True but Matt said when reading the equip requirements in C1 that it had to be equipped by a Paladin (hence they gave it to Kima in the first place), so unless Yasha took a level in that then she couldn't have equipped it anyway. At the end of this episode, it reminded me of times long ago. Not role playing, but just drunk and high with friends and I would take them on a journey, cuz I was a freak, and apparently a DM (not knowing) just talking them through this wild imaginative journey with the sole purpose of scaring them half to death. Creepy sound effects included vocally willing them into fear and creepiness. Well done Matt! It feels just like that. What a satisfaction of getting that very reaction from those involved. I mean, I'm a lesbian who doesn't really need to flex my sexuality to others and I have friends who agree that it's kind of a thing that happens to a degree that says we do it too much. It can get old having to say, "Hi, I'm Katie and I'm a trans lesbian!" When these aspects barely define me. But I do understand that being LGBTQ+ isn't about being attention whores, it's about a lifetime of oppression and finally having the strength and pride to express this side of ourselves after being so repressed by heteronormative garbage values. For me, the "I'm good, thank you" when Laura mentioned the beatles was the best line (and second was Travis saying "it never works for Sam either" xD). But yeah, that episode DOES HAVE EVERYTHING ahah Also, if Beau's dad gets arrested, wouldn't that fulfill the prediction/deal from the hag ? I can't remember it exactly but she wanted his fortune in return (which he didn't have at the time, hence why he thought it could mean Beau) but, as we learn later, could very well mean that she'd enjoy his downfall/suffering etc... W/e, I just thought of it as I watch this video but it doesn't really matter anyway. Kinda curious if Matt will play around that though.
Turns out that yes, it does. Because he mentioned in a reply to me on Twitter that Clara basically realizes what Thoreau had been hiding from her (SHE DIDN’T KNOW HE HAD PLANNED TO HIRE ZEENOTH TO KIDNAP THEIR DAUGHTER) and ends up leaving him, taking TJ with her. He ends up losing his wife, his heir, and his legacy. All because of his obsession with having things his way and his paranoia with the hag coming to collect. In short, because he arranged for it, it eventually became his undoing. So in a way, Beau’s words rung true: “Maybe I’m the one sent to humble you.”
thank you for watching, and for the feedback! i wouldn't mind the length but sometimes it gets hard for me to finish the video for monday release when it's reaching the 45 minute mark. this one was a close call, but that's also in part due to the video i put out yesterday. also i felt like this video may kind of drag for some people who aren't interested in beau. but fortunately i simply cannot relate to that issue so i left it all in!

I'm unsure if there's much content that can support this extremely specific request but god it cracks me up every time I hear the DM defend themselves after describing such intricate and cool scenarios, only to have the players chuckle over it
sidenote, TPK would be so appropriate if it meant Toilet Paper Kill here
To be fair Matt kinda walked into the inevitable innuendo with his description of the Celebone XD
I feel like Yasha’s dream is eluding to the Holy Avenger being a dormant Vestige of Divergence. Might be totally off base.
Won't matter only a paladin can attune it. That's why they gave it to her in C1.
Vestige idk but this might be Matt bending the rules of that weapon couse tbh zealot barbarian is the closest thing to paladin that you can be without multiclassing
Edit : like do SOMETHING to earn the weapon
30:50 Sam deciding to reroll a 1 for the 1st time was so meta. He had no choice -- the dagger compelled him!
"Many more chains to be broken..." ;) I see what you did there, Matt...
🤣🤣🤣 35:36 True Chaotic Travis moment! The surprised Picachu face "Don't tell Yasha!"... ROTFL
For me, the "I'm good, thank you" when Laura mentioned the beatles was the best line (and second was Travis saying "it never works for Sam either" xD). But yeah, that episode DOES HAVE EVERYTHING ahah
Also, if Beau's dad gets arrested, wouldn't that fulfill the prediction/deal from the hag ?
I’ve started to look forward to these videos almost as much as the actual stream, thank you for these!!!
Just imagine Caleb and Beau's dream but with binaural sound
As a massive horror fan that would be awesome
Oh my god the Werther's were a prediction!
These videos are sooo good. So much love and care going into making them. Thank you!
37:44 "I want to fun-fight some ninjas" That is a GREAT idea, i want to do that now :)
the Hank Venture method for making your date memorable
Yay! I look forward to this every week! Your vids are so well done! Thank you!
Just for the record, personally, I enjoy 30-45 min+ episodes.
thank you for watching, and for the feedback! i wouldn't mind the length but sometimes it gets hard for me to finish the video for monday release when it's reaching the 45 minute mark. this one was a close call, but that's also in part due to the video i put out yesterday. also i felt like this video may kind of drag for some people who aren't interested in beau. but fortunately i simply cannot relate to that issue so i left it all in!
@@marisharaygun 100% with you! Cuteness and humor are just as important as action and plot revelations in a game like D&D!
Same!
Been waiting for this! Love these weekly videos!
I second this comment.
I love Ashley's real quiet 'really Yus...ful'
cross-over episode with M9 and VM - M9 finally meets the Council.
Getting an animated version of that iirc
Ironic how here they were saying they enjoy Werther's candies, and now we're at C3 and they HATE Werther's candies.
7:38 the moment matt decided to light the kids on fire
When did Freddie Mercury join the Mighty Nein ?
You stupid ? That’s Mario
@@Colaschnittchen with those teeth ? I stupid ?
I really appreciate these kinds of highlight clips, gives me a chance to see so many expressions I missed the first time around.
Probably one of my favorite episodes, and it was the first one I caught live :D
My favorite line, courtesy of Taliesin:
"I don't think putting Voldemort in Skeletor is necessarily a good thing."
Taliesin, I could not agree more.
125 was amazing....once i started i had to re calibrate my day to watch it....Tal'dorei visit was soooo good!! Allura was always my fav.
Adding the Metal Gear sound was pure genius!!!
Oh my god I fucking cried at the scrying/pooping part. And then the nat 20 to put a bow on top hahahahha
These highlights are soo good, I love the way you edit them. I know it's not a competition but these are quickly becoming my go-tos every week.
"We can make dreams into anything"
Is it just me or am I getting Beholder, The Great Mother vibes? Dreams? Reality? Anti Magic Cones? Diety of Beholders. Astral Sea and the Far realms have some pretty fucked up shit. Including Literal spaceships made of flesh. I'm stoked. Now if Matt blindsides me and uses this as a stepping stone to some Eldar evil looking to consume the planet and the City was a failed attempt to escape. I might explode.
I love these vids! I look forward to them just about as much as i do the new episodes! Thanks for doing these!!
41:43 Matt fkn nailed those effects he did! He goes way longer on the full length episode.
But I could totally picture and visualize exactly what he was going for. I've seen n heard it in games n movies before. That creepy echo of the voices. Like wow! I can't believe he did that right there with just his mouth. No equipment, no sound board or anything. Amazing! And again I totally pictured and knew what he was going for and yeah just incredible. He is very talented
the titels of every "moment" has me cracking!!! THANKS!!
34:58 turns out Jester’s tendency to not heal is the best thing to happen to a cursed Veth.
SO MANY LITTLE VM REFERENCES THAT MADE ME CRY
I caught the last hour of tonight's [feb 18] stream for once, and I'm so glad I did, and I can not *wait* for your highlights & funny moments video of it.
So much so that I came straight to this video after the stream finished to say this lol
LOL thank you for thinking of me. i am certainly going through it, to say the least. it’s definitely gonna be an interesting video to make!
Great Highlight Video! Thanks for putting the time in! It was a chalked full episode!
Just... reduce x2 a Boulder, and toss it at lucien after saying "Hey Lucien..." as he looks, it's no longer a small Boulder, but a large one, and as we know, when rocks fall, everyone dies.
I loved this episode so freaking much. It really has everything!
i don't really understand anything but i love ashley and that's why i'm here
