I’ve been inside Summit. It was my second favorite. Exercise room, eating place, AC, and decent rooms. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was that it was a bit dark even with lighting and the study rooms weren’t very great! (Based off incoming freshman impression only!)
Some more info on seneca! There are 2,3 and 4 person suites. The rooms are pretty small but it really isn’t that cramped. If you do not want communal bathrooms and you want to be able to cook this is definitely the best dorm! RA’s are super super strict though so be careful if you are planning to party! Awesome video loved it!!!! Can’t wait for more WVU videos!!!
also Stalnaker doesn't have a dining hall anymore! please don't think i'm like calling you out or anything, i just want to make sure the kids watching this know all the details because its very hard to decide and most info online is outdated! this vid is extremely helpful
I’m living in Seneca Hall and it’s pretty nice since you have your own room and it’s a really nice location. I used to live in Oakland the first weeks and I switched it to Seneca. In my opinion if you wanna make friends I think Seneca isn’t the best option but it’s so nice. I lived in Oakland the first weeks and it’s nice too the only downside is it’s pretty far away from pretty much everything but you’ll meet tons of good friends. If you’re really social I think towers is the best option. Hmu if you have any questions about the dorms
its a lot, just get good grades in high school to get scholarships and keep applying for as many scholarships through and no through the school as u can!!!
I loved this video! You did so good describing the dorms, I wish I had something like this last year when I was dorm hunting. Imma add a few things 1.RIP SUNNYSIDE SHEETZ 2.Stalnakers dining hall just closed this year, so something to consider but it’s right next to the lair like she said 3.if you live downtown go to hatfields in the lair it’s better than any of the other dining halls downtown. 4. Most convenient dorms for downtown are def boreman, stalnaker and dirty D. 5.I live in summit but I’m constantly go to boreman and stay there, I honestly like it more than summit.
If you suffer with depression do not go to towers. Because it has this big empty vibe of vastness. Its a very lonely dorm tbh. Lincoln is only for first time freshman honors Oakland is really nice but VERY inconvenient Sunnyside dorms are nice but very inconvenient for freshman. But the bus stop is at summit. Stalnaker is the best if you wanna live downtown. And towers is the best if you wanna live on evansdale in my opinion. But if you dont mind an extra 10 minute walk to classes than Oakland for Evansdale and Seneca for downtown.
If you're in the engineering college, live in Braxton Tower. Braxton Tower has a ton of engineers and has the Engineering Living Learning Community (5-9th floor Braxton). Very good dining hall: Cafe Evansdale. Upperclassmen tell me that we freshmen are lucky and "spoiled" to have the new Cafe Evansdale. Tons of people live there and you can make a lot of friends there. Lyons Den is basically a convenient store open 7pm-1am Sun-Thurs. People describe Towers as resembling a hotel. It's an enjoyable place.
I lived in Lincoln Hall my freshman year. It is really nice. To speak of my experience on making friends and the RAs since Anna didn't really know: the RAs are super chill. I once admitted to having a prohibited item in my room in front of two RAs, and they didn't report it. While the rules say 24-hour quiet space, it's only ever enforced at night. Making friends is really easy because it has a very open lounge right in the middle of the dorm across from the elevators/middle staircase. There are often people hanging out in the lounges in late afternoon/evening.
I was just assigned Lincoln Hall!! I'm so excited but a little nervous about how far it is from downtown. What is the best mode of transportation to get to downtown? And is there any helpful info you could give about Lincoln? Thanks!
it just means the dorm has a lot of people who like to go out and party, and its usually loud with a lot of people drinking and pregaming! but not actual parties
where do u think someone who’s majoring in either communications or journalism should live? i feel as if they r easy majors n don’t require so much attention, but like where would the classes be for them? what buildings?
I 100% agree with you with what you said at Dadisman! I lived there this year and I am a chem major and it was interesting with trying to study but a very nice experience
Hi! I’m gonna be a transfer student from Mexico. Where do you suggest me to stay? I’m gonna be a senior. Love to party. Basically I want to have a good American university experience
im either going into business or political science and i wanna stay in a nicish dorm w no communal bathrooms but i wanna party a good amount what do u think might be a good fit
Hey. I applied to WVU as an international student in early December. I have a GPA of 3.8 and a sat score of 1150(I only took it once). I didn't get an acceptance letter yet but I got the WVU student ID and portal and MIX email ten days ago. I also paid the academic and housing deposits and also booked a dorm in dadisman. How do I know if I'm actually accepted? Please let me know
In each of the Towers, the upper floors were older students, transfer students, and coed floors. Note, you have to specifically say it's "OK" for a coed floor on your residence application. Each of the Tower's floors has two communal bathrooms, a study room, a TV room, and a laundry room. The men use one of the communal bathroom and have the dorm rooms near and associated with that communal bathroom, viz, the women the other. There are two RAs between the men and women's rooms. IF you are assigned Towers, then bring flops and plan to take showers. I never saw or heard of anyone using in the bathtubs. Towers is like a bedroom community: You study; you goto class; you dine; you exercise; you shop... at other places on campus and town.
If you go to WVU you’ll live it I never went here but my annoying older sister Addie is a alumni she’s 9 years older than I am she was on the cross country team and majored in Journalism I was able to visit her a couple times not a ton though because we’re from Arizona but when I did get to visit her I remember the campus was beautiful and big she was able to make the Dean’s List at WVU and tutored she loved it she’s now working in sports media even with her job she still finds time to pick on me when she’s off which kinda sucks

@@Wudzzzce2024 You're pretty close to the PRT and the Towers bus stop. Which of those is better depends on time of day and destination.
When you say dadisman is a party dorm, do you mean their are parties IN the dorm building, or near the dorm building?
it just means the dorm has a lot of people who like to go out and party, and its usually loud with a lot of people drinking and pregaming! but not actual parties

How do co-ed dorms work? are guys on certain floors and girls on the others or is everyone spread out?
Charlotte Teach usually itll be a section of girls then a section of boys (but still on the same floor)
