After getting injured in the military and feeling like I’ve lost everything , seeing this after getting accepted to my local department makes me excited and happy the fire service seems to be exactly like the military in a lot of ways

When did they allow running in the combat challenge?? When I did this, if both feet were off the ground at the same time was considered running and you were penalized for it.
Originally it was that way and I’m not sure when it changed but running has been allowed for about 20 years now.
@@rickstephensmedia I did this back from 1995 to 1997, the only running allowed was up and down the stairs, after the tower you could walk as fast as you could but no running. I retired last year after 30 years in the fire service. The very first time I did the challenge, after the dummy drag, I really truly thought I was going to die. LOL! And I always thought I was in pretty good shape until I did this.
Until you do this job for a while you don’t really understand how easy they just made that look.
