Hey Louise! One of the oldie but goldies here, please don't worry about cutting out any bits of the video, we love it as it is and you as you are. So glad you're feeling a lot better and awesome to see you back! Lots of love xxx
Love the video! My favourite phrase is ‘hurt people hurt people’ and ‘happy people don’t act like that’ as it really helps me be compassionate to other people that are causing me hurt. Rather than send pain back I chose to believe that what they are missing right now is happiness. Honestly such a good perspective changer
LOVING the new kitchen! Thank you for sitting down with us… Oldie but Goldie here… waaay back and loving the journey. Love to the girls and Liam! My list of grateful for today: 1. Supportive family 2. My recent promotion - I have a job that is incredibly stressful, but bosses who have complete faith in me 3. PUMPKIN COFFEE (it just makes me happy) 4. Comfy clothes 5. My nephews
Hi Louise, what a lovely chat! I used to suffer terribly with anxiety and panic attacks, long story short I found Mindfulness and never looked back. A decade later I am a certified Mindfulness therapist and love sharing with others who may be struggling. When you talked about the breathing practice and sending others love...this is a really beautiful practice that goes back 1000's of years..the Loving Kindness Meditation. It reminds us that we are all connected through suffering on some level or another, and the kindest response is to find that calm place within ourself and send love/compassion to others. Thank you for your presence on RUclips...you really are a light for so many xx
Thank you for sharing those tips Louise. I’ve been struggling this summer and I’m slowly coming out of it. I have two young children, so one thing that helps me is waking up before them to enjoy a coffee in peace and some time reading my Bible. Being outdoors is also great for my mind. I like the sound of the journaling app. I think I’ll give that go ❤️
That idea of breathing in and letting out love and positivity as you exhale is actually really good advice. And something to make it easier is to think about the person who hurt you and consider that they also may be hurting. Maybe something happened to them and they have a lot of negativity bottled up and they are taking it out on you. Maybe they aren't a bad person, but even if they are, it's not your fault and exhaling love instead of taking on their anger makes you feel so much better than reacting in kind. 💜
I have been around since you were pregnant with Darcy. I was just a teenager then, but now I'm a mama myself. Love watching you even now, I feel like I can always find some way to connect. Last year was dark for us too, and just now finding my way back to my old happy self! It's been a long time coming, but slowly I am getting there.
Welcome newer subscribers to Louise and hello to my fellow oldie but goldies. 😊 So glad you're feeling more yourself, Louise. And never feel like you need to heavily edit your videos. We love the realness.
What you described about breathing in love and kindness and abundance is something I got from Yoga With Adriene. She always says "Lots of love in and lots of love out" and I do think you can feel the difference if you put the intention behind it. I think it really applies to our neuroplasticity and allowing the brain to generate more positive thoughts by showing it more kindness overall.
Louise thank you so much for your content. I'm a young mother of two struggling with my mental health and finding myself again at the age of 24 and your videos have always bought me comfort and peace. Thank you so much for your videos much love from afar! You look lovely dear ❤
Thank you so much for this video Louise, I've recently been in a mental and physical slump and I'm ready to feel myself again. I'm an oldie but goldie and your chatty videos feel like a warm cup of tea on a cold day 🥰💜
These were great and made so much sense but I felt as though you felt silly sharing some of them - never feel embarrassed or silly sharing things that have really genuinely helped you no matter what name u put on them 😊 so glad you're in a better space now Louise and thank u for sharing your tips 💜
I am so happy for you that you found these things that helped you! I started meditating every day. When I tried it in the past I just could not turn off the ongoing thoughts in my mind and stopped meditating. This time I found out that it is in fact not the goal to quiet the monkey mind but just to not hold onto these thoughts but let them just pass through...that was honestly a revelation to me and I was able to stick with meditation because of that. It really does help over time to clear your headspace little by little.
Thank you for such a personal video, Louise. I had the same worries about journaling, and trying to make every layout perfect. In the end, I now do a similar thing as you do, writing things I’m grateful for and then a brief summary of my day. I really liked your point about positive mindfulness. When you talked about sending love to someone who has caused you pain, was very powerful. Thank you xx
Positive mindfulness is so true! I do get frustrated with social media; the algorithm means that I don’t just consume the content I want to consume, sometimes the suggested content can have a negative effect! Love your energy in this video xx
An oldie but goldie here! This video was so comforting Louise, it really came at the right time and I can't wait to use all these tips. I've just downloaded the journal app! Lots of love to you and your family xxx
I'm not a pink person at all but I love the knew kitchen, it's so you! I'm definitely working on the rest thing this year, I love being busy but my disability is getting worse and forcing me to rest way more than I think I should be so I have to keep telling myself that it's what I need and I shouldn't be trying to push through because it'll only make things worse
Hi Louise, I absolutely loved this video, thank you. In my early 40's I discovered the outside and a passion for just walking aimlessly. I'm now in my early 50's and fitter mentally and physically than I've ever been (I can walk for hours now), so I totally get 'it'. When I'm stressed I also do the deep breaths, but i imagine the air going into my lungs as bright white and healing, on my outward breath I blow out muddy grey or red, depending on if i'm trying to release sadness or anger, it really works!! (loving the kitchen!) Much love xxx
Hi Louise, I’m a newbie! Hello! I’ve been watching your videos for a couple of months now and found this particular helpful uplifting as I suffer from anxiety and stress and find it difficult to just rest. I’ve also been spending more time out in the fresh air lately. I’ve been drinking my morning coffee in garden watching the fish we have in our little pond. Apparently fish are renowned for helping with anxiety. Lots of love xx
Thank you Louise! I’ve been really struggling with my anxiety lately and watching this has really helped! I fee I always turn to your videos when I’m down you just have a calming ora i love it so thank you
Hi Louise, I really needed this today - some of the things in this (specifically the journal app) are going to make genuine improvements to my mental health, I’m having a wobbly time at the minute and this felt so lovely and hopeful
These chitchatty videos brong me so much calm, I'm swedish so it makes me so happy to hear that your stay in norway was as nice and refreshing as your videos are
Hiii! Im an oldie Goldie. I remember when Darcey was tiny. Now look at her and pearlie. You did that. You made two beautiful girls and raised them up to be so kind and loving. You’re amazing Lou. Don’t forget that! Thats why I stayed this long. You inspire me. Im pregnant with my first and hope to be an amazing mumma just like you 🥰🥰
Oldie sprinkle here! I think you would really love Maria Nordin's Free to heal course! Sounds like it would be perfect for your situation that needs positive vibes 👌
I'm feeling heartbroken 💔 at the minute as my beautiful cat Belle passed away on Sunday. She was the first cat I ever had and was my best friend. I have found it helps massively to focus on all the positive events that happened despite it being a very difficult situation. I was planning on having her put down yesterday and was dreading it but I really believe that Belle took this away from us by passing naturally in the garden Sunday morning. We also had the opportunity to say our goodbyes and make her last days with us as special as possible. It's lovely to watch a new video drom you as have missed you XXX
Thank you for sharing these, Louise. I’ve been watching you for a long time and love your videos! This video hit home for me as I’ve been dealing with PPD/A with my second born and been struggling with motherhood… the tip to get outside especially resonated with me. I always feel better once im outside, and I know it does my toddler wonders, too. If we are having a rough day, I know getting outside can turn our moods around, even though it seems impossible sometimes to get out of the house. It’s so worth it. ❤
I enjoyed chilling with this video, thanks!I absolutely love lighting candles in my mentalpiece every night. Simple, but brings me so much joy and sense of peace
Loved this video! I use the journal app as well and it has really been good for me since I have used it. Just really makes me feel good at the end of the day that I did something that was good to write
I really needed this video today. The smallest things can make such a difference (like a fun movie) or a video from one of your favs speaking right to you. Thank you!
Its important to think positive, but its always extremely important to allow yourself to feel all your feelings💜 Cause ignoring the anger for ex will set in your vist and it will come back and bite you in the behind. Dont lash out on people obviously, but allow yourself to be angry💜 Toxic positivity and self gaslighting is a very real thing. And im so guilty of the ladder, but im working hard on that🥰🥰
As an oldie but goldie i LOVE seeing you just look so happy in this video! I'm definitely going to look into the journal app because I can never keep up with a paper one but a quick few minutes on an app might work for me.
Another way to journal is to write entries in a book. Very simple, and at the beginning or end of the day just sit down and write out your thoughts and things that have happened.
That was such a nice video to watch to wind down after a busy day. Being outside does make such a big difference. I especially live being in the woods. Have a good week guys ✨
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and experiences. I was in a very bad depression last autumn but am doing so much better now, fingers crossed it doesn't happen again this autumn. I'm excited to try a few of your tips. One big thing for me was cutting things out of my life that I knew weren't the best for me. Addictions are real and while you may think something helping, sometimes it's best to take a step back and reassess. Really love getting some exercise (although nothing competitive) I just do some community classes at the gym, and being outside, and having a few non overwhelming hobbies that I don't feel guilty about if I have to stop doing them for a period of time. 💕
Louise we muslims have a prayer from Quran . Prophet Moses asked Allah to open his chest. So when you mentioned the tightness in chest it reminded me of that prayer. Its Rabbi shra li sadri wayassirli amri wahlul oqdatul milisani wa yafkahu qouli. I always recite it when i feel something is difficult for me. 😊
Can I be a golden oldie if I’ve only been on board since the day after Pearl was born? So much of what you are saying resonates but you do need supportive people around you who will allow you the time and space for‘mindful’ resting and mindful practices. Thank you for sharing.
Loved this video and wanted to hop in the comments to thank you for posting it. These are such great tips! Some I do alrrady while others I want to try. Glad you're on the up and up and hope you continue to feel better 💕 Also, I love the kitchen! Can't wait for the full reveal 💗

Also!! The practice you referring to about sending love and compassion to others is a Buddhist practice called 'tonglen'. It's bringing in their hurt and transforming it and then sending it back to them. I recommend doing a bit of a Google on it! Much love xx
Love your new level of self-acceptance, allowing for mistakes and not being a perfectionist. Your healthy mindset is shining through.
I'm SO glad you don't mind all the fluffs and mistakes, it's so much more me and more 'easy' to be this way xxx

Such an inspiring, great video, thankyou. Lots of food for thought for me 👍😍. Your doing amazing 💖
This is SUCH a wonderfully edited video!!
Also!! The practice you referring to about sending love and compassion to others is a Buddhist practice called 'tonglen'. It's bringing in their hurt and transforming it and then sending it back to them. I recommend doing a bit of a Google on it! Much love xx
