I have now owned my Perfect Set 15's for a little over a year, I have them connected to a Decware SE84UFO amplifier and I have never been happier with any other set up I have ever heard or owned. It just seems to keep getting better each time I put another album on the table. I know how personal sound can be for each individual yet, the advice I would give to you, give these a try at some point just so you don't sell yourself short when looking for the perfect sound for your ears.
Same I got pendragons and want the moab and perfect set. I have a 300b but plan to buy Decware to pair with it as well. I love my tekton towers more than any other speaker Ive ever heard or tried
This is great info. It really should be converted to useful copy and made available on your site. With such a bewildering array of models and very little information shared about the ideal niche for each one makes decision-making practically impossible.
It's called marketing, no matter the validity of your design you are still basically baffling people with bullshit so you got to float like a butterfly float and sting like a bee.
Thanks Eric learned a lot from this video. I am not an expert and I would’ve tended to go with the larger speaker for the larger amp and not the opposite. Makes a lot of sense once you explain it. 👍🏻
Glad I saw your channel, Eric. I want a set of tektons at some point, but I want to understand which is best for me. These videos are helping me understand.
Mr. Alexander, thank you so much for providing additional information on these speakers!!! Much appreciated!!! Just a suggestion, perhaps all the info that you are providing in this video should also be available on the Tekton website! It would certainly help those of us interested in learning more about the speakers you build! Thanks again for your time!!! ☮️🖖🏽
Of all the speakers available today, I'm really feeling Tecton in my future. Time to retire my beloved Cornwalls. Really having no trouble with this decision, and I haven't even listened to them yet! Very exciting!!
Eric, why is the 15 inch set version so much better for small wattage amps than the 12 inch version? Is the 2 db difference in sensitivity that demonstrative in low wattage situations or is it more than that? Thank you for the education.
I’m willing to bet that the 15” woofer is under-damped compared to a “regular” speaker. The idea is that if your amplifier doesn’t have much of a damping factor, SET amps are notorious for this, you need a woofer that is easier to move. The drawback is that if you put a more powerful amp on an under-damped woofer the bass gets out of hand. So the 12” is high sensitivity but with a more typical woofer dampening whereas the 15” has both high sensitivity and a lower amount of dampening on the woofer so you can use tiny amps.
Great info. I've had my eye on the SET 15 for awhile. I'm using a Decware 2 watt per channel amp into an Enzo 2.7 with great results but the Enzos are going into another room.
These are way better than Klipsch from what I understand. Nobody had made speakers like this before. This brand is the closest thing you can get to concert speakers with out spending $500,000 on actual concert speaker.
im thinkin one of these might be a good match for my 25w class a amp... or do you think on a class a amp like my musical fidelity a1 it can power something more like the double impact
I can vouch for a tweeter that gets down into the midrange - I have Linaeum LT1000 speakers, and the TLS tweeter is crossed at 440Hz - it is a revelation. The tweeter is about 94-95dB efficient, but with the 8" woofer (that is in a transmission line cabinet) being only ~90dB, the speaker is not nearly as efficient as yours.
Thank you sir. I love getting info from the source. Can you make a video for the Electron and the differences from the SE? Great work man, love your speakers.
I think a 4 ohm amp is ideal. I don't know for sure. But these speakers require serious power. They will fry amps if the amp os not equipped to power them.
Why don't you bevel the edges about 2.5 inches across fading off just below the side of the bottom mid-range tweeters. I hear people say it's hard for your speakers to disappear and why have so much baffle not good. Who makes the drivers for your speakers. Why don't you suffer from combi problems Or do you?
@Jason Reyes Hope it turns out for ya, ! All I have is an old JVC 350 WATT EQ with a 150 w ONKYO RECEIVER with a pair of 100w Polk audio floor speakers had all for at least 20 years and still using, that's all I need !
@Jason Reyes Believe or not but I shop pawn shops sometimes you can walk out of one with a smile, that's how I got some parts of my system, also on a budget here.

I’ve now seen every speaker video. We need more content!
Agreed!

Thanks for this review. Answered many of my Q’s between this and your DI’s.

Thanks for these videos Eric... keep 'em coming!
The power of Cerwin Vega and the sound of Audiophile... Perfect!

I am using a 6.5 watt SET amp with my new pair of OB Sigmas, and it sounds very nice, and plenty of volume.
I think that if I ever hear the Perfect SET 12, it will be the speaker I want.
I wonder how it does with Schiit's 20 WPC class A amp.
I'll bet that would be a great match.
Hi Eric, could the 15 be ordered as a 4ohm for higher powered tube amps like the Primaluna dialogue premium HP?
Great info. I've had my eye on the SET 15 for awhile. I'm using a Decware 2 watt per channel amp into an Enzo 2.7 with great results but the Enzos are going into another room.
How do these compare to the KLIPSCH CORNWALL IV or similar Klipsch...
These are way better than Klipsch from what I understand.
Nobody had made speakers like this before. This brand is the closest thing you can get to concert speakers with out spending $500,000 on actual concert speaker.
any recommendations for 200 + watts solid state listeners
Buy anything else. This guy is a fraud and maniac.
Eric please make new videos on your speakers. We love them.
Great video. Eric please make a video on you Enzo XLs.
what about the perfect set 2-10 and how does the 2-10 compare to the ENZO XL with the 7-tweeter array option?
Am waiting for my Double Impacts to arrive so we’ll see. Pairing them with a Prima Luna 300. The service wasn’t great though.

I listened to linaeum at Raido Shack on their line of speakers in the 1970's. Dark & no details.
@@porkchopspapi5757 1970's? Um, they weren't made until the 1990's ...
@@NeilBlanchard Better check your source.
@@porkchopspapi5757 Linaeum themselves didn't build speakers with this driver until the late 1980's.
@@NeilBlanchard It must have been named differently then. But the big plastic figure 8 tweeters were memorable
Love these videos. Keep them up.

thank for the videos! do one on the OB sigma next please!
Great information. Without this information I would have bought the wrong gears.
Thanks for video. Would be cool if you designed an omni that was easy to drive. Transmission line design.
I am in Quebec Canada would like to listen to the double impact before buying
This guy is not some one you want to deal with I'll call you later tonight.
Do yourself a favor stay away from the guy friendly advice
My favorite speakers! Is delivery to Serbia possible? Thanks!
Sure. We can ship to you.
@@TektonDesign Great! Thank you for your quick response! What would be the approximate price of postage!? Thanks again!! Cheersss ....

You guys should start selling in Europe. I really really want to have one of your speakers, but it is simply not possible here in Europe
Is he saying my 300 watts @ 8 ohms crown Xls 1500 would not be a good fit for this speaker?
I wish they would reply to you! That is my question!
Mine too
The Perfect SET 12 inch... www.tektondesign.com/the-perfect-set.html
Not at all is that what he is saying

how about a pro audio version, tripod mount?
great product idea with the popularity of low watt tube amps ..
You had me at “ too much bass”.
Before watching this video the Tekton I knew is a tool company!
I discovered that tool company today
They do work with 100+ watt amps as well right? Or will they sound inferior to when you use a tube amp
Very cool!
Oh Bravo!! Waaaannt!!
Make more vids please!😎
Room placement recommendations anyone?
Efficiency ratings?
They are published on the Tekton website - www.tektondesign.com
Is Perfect SET 12 now called just "Perfect SET" ?
Finally, the 15 can replace my Tannoy Turnberry SE.

A few seconds of music please, test .....
I connected a DAC to the laptop, I can tell ...
I got 200watts per channel what the he’ll is he talking about lol I’m new to this stuff
I don't get it at all ! Why would someone but speakers that big and nice just to 8 watts through them

Why don’t you allow your potential buyers to comment on your videos any longer? Are you hiding from something? Did your feelings get hurt?
How do these compare to Klipsch Cornwall iv ?
Klipsch won't sue you if you don't like the speaker.
