As a correctional officer of 15 years I can definitely say that books are super valuable in prison. It has the learning components but it also has the entertainment components as well. Books allow the inmates to take their mind off being in prison

This is one of the few interviews where vlad gave the guest the respect enough to talk and not keep interrupting him by telling his own story that he may have read or interjecting about all the people he knows or things he did..maybe because he's an italian mob boss or either vlad knows his stories about knowing bmf or "solving" tupacs murder doesnt hold a candle to this mans story..which is actually a great story humbly told by this man..he seems to be a stand up human being👍🏿

This is why its best Black people have their own platforms so we can tell our own stories and avoid
dumb comments like the one above.
THIS IS A HIP HOP CHANNEL. so of course BMF tupac biggie and any murderers or murders that happened
in the hip hop industry is gonna be talked about. this aint a mafia channel you twat. talm bout cant hold a candle.
HES A PRIVILEGED Italian IN AMERIKKKA, trust me italian gangsters had it WAY easier compared to Black criminals or gangstas.
in fact the government probably would of let most them go had the cooperated More and gave them a cut..
that option would never be given to a blck gangsters.

I can definitely relate, books saved my life in prison by saving my spirit ! Especially when you are in the hole and alone for months and years at a stretch ,I’ve literally read all these books he mentioned and more , books are life savers in prison because as soon as you learn that they may have your body in prison but they can’t keep ur mind or ur spirit locked up , you will give your life some purpose by learning, thinking and growing as a person .

@Hr-dy1xv prison is supposed to be about reform and punishment, not racist tribal savagery where one side has the upper hand and ability to further brutalize populations because of racist power structures. Plenty of other countries have far more humane prison systems. When you have ppl on lockdown you could force them to better themselves and utilize time efficiently and be a benefit to make up for their crimes...not allow for them to fall into basic human instincts.

I remember when they were reporting on the new elected Governor in the Philippines, he promised to clean up the streets. He put a new law, that anybody who’s guilty of dealing drugs gets charged with a death sentence. He started sending out forces to neighborhoods ordered to kill anyone accused of being a drug dealer or were even suspicious of it, and would just take them out and kill them in the middle of the street… it was insane, body’s piled up all over the street, ppl started hiding or and even stopped going to work they were so scared. And to think, this guy caused all this bcuz of his stupid TV show? Just like Vlad causing beef in the hood…

White is a made up designation, there’s no biological reason Greeks are white but Turks aren’t, it’s just a historical accident. Race in general was invented by the British Empire to administer their empire and create hierarchies among the people they were oppressing.

Before I ever had the opportunity to see the movie, I had read THE GODFATHER, at least, about 20 times. Now, mind you, the movie/movies are CLASSICS, some of the GREATEST EVER, and, despite having seen them all numerous times, to the point where I know quite a bit of the dialogue before it even happens, I still will watch them, whenever I catch them on television.
But, what I got the most out of the book, that wasn't necessarily transmitted as well through the movie, was glimpses of Italian history, culture, Mafia history, there & here, stuff that isn't gonna be learned watching gangster flicks. Such supplementary information afforded insight into certain situations that wouldn't be readily apparent otherwise, and, just made my appreciation of the movie even that much deeper.
And, for that same reason, I will definitely be purchasing Mr. Ferrante's latest release, Borgata: Rise of Empire: A History of the American Mafia, in hopes that I can find some of the same joy I found in reading Mario Puzo's epic blockbuster, way back in the '70s.
