Another issue I have w/ hospitals is that, it’s illegal to sell tissue and organ transplants in the marketplace, but at the same time we are charged fees for services and collection procedures when donating, resulting in a profit from the hospital.... that makes absolutely no sense, when these deeds are done as acts of kindness, yet hospitals are billing patients thousands of dollars in order to do so. Another theory about 23andme (actually discussed in my uni bio course) is that insurance agencies may somehow get ahold of DNA sequencing from people who’ve been tested and charge more based off assumptive or pre-diagnosed health conditions. I'm working right now (I own my own business and work from home) and this is my favorite thing to do while I'm working and need something to listen to. I started watching transgender videos, just to understand that better, and stumbled onto non-binary videos and watched them for the same reason. So I did hear you say that twice and commented on it. It just has a genuinely considerate feel about it when/the way you say it, and even though I'm high key hetero female since I was a small g, it just made me think, "Yeah, we could use more of that." I just wanted to say that I think it's awesome that you took the time to watch some videos about transgender people so you could understand it. Sadly, most people don't care enough to empathize with people who are different from them, instead usually settling on opinion along the lines of "that's dumb and I don't care". The world would be a much better place if more people would be like you and take the time to try and UNDERSTAND others, even if they are different :)
I found a plus size girl who does hauls and she's funny, so even though I couldn't wear the same clothes I liked watching her. Then I noticed a change in my attitude about somethings. So I decided to do an experiment and try another 'topics' and see if I could change my perspective on things if I exposed myself to people actually living that experience. So I try to pick different things that are different than myself and peep through this window called RUclips on people who have to walk the walk, not just talk or opine about it. As a result, I find myself becoming a kinder and happier person. So I like to throw that bait out there, see if the fish are biting and if I get a tug, explain a little further and maybe other people will give it a try. We need to UNDERSTAND each other to realize how strikingly similar we all are. It's hard to hate people when you realize, they're just like you. Thanks for the nibble Guppy!

I just had to pause this to comment, because you're 100% correct. The podcast is super routine to me. I'm working right now (I own my own business and work from home) and this is my favorite thing to do while I'm working and need something to listen to. I don't think I even have another podcast I go for, I just hop on, pull yours up, and jump around to different ones (including repeating them lol) while I'm cutting and sewing and working my tush off.

I started watching transgender videos, just to understand that better, and stumbled onto non-binary videos and watched them for the same reason. So I did hear you say that twice and commented on it. It just has a genuinely considerate feel about it when/the way you say it, and even though I'm high key hetero female since I was a small g, it just made me think, "Yeah, we could use more of that." Way to set an excellent example, Jenna! Good girl! You can tell I'm a high key dog person too, huh?
I just wanted to say that I think it's awesome that you took the time to watch some videos about transgender people so you could understand it. Sadly, most people don't care enough to empathize with people who are different from them, instead usually settling on opinion along the lines of "that's dumb and I don't care". The world would be a much better place if more people would be like you and take the time to try and UNDERSTAND others, even if they are different :)
I found a plus size girl who does hauls and she's funny, so even though I couldn't wear the same clothes I liked watching her. Then I noticed a change in my attitude about somethings. So I decided to do an experiment and try another 'topics' and see if I could change my perspective on things if I exposed myself to people actually living that experience. So I try to pick different things that are different than myself and peep through this window called RUclips on people who have to walk the walk, not just talk or opine about it. As a result, I find myself becoming a kinder and happier person. So I like to throw that bait out there, see if the fish are biting and if I get a tug, explain a little further and maybe other people will give it a try. We need to UNDERSTAND each other to realize how strikingly similar we all are. It's hard to hate people when you realize, they're just like you. Thanks for the nibble Guppy!
