    It's fascinating how much of what is called "gay" by today's standards was commonplace in the past. I have hope that the next generation of men is rediscovering the lost art of male affection and realizing it is not just for gay men.

      True. What's gay or not, cool or not, or anything else for that matter changes and comes back over the years. Younger people are surprised to hear that speedos were straight men's swimwear until recently.

    I love how you emphasize that those pictures do not portray gay love. Affection between men does not belong exclusively to homoosexuality.

    Great video, great message. Such a great loss for all men because of homophobia. Damn all who perpetuate this great evil. Its so repressive.

    Isn't it interesting how Alfred Kinsey's landmark 1948 study (a very big book it would probably be hard to find now) about male sexuality have all but been forgotten; certainly not taught. But Kinsey's scientific studies and interviews of thousands of men stand as indisputable evidence that sexuality is very complex and complicated. The world is not divided into two discrete little categories. Thank you for this excellent presentation!

    • @rjcarter2904
      @rjcarter2904 2 месяца назад +2

      I agree with you. Having read the Kinsey Report--all of the male and portions of the female volumes--you are correct. Kinsey's empirical data indicated that strict heterosexuality and strict homosexuality were just extremes of a spectrum of human attraction. And we're seeing that play out in younger people today. About 25% of Gen Z individuals report on surveys that they identify as something other than heterosexual. This is consistent with Kinsey's data (though it's likely that the actual percentage is even higher). It's a shame that there has been such an effort to "cancel" Kinsey and his research. We can attribute that to government conspiracy theories, e.g., McCarthyism, organized religions, and the like. But the evidence suggests that the younger generations are having nothing to do with such nonsense. I anticipate that male affection will return (and seems to be occurring now). I would argue that this is much healthier than repression.

      @@blanchefan yes, I think it's an apt word. Interestingly, female sexuality has been described by many in the field as "fluid" for many years, but men only more recently.

      @@rjcarter2904-- I noticed this shift in the colleges I worked in prior to Covid. Gay, straight, etc. seemed to be determined more by whom you dated than whom you had sex with. So a guy who was known to consistently date and pursue romantic relationships with women would be perceived as straight and call himself straight. If he was between girlfriends and slept with another guy because he was horny, bored, or lonely he would still be regarded as straight by many.

  • @ak5659
    @ak5659 22 дня назад

    Just a random thought..... Gay men who are friends can hang all over each other and have all sorts of physical contact and affection without other gay men trying to make something romantic or sexual out of it. I wonder how many straight men are jealous of that because they don't have the freedom to do that with their straight male friends. Might that jealousy sometimes act as gasoline thrown onto the fires of homophobia?

      The notion that gay men are an 'other' who form one cohesive group has always struck me as coming more from society at large than from gay men themselves.

    This just isn't true. We've been relating to eachother in the same way for the entirety of our existence. Our relationships have not evolved in any way, except in those cultural instance of degeneration spurred on by a particular cultural hysteria or ideology, or even an government or state.

    • @ak5659
      @ak5659 22 дня назад

      I agree. I think one of the points of this vid was to show how cultural, ideological, political, etc. forces affected how male relationships are expressed while the underlying relationships themselves likely changed little.

    I know guys that can even go through prison and don't even ever jump the race Gap. Hold your arms up side by side if the color matches it's okay if it's a different color run away. This diversity agenda sucks. Two roommates in Alabama one white one black the black chop the white one up into pieces and buried him under the stairs. There's a reason you don't ever mix the races one is more violent than the other. Affections great but sometimes roommates have disagreements and you don't need one to be a more dominant vicious animal than the other. Keep that in mind before giving into the diversity agenda. Now back to the show.

    At the end of the day, straight men will always look for women to comfort them - straight guy will always look for a woman who can give him love, care, inspiration and a child; a copy of his own genetics.
    Even inside the prison where no women available, men having sex with other men secretly or brutally.

    Male friendship = gay friendship!
    Male friendship IS gay in nature but NOT sexual! We are men and we are ALL gay! Masculinity is gay, penises are gay, muscularity is gay! I'm gay and I CHOOSE to be gay! I CHOOSE men! I always have been gay since I was a little boy and ALWAYS will be!
    Also being gay is NOT inherently sexual, dirty and inappropriate for kids! Same goes for being male, penises and muscular nude bodies. Obviously, all of such things CAN always be sexual and are so in some cases, but are USUALLY non-sexual, as they should be! Male friendship is gay, whether it is naked or clothed, but the former condition is way better as it keeps us together. All of us men and boys should form nudist friendships where we don't perceive our penises and nude male/muscular bodies as something sexual and adults-only. Whether you're a baby boy or an old man, gay friendship (nudist or textile) has no age and SHOULD have no age! Personally, I think a gay intergenerational nudist friendship, such as a little boy and a big man is ideal as the man would teach my views to the boy so it doesn't make him (the boy) become a dirty/sexual gay when he becomes an adult. Obviously, the parents must have say in whom the child associates themself with and the behaviors the child would get involved in as well as watch over the little boy to make sure he is safe with the (boy) friend.
    I firmly believe that being gay SHOULD and CAN exist on a platonic level where it is friendly and non-sexual!
    If being gay, male, penises, nude muscular/adult-like bodies ARE sexual, then they MUST be age-restricted to prevent psychological damage to minors. That would be gay pornography or homosexual content which is adults only.
    It ALL depends on the context and intentions.
    I also think that photos and videos of nudist gay friendships and (non-sexual) penises alone in close-up, of and among male persons of ANY age, including children and babies, SHOULD and CAN be widely available all over the internet to find and download for our own viewing pleasure. It will make the world a FAR better place!
    Long live gay friendship!
    Yeah, that's my opinion even if my opinions are pretty weird, but that's just me. I'm a unique species of man on so many levels.
