Liver shots can end fights. I saw Ward v Sanchez in 1997, Ward's face was a mess from 7 rounds of Sanchez pounding him....then BAM ! Liver shot from Ward and it was all over. What a comeback!
Thanks! You should really research his top combinations, they were crude sometimes, but did get the work done! I will do more videos about other prominent Soviet-era boxers and their techniques later on.
As a huge boxing enthusiast and regular practitioner, I really appreciate it! Valeri was a beast! Can you go more in detail about Lagutin? Keep them comin'!
@@mikitadou I will wait it! I wanna make a video dedicated to Tszyu to my channel even if i m only uploading boxing tutorials till now. He is my favorite of all times.. The Thunder from the down under Kostya Tszyu! 👊👊👊
As a boxer use to boxing with the 'soviet style' as a coach is what i m teaching with some technical elements from newest boxing styles like angle changing.I adore soviet style cause of its 'perscistence with technique' and cause they use to boxing front, backwards and in every direction. My favorite is Kostya Tszyu and i believe he was a real 'scientist' of boxing.
Soviet Style is rather unique for sure, the training is very creative and they took from everything to make the body and the mind stronger to get an edge. I will make a video about Kostya Tszyu later on, since he is a kind of guy who needs his own dedicated project :)
@@mikitadou You re on the way to make your Chanel my favorite! Kostya Tszyu is my idol in boxing not only for his skills but for his discipline and profesionalism also. I m looking always the progress of Tim Tszyu and i m sure soon he Will be the next world champ!
Correct me if I am wrong: Soviet boxing "evolved" over time and often changed "philosophy" along the way. For example as time progressed one would see a move towards taller, slimmer athletes that had great "leverage" for their individual weight class as well as a "preponderance" of either "converted" lefties (southpaws) or "natural" ones!
the best soviet boxer that was a true sportsmen was the one who knocked out a loud mouth at the goodwill games in 1988 .the soviet boxer was an older man and yet he was a champion .he fought a young braggart from iowa .the old man knocked him out in the 3rd round .it was great and yet he acted like a gentleman complementing his opponent even thought the other guy acted like an ass
