I have a 23 Taycan 4s with 93Kwh pack. Even this peasant model puts a smile of my face, and it’s not so much about the insane acceleration figures but more so the grip and cornering abilities of this car, something I had never experienced before. It just feels planted to the road like a proper race car. That’s coming from an old school M car enthusiast.

That Tesla can't handle like the Tacycan. Only exception is the track package Plaid which should have been standard on the Plaid but that increases the cost another 20k. I'd liken the Tesla to a Dodge Charger with any electric more than a Taycan in both driving and build quality.
One has to appreciate the Plaid pace that Porsche with all their expertise and racing pedigree, two speed gearbox, overboost, 800v bla bla still cant match...
Just casually drops a 1/4 mile in the 9’s. On the road. And a 5 second 100-200 time, which is about the same as a veyron. Mad thing, I’ll buy one when they are 40k second hand.
@@jozefjozefczyk3936It's not the problem of having or not having range, it's the fact that you have to lose so much time on charging afterwards, 30 minutes to an hour or more, while you're done filling up a petrol tank in like 2 minutes. That's why electric cars won't be compatible in terms of not wasting your time on charging until they have 10 000km of range to make up the lost time of charging. If you added all the times you put petrol in your car, so 2 minutes, and multiply that by 15 times, you get half an hour, roughly the time it takes to charge an electric car (even more but let's stick to the example). If your car can go 600km on a single tank, that means that you can pass 9000km while filling it up for two minutes every time. Until an electric car can do 9000km on one charge, they will be useless!
@@LeToplache007exactly, I don't have an issue with EV, I don't particularly want one (except for a Taycan Turbo S, or GTS Sport Turismo, or the new Turbo GT lol), I just don't want governments forcing them down our necks or forcing manufacturers to make them, it's utterly ridiculous and as you clearly pointed out, makes zero sense on so many levels... One of the other reasons, take for example my area, winter is like 6 months long, it goes from being 20's and 30's (f) to -30 and -40°f.... it's brutal, my old 97 GMC RCSB K1500 plugged into a socket for it's block heater barely keeps the oil fluid enough to crank over.... I couldn't imagine what an EV would act like out there, and I know how all that touch panel LED/LCD display stuff works like outside in those conditions.....it doesn't. I'd have my truck running and warming up for 20-30 minutes after being on the block heater all night, heat on blast, get in, and my Pioneer head unit is still unreadable and unresponsive and typically won't be until after the next 30 minutes drive to work, so no tunes for me in the winter, not like I trust my sub and speakers flexing at that temperature without taking unnecessary damage 😬
@@LeToplache007 In the real world, most people stop at a petrol station more than a couple of minutes. They go in and buy a Slushie or something like that. Most gas stations don't make their money off petrol, they make money off selling the extras like food and drink that convenience stores sell. I suspect that working 350 kW charging that would have much better charging curves would fit the requirements of most drivers. Those that don't want that should still be able to buy ICE cars. I don't support EV mandates even though I'm looking at buying an EV.
I test drove Taycan Turbo, and while it accelerates fast, it feels more like a family car. I much prefer my 991.1 Carrera S over it. Let's hope new electric Cayman/boxster will be more fun to drive.

I wish European automakers would stop adding fake noises to electric (and some gasoline) cars. The electric motors make a cool sound by themselves during full acceleration, but If you don't like the quiet then play your favorite music LOUD. 😁👍

It is cheaper, compared to the Turbo GT it is equally fast in terms of acceleration and significantly slower on the circuit
