I have tinnitus for five years now, in the beginning is almost drove me insane... but I've learnt to live with it and to be honest there are times I don't even notice the ringing.

Wow sounds amazing. I have severe, loud high pitched Tinitus. I was under a stressful time, of 3 hours, went to bed and woke with loud tinitus. It will be 3 yrs, in May. 24/7, just never stops. I have 11 different sounds, all high pitched with screeching or metal grinding together. It's absolutely debilitating. I also have chronic daily migraines,24/7 non stop. These migraines began 17.5 yrs ago. Constant and some days, are a tiny bit more manageable. Hard to fall asleep with Tinitus and migraines. I get about 2 to 3 hours of sleep, early in the morning. Mornings are the worst for me. The combination of the migraine/tinitus are deadly at times. I also have Fibromyalgia & a whole array of issues. However if I could get the tinitus to stop or just happen, once in awhile, my life might be more bearable. Tinitus when it's super loud and shrieking sounds, à person at times, like me can almost invision a bullet going through
, I can go into my quiet bedroom, where it's cool, close the shades, and ty
to sleep. With tinitus, there is no where, to go. There is no cure, and no pill that, can dull the symptoms. I pray that a cure can be found, and all us sufferers, can get part of our lives back. Sending ev1, lots of love, light and positive vibes that, a cure will be found for Tinitus. If not a cure, perhaps a pill that can reduce the annoying symptoms. Love and brighter days from Canada 😎💕

My whole life, I've been convinced over and over by everyone I know, that tinnitus is incurable. Seeing this video made me cry... If only this was in America though.

I have had Tinnitus for 12 years in both ears 24/7, since the day I turned 40. No injury, no loud environment, it just started one day and has never stopped. I love the explanation and hope that maybe one day I will once again enjoy the sound of silence. I live in Canada but I can't thank you enough for all the research and time you have taken to help all of us suffers. Really with so many suffers you would think a lot more research and time would be devoted to help find a cure. Can you please tell me do you have results of patients who have gained rehearsal, a form a relief?

Watchig his video has made my day! I thought, that tinnitus is a pernament damage of the hairs inside the ear canal that pick up sound waves, but it's actually just an inbalance of timing in neurones. I'm a musician, which makes my tinnitus very disruptive in my passion, and the chance of me losing my hearing all together will destroy my world. I'm going for consultation!

  • @thetinnitusclinic
    @thetinnitusclinic  11 лет назад +28

The primary cause of tinnitus is hearing loss and a normal hearing test does not actually equate to normal hearing as a clinical audiogram only tests up to 8000 hertz. However, whatever the original cause of subjective tinnitus (where the noise can only be heard by you), the brain has learned that tinnitus tone. Depending on the type of tinnitus, this may be able to be ‘unlearned’ through Acoustic CR® Neuromodulation treatment.

Haha same experience. I got conscious of it at age 14 or something, because I was told it was not regular for most people. Such a surprise! And now it feels like it's been a period of elevation, I mean - the sound has intensified. Ugh. But. There is a lot more in life than tinnitus to be concerned about. And a lot bigger issues to care for. We just have to bite the bugger and live with it.

Have had tinnitus for 3 years now, it's buzzing none stop. From when I awake till, when I fall asleep.. If stressed, will get worse- and turn into a migraine. blurry vision etc. When, have to close eyes and keep calm. Till it passes. Have learnt to not stress about it, and accept the noise as normal. This way, keeps it under control. Though would luv to go to a clinic, for treatment. Have used meds for it, which never worked. Good luck and wellness to all of us tinnitus folk:)

If this treatment legitimately works then it should be made available to doctors throughout the world. There are too many people, like me, suffering daily from tinnitus. It affects my mood, my job performance, my enjoyment of life - it is always there and always distracting, annoying, frustrating, infuriating - it greatly diminishes my quality of life. There are too many people in the world who need help to keep this as a regional treatment if it really works.

I am pretty sure I know what caused mine. in 1968 while playing with my brothers and other kids in the yard, one of my brothers through a 6"x4"x2" in the air hard like a baseball and it hit me in the side of the head at high speed, it hurt but no blood or broken bones. Since then I have this ringing and I am 60 now and the noise is loud and can't hear over it, ear doctors said my hearing is fine but that damn noise. I actually thought this is normal and EVERYONE heard noise until I started to ask and no one said they did. It hasn't driven my crazy yet, pretty close though, but I have to have headphones on to listen to something at the office.

I'm 27 and entered an extremely loud club a month ago in south Florida the acoustics were so unbalanced I remember telling my friends how loud it was and we weren't even inside. I remember most of the night the music would hit me on the left side, and now my left ear doesn't stop ringing, I wake up earlier than normal now since the ringing has become somewhat of an internal alarm. Thinking of even filing a lawsuit. But I'm happy there is research like this, unfortunately I don't have plans to live in the UK any time soon as according to the website this requires months of treatment, also there are no testimonials other than in the website. I really hope this company grows and expands to USA.

This is a work of pure genius. I had a bicycle tire explode in my face a while back. Before that event, I was easily capable of hearing a dog whistle, but now my ears basically stop working at 18.2kHz and I have low-level tinnitus. This was an immense bother, as I'm an audiophile and my hearing is my closest treasure of all next to my life.
Now if only we could manage to reverse hearing damage, I could get back to where I used to be.

I suffer from the typical tinnitus ringing in the ears, but it hasn't been much of a problem. My primary issue is when I encounter either high frequency sound or very loud sound, my ears seem to vibrate, crunch and squeak, much like a speaker which has been blown out. I also experience a woosh sound, like when water exits the ear when sound suddenly stops and becomes quiet. An example would be a clap or crash sound which is instantaneous then cuts to silence , my own voice also has tended to trigger both of these occurances.

Tinnitus sucks but it’s hard to tell during the morning so you can really only notice it at night which is the only hard part about having it. Luckily my tinnitus isn’t as chronic as some others I got it via ear infection and I still have all of high school to go through with it but it’s fine as long as I try to take my mind off it. The only thing that truly annoys me is the fact I can never really focus like when the teacher is talking I hear them but I don’t listen. There is one thing keeping me going though and it’s that the ongoing studies in Michigan right now are proving to be effective but it won’t be mainstream until after I graduate in 2021 so I’m just trying my hardest to hold out until then.

Have had ~12-15khz tinnitus for 15 years now (left ear only). Pretty sure I acquired mine when some idiot behind me at a concert two-finger whistled about 2 inches from my left ear about 25 years ago.
Be very careful at concerts or fan-based events where whistling can occur at anytime. Recommend always wearing ear plugs for preventive care.
If I could go back in time and tell myself this - I would. I hope I can prevent someone else from permanent damage. It is no fun at all. 24/7 pain.

i know how it feels to get that ringing sound all day along, irritating and stressful, it started in mid feb, i really got tensed and eventually told my mummy about this, next day me and my dad went to the doctor, i was getting goose bumps , really scared of what if i had to deal with it all life, but my doctor explained me that tinnitus is not a disease, it is a symptom of various other ear related problems, we just have to know about the main problem and treating it, would get us rid of tinnitus, at last it came out that in my case it was due to blockage of ear canal by ear wax for longer time, i got my ear canal cleaned, painful, for a week i took medicines and now it is march and that sound is going day by day, now i can barely hear it, doctor said it will be completely gone in some days........

I have it, I'm only 21 and I've had it about 4 months so far. I've been sitting here crying at the fact that this is going to be permanent. Mine is so loud it makes me feel as though I'm going to vomit. I've signed up on the website, got an email back now I'm going to get checked one more time at a different doctor.
If they say the same damned thing as the last 3 times I went, I'm officially going to be a new patient at this clinic.

My sound is “i describe as whit noise”. Like the noise of a tv channel that lost its signal. In both ears. All the time, 24/7. Loud. I guess I need to travel to the U.K..

significantly affects their quality of life. See the case studies on our

I recently developed tinnitus, it started very soft then I came down with sinus congestion with severed headaches, for 6 days I took medication. After I recovered from the sinus congestion then I realized that this sound got louder in my head, it wasn’t temporary. The medication worsened my situation. I hear this sound day and at night, but when I’m focused doing something its like it’s gone. I forget the sound. Before all of this I had a vertigo sensation, the stuff of sci-fi. That’s when the small sound started. I should have seen a doctor, maybe they could have done something. I think my condition is connected to meniere decease. It loud in stereo, and my hearing is normal from low to abstract sounds. But the sound matches some of the unofficial sound test. But I heard this sound in the past, and it left, but this time it’s taking its time

Sucks having this when you can't sleep right and messes up your whole life.i have had to lose alot of sleep and still do and made my vision a little bad.
One thing I notice that helps was when some days I wake up and I hear things too loud and it completely blurs out the ringing.
Maybe very small surgical hearing aids can help in the future.
