I just ordered a Jony Fraze custom board... Actually can't believe it. Wish I had a more incentive concept for him but I love sf6, I love Ryu and jp, and I know with his style it's gonna be absolutely gorgeous.

It's been an amazing year for fightsticks! After watching your video I went through the last few "fightstick of the year" videos from Mr. Sujano and it's amazing how much further the community has taken everything in such a short time. It's so inspirational seeing all this amazing functional art. Hoping 2024 is even better!

I'm kinda shocked the "fortress of solitude" controller wasn't most innovative, absolutely next level design I don't think anyone else is trying
Yeah, it definitely could have went that way, but in the end I felt it was really only built with a single person's ideal aesthetics/ergonomics in mind. The Split Stick could be used for nearly anyone, so that's sort of the reasoning behind those picks. Both were phenomenal builds, however!

Cool collection. I'm stick only so my favorites are the buddha and sf2 cab replica, but the beauty of the flower petal hitbox can't be denied.

Yeah, everything is personal preference and that's a lot of the fun of these things. You can almost tell a bit about the individual based on some of the aesthetic and design choices. Anyway, thanks for watching!

I'm new to the hobby I'm looking to build a Hitstick with the Shionkenstar-W layout so that I can try out all button configs as well as lever configs for Tekken 8. I will say that r/fightsticks really needs to update their megathread as lots of the builders aren't in business anymore or their commissions have been closed for a long time, this made it hard to figure out where to go for everything. I do have 2 questions though... JLF sticks are basically sold out everywhere as the new JLX stick seems to be taking its place... any real difference? Also do you know I could get my hands on some solid black samducksa 202 plungers only lol? I'm doing a build where I want the rings to be transparent but not the buttons.
1) I curate the megathread, but it's hard to officially remove someone from the list since some go in spurts, and their queues open back up. But yeah, maybe I'm too hesitant when it comes to removing, lol.
2) JLX is maybe marginally better than a JLF, but I feel like they are pretty much the same. Like, if you like the feel of a JLF, you'll like the JLX. Very comparable imo.
3) I don't think I know a place where you can just order the 202 plungers. However, what you could do is just order two sets: one clear, one black, and then switch them to how you'd like. Then, for that extra set, just unload them on the r/fightsticks discord to recoup most of your money (or you could try the r/fightsticksforsale subreddit if you don't mess with discord).
That Berserk stick is fucking nuts. Wish you would've put reddit links to all the sticks you showed off.

I don't have that particular stick and I've never seen one in person. I imagine the principles are the same as normal? Check out my "Fightstick Facelift" vid to get the general idea, but feel free to hit me up with any questions if there is something a bit different with this particular model. Good luck.

I need a supplier for enclosures/cases in Europe. America has AFS, I don't want to pay the 80USD shipping + import to get one sent here. there must be somewhere in EU that can source me cases.
CoolBear (or Blunderbuss Designs) was a UK metal enclosure equivalent to AFS, but they shut down like one week ago. There is Enth Creations, but they don't mess with metal AFAIK. Satsui and Wallarcade are from Spain, but they also don't use metal to my knowledge. TR Fight Stick is from Turkey I believe and they do have a metal one. Another option if you need a metal enclosure in EU is Sidnificus (the winning fightstick guy) since he's from the Netherlands and he sells a metal style. An example is that gold SF6 Jamie one near the end of the video. If that style appeals to you, he can produce them in a variety of colors. You'll need to chat with him on discord since I don't believe he has an official website. Hope that helped and good luck in the hunt.

The Victrix Pro FS is a pricier stick which has PS5 compatibility. There are a lot of cool new PCBs / firmware which can net PS5 access for a lot cheaper if you want to consider building your own. The Hori Fighting Stick Alpha is cheaper than the Victrix, but is another PS5 option. Same with Qanba Obsidian 2 and such.
@@HushMySweet1 Thank you for the response, will be checking those out. Fun question, say I bought an used PS4 fightstick and removed everything and put it into my own DIY project, would it work and would it be legal in a tournament setting like EVO?
@@HappyYummmy Yeah, you could do something like that. You might lose out on certain aux button functions depending on the stick you're cannibalizing and what you're putting inside it. Most things are legal these days, but Capcom Pro Tour has some rules where you can't have two buttons perform the same function, which shouldn't be a big deal for you unless you're trying to add and map additional buttons to a stick.
