Mine is a daily driver, so I just stuck with 31s, some ppl talk smack but I think they look good that way, not every jeep needs to be a monster truck. Plus, I like the power and handling set up like this better. Are you going bigger? Also, by daily driver, I mean stop and go at customers 15 times all over town, then often customers are 50-100 miles away up the ridges on busy freeways. It’s my only car.
My xj with trimmed wheel wells and 3.5 lift and 265 75s 16 nd 4.11 gears is alot of fun not sure if I'd go any bigger myself often think about 32s but that's the biggest I'd go love xjs
Good looking rig, right on with the 31s, My 2000 XJ is on 31s as well, everybody tells you need 33s or 35s, but for my style of overlanding it works for me and I still get 19 MPG oh and I have the same front bumper as you, got mine from JCR DIY kit
So, I’m guessing you didnt put new shocks with the lift? The good news? The new shocks will go on easier with some of the holes punched out. Did you get the flagnut kit?😁
Wrong, if you run 31x10.50/15 speed won't change, but the min you run anything bigger than the recommended factory 15 inch rim then yes speedo changes! Happy trails boys
I miss the ZR2 ride comfort on the freeway, but this Jeep on 31s with no lockers is more capable than my ZR2 was on 35s, so I don’t miss it at all on the trail
@@southeastadventures7897 if you watch the ledges that I drove down in this video, the ZR2 has a much longer wheelbase and would have been scrapping on the frame/rock sliders, also there were many tight turns that I made between two trees where the ZR2 would not have fit because it is longer and wider and doesn’t turn as sharp
The driver's confidence in navigating the Cherokee XJ through tough terrain is truly inspiring. Jeep enthusiasts unite
im on 6.5 long arms and 33's.....looking back if i could i would have done a smaller lift with 31's. less problems less mods lol
Nice bro! Wish i coulda joined you for this one! You got this Jeep off-road ready in no time!

It’s my only car.
I now have JK Wrangler Dana 44s with 4.10 gears and 32’s, saving for 37’s and 4.88’s next year!
XJs look perfect on 31s, I put 35s on my last one but it was too much for a daily
my 33’s look better however my 31’s performs better in town ,and on the freeway ,still fast
Awesome video! I love your Jeep!

I totally agree that it is very capable on 31s! However I wanted to do some harder trails all across the country so now I’m on Dana 44s and 35s 🤣

Jeep’s Lookin good bro
nice xj m8
Do you trimm fenders? How many inch lift?
hi, how much did u lift your Jeep? with which brand? thanks
how did you do it can you share with me , thank you
Hi mate. What lift? Cheers Phil.UK
You look simultaneously like a 22 year old and 60 year old marine vet
Wait, so my speedometer is lower or higher by five now? With 31s
Lower, On the freeway when your spedometer says 60 your actual speed is 65.7
Wrong, if you run 31x10.50/15 speed won't change, but the min you run anything bigger than the recommended factory 15 inch rim then yes speedo changes! Happy trails boys
Where did you find such a clean XJ?
I know right! You can check out my video from a month ago to see what it looked like stock when I brought it home!
Would have been insanely funny if you forgot the camera after backing out of the drive
What drive setting did you use on the trail?
Honestly 2wd most of the trail, 4low for the obstacles, the Jeep turns much better when 4wd is not engaged and 90% of the trail you don’t need it
What year is your rig, 97?
Yup!
Omg take your sway bar off
Правильная машина супер😅❤
Do you miss the zr2 ?

@@campbelloffroad3660 that makes sense; I have owned both and they both have there pros and cons.
@@campbelloffroad3660 How is it more capable? Not being a smarty pants I don't know enough about either one so I'm curious.

Campbell Offroad ahh I see. Approach/departure angles and just overall size. Makes sense now.
Oh man, 12 hr round trip in a pos over a weekend, by yourself? I bet your SGT just loves you, lol. Jk, keep the videos coming.
