wanted others to know they could. He's just singing about his life, he was taking too many drugs and knew this. Musicians often write songs based on their life at the time. Doesn't make them prophets bro lol. In the 90s a lot of rappers wrote about shootings, death in most of their songs and that's because it's what they witnessed in their life, their experiences. Quite a few of them died that way. Doesn't make them prophets. If you think Juice Wrld songs sound eerie your head would explode researching 2Pacs music/death and the amount of coincidences..

Get real help, he delved into drug abuse to cope with his stresses in life and depression, he wanted it but he couldn't/wouldn't get it I don't want to pin blame onto him but we all have a responsibility for our own wellbeing and first step is acknowledging it but that's not the only one the next one is taking action little by little if we will

As a medical student, going deeper into psychiatric studies, but mostly, as a survivor (at least so far) I have to say, none of the bad stuff was his fault. This is so complex in so many levels. Addiction is a mental disorder, it has nothing to do with what people are essentially or what they truly want for their lives (DSM-5). He wanted to live but stigma is stronger. Makes me deeply sad to feel everything he went through. May he rest in peace, and I hope he keeps on helping others to look for some kind of support out there. Metal illness is NOTHING beyond what’s it’s called - illness. And you are not alone.

He was on drugs before the fame he had because of stress , depression , anxiety . But the way he blew up was like no other artist he truly became a millionaire overnight , what he did with music was release his emotions and thoughts . He would make music like this to show ppl what it’s like to be an addict to drugs , to show the pain and suffering that comes with drugs , anxiety , mental health issues. He used music as an outlet to get it all out !!! Which is such an amazing thing and he was trying to help himself and lower his tolerance but he had an anxiety attack in Chicago airport December 8, 2019. And died sadly . One of the biggest inspirations in my life to really always be positive keep growing and keep learning cause with that there’s NO LIMITS.

Juice was like the brother I never had. His voice resonates with me comforts me saved me. I don’t know him personally but I’ve heard his voice so much it’s like I know him and his music is much deeper than words and a beat. I truly think I connect with the frequency cus the frequency within the audio can really connect with you. Recently for the last 5 months I listen to this song all day. Specifically before I go into the gym I tend to sit in my car for like 30 before I go in listening to music and I will just play this song on repeat some days as I sit in the dark surrounded by no one. When he says burn burn burn burn and I hear those shots it’s like he’s shooting someone then he comes again “hands up in the fire burn burn burn burn” and it’s like he repeats it and gets more disrespectful like he didn’t finish them off and there laying on the ground and as he sings that I aim my finger gun at the ground and pretend I’m shooting through all the memories I had with her.

The Tattoo on his arm towards the end that you couldn’t make out says abyss, best way I can explain it is he describes it as a place where someone is stuck like a dead end job, bad relationship, any other thing in life where your stuck and maybe you’re unaware of it. You have to find your own way out or it’ll swallow you whole. I’d say he never escaped his.
