I like the game so far! Especially the combat and character designs!
There are definitely some negatives, like dialogues especially, but I am going to assume that the developers will improve those negative things since this just came out!
Ill also say a HUGE plus for me with this game is interaction with the animals!
Yessss I feel the same! The combat especially is really fun and there are certain characters (jiyan) I want whose combat is just SO goood ahhh! But there are negatives, it looks like they are intergrating in some patches which is great and hopefully the issues will be fixed up soon! YESSS noone is talking about how you can pet the dogs and cats! SO CUTE! I am glad you are enjoying it so far! :D
Whenever yangyang says Huanglong, it sounds like its a separate voice clip cause it just doesn't meld well with the sentence whenever it's mentioned lol
i also felt like that whenever she was talking! it felt a bit off, just like you said, as if it the VA recorded saying huanglong once and they just decided to edit that in everytime :/
Lol that reminds me of a College Humor skit about a guy who over-pronounces foreign words
@@mush_r00m__66 it just sounds that way because Chinese is a tonal language, so since she’s a native speaker she pronounces it with the same tone every time. To western ears it sounds copy pasted.
That being said, it’s still a localization oversight and is immersion breaking. It would be like hearing a British voice actor pronounce something in a very British way when the character shouldn’t have a British accent at all. Well they could make a British accent work if they character always spoke that way, but when they use it with only specific words, it becomes immersion breaking.
AS THE FRIEND, I WAS EXTREMELY HAPPY, ALMOST JUMPED FOR JOY (he should be a 5 star but i am extremely biased)

The community is horrible, the made me quit the game at release. Really wanted to play it but alas the player base just too much of a cult
Oh I'm sorry to hear that :( I so far haven't had a bad experience with the community tbh, is there a specific place that's been quite bad e.g. twitter, live streams etc?
Toxic players are everywhere irrespective of the community be it genshin, wuwa or star rail. The thing that matters is whether you enjoy playing a game or not.

I'm used to reading novels so for me there was a lack of text, of course it's because I didn't get much further than the 4th act of the game but I have no problem remembering 90% of the story from act 1 to 3 and the story of the World Building

@@georgieegames Been loving it! Been lucky so far, no performance issues. Pulled Lingyang off the novice banner on the first 10 pull, which is YAY but also he was literally the only standard 5* I didn't want. But then, turns out I actually LOVE how he plays so turned out great in the end 😁 Officially ignoring the story just running around the map with Lingyang, Chixia, and MC

They really missed the mark on making a game about frequencies and sound into a rhythm game. That would've been cooler imo.
Sanhua playstyle is just playing a rhythm to do damage bro
That is a thought that did cross my mind, also something I didn't mention is that IN the game, there isn't a great deal of music but I was wondering if that's for a lore reason - so I am gonna play more and see! But yeah I want some Pgr esque beats to fight too lol
I really love the combat too! The only thing I don’t like is that the elements don’t really serve a purpose other than to separate characters

I am afraid not, I am playing on PC. Not sure if this is gonna be coming to consoles yet I am afraid, think it's just PC and mobile for now sorry 😔

Your playthrough was very entertaining to watch. And yea so far the English voicing is lacking, the best VA there so far has been Scar so far. That's why I've been playing with the JP voicing.
And yea the lore dump is huge at the start, which is fitting as a Rover getting thrown into a world with amnesia and no knowledge. But still I guess for many it has been too much.
The story picks up starting chapter 4. With chapter 6 being incredible.
Game has been incredible even with all these things. Glad to see that Kuro Games are listening to the critiques and resolving them.
Will look forward to the future on how this game will turn out.
It's still sad that they started with issues like that you can't scroll down the text. Or that they didn't let it scroll down itself slowly. Optimisation issues that many still have to this day... But let's see...
i have played for 6 hours so far, the combat is extremely fun, but the dialogue and other aspects can certainly be improved, especially the lore dumps you get at the beggining
Yess the combat is the highlight for me so far as well I agree! The VA work and lore dumping needs some work but from what I played of PGR I know they are more than capable of fixing these problems
I feel like the lore dump is because they're trying to see if the main character remembers any of the stuff they're saying

I like the lore dump in the beginning, it's a combination of show and tell. It's engaging to listen and respond especially when I know the reactions are different. Calling it lazy ignores so much. They literally have actual dialogue options with different replies. Same with the facial expressions and camera movements. The former are different on some replies. That isn't something born out of laziness.

Lol you aren’t alone, I ALSO had to put the graphics as low as possible so my game would run! But I hear they are making optimization fixes so there is hope for us 🙏🙏 fun playthrough 🙂

@@georgieegames I also think that beta testing was done mostly by large content creators who had high end PCs that could take it?

I want so much to engage with the story, because honestly the whole concept of frequency is kinda interesting, but this initial lore dump and dialogue feels like climbing a huge wall with little stamina.
Which is funny since the mechanics of this game doesn't have this problem at all lol.
At least it feels like this aspect will mature well enough in the future though!
That's fair enough! I think they have written quite a complex story and coming out of the gates not really been sure how to tell it, but it's like with PGR once the world is established I bet the story will be insane! Just gotta stick it out 😅🤣

I also had a lot of problems and lags playing Wuthering Waves for the 1st time on my phone, and it’s a pretty good phone ngl, it runs many games with high-medium graphics so I was quite surprised by that. However I did notice that they released some bug/optimization patches I think so it’s now running much better and I can play on medium to high graphics! So far I really like the game, but I think the lore is a bit confusing, especially because I’m playing with English subtitles, not my language’s, which tbh is kinda disappointing considering other games in this genre always have portuguese. But the combat tho…. It’s incredible! Loved seeing your impressions and opinions about the game, I’ve discovered your channel by one of your videos reacting to HSR’s character trailers and I’m very invested in your content! ❤
