I'd recommend before working with REST API in your Flutter app, learn what they are, how they function just by themselves, then maybe try to build a Flutter app that uses REST API like I show in quite of my videos.

don't take it as hate speech , I want to just say , all those youtuber which makes videos to show the basic implementation of packages or plugin without any Design pattern or SOLID approach are more harmful for beginners learning as they make content short so that they can engage more audience and can complete their watch time , these youtubers in real don't have real knowledge of real world Production Ready apps , So always give some time before making any Video , make Script , DO include Technical keyword that are easy to understand , be with a Clear Approach

I if you just go on my website can check to see that I've launched multiple apps using Flutter to production for both iOS and Android on my personal accounts as well as various businesses. Just as an example take a look at this: apps.apple.com/us/app/id6478014301. This is just one of the apps I've uploaded. Moreover, I have taught on just Udemy by itself over 100000+ students how to code, and many of them actually landed 5 to 6 figure jobs. So I am pretty confident that the stuff I share is the real deal. You may still want to disagree and I'm happy with it :) Cheers.
