Stuff like that doesn't happen, you don't just go to the doctor and take blood and they sign you up. In the United States you have to go through 6 months with a transgender therapist (and maybe more if you are mentally unstable) and even then go through multiple tests with a doctors, a few months later when they get the results you are put on a waiting list and when it's your turn then you start testosterone.
Modern Day Peter Pan which is why you should educate people more. If you make it seem that just anyone can go through the process trans people do than you're not teaching others that everything we do is mostly hard as fuck. I'm not trying to be that guy who's dissing your work and shit, I think it's great actually, but if you really wanna get a word out about transgender people and there struggle than you need to bit a bit more accurate is all.
Great film! I can't understand why people are so vitriolic about this subject. Also I think some people's attachments to religious beliefs (which they don't question!) is a hypocritical and very damaging excuse. I went into denial at age 11/12 because of the hate (from my own family!) and only started coming out four yaers ago. I am now 38.
sorry but for the hrt that would not happen. you'd need to have insurance to pay for that. you'd need a letter of reccomendation before you even start T. and THEN you do blood work.
I've got a lot of heat from this video , I know stuff that I did wrong from the beginning but given that I had a very short time to work with things won't come out as realistic as possible ... I did the best I could with the time I had on this assignment , I'm a film student of course I'll mess up I'm still learning
That timeline though very much not the usual from what I've seen sure if you go threw informed consent you don't have to go threw months of therapy but you should of been out for a while and also be socially living as male for at least 3 months I believe could be more it's easy to get on t but not that easy well for me it was easy but I had to go threw like 3 months of actual therapy I was given a letter of saying yes he can go on t and I met with my doctor we went over some stuff and for me a bit over a month and my 3rd meet up with him I was on t yes I had to do bloodwork and all that and the second one I was told your on t in a week so from my research and from personal experience not that accurate on the timeline and I was waiting for a year before I started t not always the case but I knew I wasn't cis sence I was 15 almost 16 I didn't start t until I was 17 some only do have a few months and all that some take years some take even longer then I took

+Christopher James Scythe No I appreciate the input , I know the process it was just hard to film given the circumstances
Modern Day Peter Pan That's okay, I didn't know this was a timed project
+Christopher James Scythe I'm a film student , it's alright I should have specified

there was a time limit for the video , I did what I could
OH MY GOSH MY AUNT SUE!! LOL
I watched your video. I covered this topic in a kindle book I recently published. If you want to know more feel free to contact me.
This seems so fake and oversimplified it’s not that easy at all
also your voice wouldn't be that deep.after a month on testosterone
I actually have a friend who has been on T for a month & their voice is as deep as I did ... may not be for everyone but it was in his case
