    I agree about the desk. Frankly, I'm surprised to see, for example, Disney deluxe hotels eliminating the desk from their rooms. I literally book a trip now to include days that I'm working ... because I can work from the hotel room ... and get away longer!

    Great video- I disagree on parking. I was in building 100 and parking was horrible. Agree on the windows and doors, however on the golf side, you have the mowers and blowers early in the morning. I was also right outside the putting green/driving range so noise is an issue there as well early in the morning!

    Thanks for all the videos. They have been extremely helpful in my planning. Also, can't decide between Grande Vista or Sheraton's Vistana Villages. Any high level thoughts or suggestions on best buildings for a nice quiet family vacation? Seems like a coin flip.

    • @DestinationTimeshare

      Thanks so much for watching and glad the videos are helpful. This is perhaps he most common question I get on the Grande Vistan and Vistana Villages videos. I really need to do a video comparing the two. It is kind of a coin toss, but for me, Grande Vista has a bit more of a resort feel to it where VIstana Villages is a little more condo like. Hard to explain. They both have great pools but Grande Vista seems to have better food and beverage options and the activities options there are much better as they have some water activities on the lake. You really can't go wrong with either one of them.

    Looking at renting a villa in Orlando. What is the difference in experience or benefits if I book thru Marriott Bonvoy app vs renting thru Red week or TUG?

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  Год назад +1

      If you book directly though Marriott you should get daily housekeeping (if they have restarted that). You will also get Bonvoy points for the nightly rate. If you book through an owner on Redweek you will only get Bonvoy points for any incidental spending at the resort and make sure you add your Bonvoy number. I am sure a rental through an owner is a lot cheaper and probably outweighs any Bonvoy benefits. Thanks for watching!

    Help! Where do I stay? We are planning a trip with my family of five. (Twin teenagers and a 9 year old.) I’m looking at Sheraton Vistana Village or Resort. Or Marriott’s Grande Vista, Harbour Lake or Cypress Harbor? We plan to visit Disney while we are there. Any suggestions on which one to pick? Your videos make them all look so good!

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  3 года назад +1

      Those are all great resorts. I wish I could tell you which one is best, but there is no perfect resort. First off, I say to disregard Harbour Lake. It isn't ideal for kids the age of yours. Much more geared toward the 6 and under type kids. Harbour Lake is right across the street from Harbour Lake and is great. It will provide a quieter vacation experience compared to Grande Vista. Grande Vista is action central (in normal times). Six pools and a lot of activities. Teenagers would love Grande Vista but may be a little bored at Cypr ess Harbour. THough they are still very comparable. Cypress Harbour has mini putt where Grande Vista doesn't. Both have lake activities (small boats), but I think those at Cypress Harbour are a little better.
      Comparing Sheraton Vistana Villages with Vistana Resort, Vistana Villages is much newer. Vistana Resort dates back to the 1980s and the building style shows it. The rooms are almost the same when comparing Vistana Resort with Vistana Villages, but Vistana Villages has a more modern feel to it. That said, Vistana Resort is great, with lots of pools and lots of onsite dining options (if they have all reopened). Where I think Vistana Villages just has one restaurant which is mainly poolside type foods. They both have onsite marketplaces. I do beleive there is a parks shuttle from Vistana Resort (fee applies) where there is no shuttle from Vistana Villages. If it matters, Vistana Resort is a very short drive to Disney World property where Vistana Villages might be about another 10 minutes extra drive time.
      Comparing the two Sheraton properties to the Marriotts, I give the edge to the Marriott resorts. The villas are nicer and the kitchens are better appointed. So if you will be cooking in the room, Marriott villas are better in my opinion.
      I hope this helps, if you have any other questions about the resorts, feel free to ask away. Thanks for watching!

    Hello. I have a question. What resort would you recommend from the Marriott Cypress Harbour Or Sheraton Vistana Resort Lake Buena Vista for a family of 5? 3 children 10 and younger.

    • @johnlanier3616
      @johnlanier3616 3 года назад

      Marriott Cypress Harbour

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  3 года назад +1

      Cypress Harbour is a great resort; however, Harbour Lake was built for kids. Pirate ship pool, water slide, huge splash pad. The pools can get crowded there though. Grande Vista is also great and we really love Cypress Harbour. CH is more laid back of the three. You really can't go wrong with which one you choose.
      I have playlists of videos for each of the other two resorts;

    Do you have contact information I can ask additional questions?
    If I understand correct do you own at a Marriott Timeshares Resort? I checked Redwwek and for 2500 to 3000 Marriott points I saw that was needed for a week stay & I also saw the maintenance fees were approximately $2,000 per year
    The Timeshare Deeded Fixed Weeks where I own in 2 different resorts 2/3 of the condos are regular ownership (not timeshare) and 1/3 of the condos are timeshare
    I am not used to having more than 1 outside pool and not having all of the amenities
    Do you cover RCI resorts and other interval international resorts?
    Thanks

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  2 года назад +1

      For us, it is Marriott's Lakeshore Reserve. With so many options and each one tailored a little differently, the best is certainly up for interpretation. Lakeshore Reserve is better for couples as it is further from the parks. Our second favorite Marriott is Cypress Harbour then probably Grande Vista. That said, all of the Marriott properties are great and you really can't go wrong with any of them. I really need to make a comparison video on this topic. Thanks for watching!

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  2 года назад

      Disney purists would disagree! I agree though, those other parks are very close to Grande Vista. One would still probably want to drive or take the I-Ride Trolly because all that is across the road from the resort is a bunch of construction. Thanks for watching!

    Ohhh nooo you don’t actually think they track the towels? It seems the system works and people actually believe they do it. They do not and the signs are just to drive compliance. lol.

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  3 года назад

      I would figure as much. Though I did look into the company that provides the machines and they do tout their ability to track towels and it did seem like I could feel the washable RFID in the band of the towel. I was also in attendance of one of the board of directors meetings where they were discussing purchasing the machines. So they can at least track the towels and may actually do so, but possible they have never charged anyone for a single missing towel. They just bill those back to the owners as a cost in our maintenance fees.

    • @jerseyshawn4283
      @jerseyshawn4283 3 года назад

      @@DestinationTimeshare It would be impossible to use RFID in this capacity. You would need radio receivers everywhere and you don't see them. Not to mention I have a few towels here in NJ (on accident) lol

      Was just at GV 2 weeks ago. They don’t “track” the towels. You need to scan your room key to open up that door of that thing to get the clean towels out, but I think that’s just there so that only guests of the property have access to the towels without having to employ a person to hand them out. You can take as many as you want once the door is open and when you bring them back, you don’t scan your key again or anything in order to deposit them into the used towel bin…you just stuff them into the bin. It’s not tracking if you took 6 and only returned 5. The system doesn’t even know who you are when you return them.
