this is truly one of the most mysterious songs in the whole zelda universe i find it amazing and you just made it longer !! thank you
You know... now that I look at the temple a little longer, I really think it looks a little bit like the King of Hyrule. I'm talking about Daphnes Nohansen. The red, cloth like shapes on the pillars tha look like arms lifted above the head. And right next to the entrance which looks like a mouth are these white things with red-white stripes on it, that look a little bit like the collar the king wears in Wind Waker, doesn't it? And right under the collar things are some more red patches. The King of Hyrule wears red as well. And maybe these green lines next to and above the mouth are symbols for a mustache? A mustache that looks like the Kings? And look at the tiny parts of the building, right behind the arm-pillars. Don't they look like shoulders? They do, a little bit. And everybody has a counterpart in Majora's Mask. So, why should the king of Hyrule, the one Link never saw personally in OoT, don't have one (let's just assume he looks like we know from WindWaker, it's not impossible since Daphnes Nohansen is a ghost from a very long time ago). Or, a theory that's even more insane: Maybe, just imagine it: Thy Kingdom of Ikana has formerly been Hyrule. The Skeleton, Igos Du Ikana, is some kind of usurper who banned the king of Hyrule. Or even worse, used the Mask. He used the Mask of Majoras to ban the former king at the Stone Tower's top. Than he took over the country, run a war against somebody else, lost it spectacularly and now he sits in his castle, he isn't able to die because the lost war cursed him. And the Stone Tower shoud have remained colesd because nobody should see how Igos got to rule the country.
Don't judge me, it's just a theory. Maybe it all is a funny coincidence and leads exactly to nowhere. But maybe even the King of Hyrule has met with a terrible fate...
CherryDot like your idea, problem is Hyrule would be south, judging from death mountain being beyond the forest and swamp

I always felt the Lord of Stone Tower should have been something other than Twinmold.
I feel like Zelda would be better if there was actually a relationship between the bosses and the protagonist. Sure, sometimes seeing the boss for the first time could be shocking, but I still preferred having some hate built up against the boss. Good examples are the bird thingy from WW and Twinrova from OOT
Agreed. Halmeroc king was a very hated boss. You really wanted to kick its ass
I mean.....we were allllll ready for the Skull Kid to die.
And I think Link was connected to every boss in Ocarina as well.
Prince Lothar I feel like the disconnect between Link and the bosses in MM was very appropriate for the theme of the game. It was not his world or his problems that he was facing, everything in the game was foreign and mysterious for Link and the player.
You may have my mercy, and a kind fate, as a reward for such a delightful extension...👻

For some reason I've always feared the fierce deity mask.... And I believe it's because whenever I put it on especially for the first time I hear this... And imagine IT as the true boss of stone tower......

Seeing the announcement of the remake of Majora's Mask on 3ds and hearing this makes me feel so nostalgic.

I feel like the boss should have been something along the lines of a zombified god or king, kind of like how Twilight Princess had the StalLord as the Arbiter's Grounds Boss? Like, he would have been like a Celtic God of the Dead Or how the Woodfall Temple had an Aztec God based boss. And I feel this should have been the temple theme rather than what we got. Then again, the Nintendo 64 probably didn't have that well of a processing power as say, the 3DS has, so... Also, seeing as how it's October at this time, no one else, please, change the current Like number, gehehehehe

it doesn't sound like a perfect loop (like there's an extra beat in the measure the loop happens) and it bugs me an irrational amount
This is so good thanks so much for sharing fam! One my favorite OSTs and childhood memories as well as zelda levels, next to the twilight realm and Ikana Graveyard as well as the Sheikah Places.
I experience a strange effect listening to this extended version. I would appreciate it if someone who understands how or why the mind does what I describe below could inform me what is happening.
Question:
The human mind is a very strange thing.
I know that this piece of music is purely instrumental. There are no lyrics being sung.
There is a version of the non-extended song with added lyrics. Despite my knowing for a fact that those lyrics or any lyrics are not present, at many times I heard a bit those lyrics.
Most often this effect would be only the first half of a word at a point where, if this was the version with added lyrics, those lyrics would have begun after a period lacking lyrics.
Why is this auditory hallucination occuring?
