G'day guys, so the flag you have in front of you is the Royal Australian Regiment Flag for the infantry battalions, which are derived from the Royal Infantry Corps of Australian Army, not the Royal Australian Armoured Corps flag so while we had a couple of infantry battalions that were mechanised the majority were foot sloggers, ANZAC is from WW1 the confrontation in Turkey at the Gallipoli Peninsula. Yes the APC's were kind of amphibious they had a large wooden board across the front of the apc that locked in place to create a bow, a majority of the apc's didnt have a fully enclosed turret but just a metal shield mounted for protection of the crew commander around the .50 Cal machine gun.
