When I was young, yes, these things applied, but through painful development I've become more readily able to express my opinions. Moreover, I sincerely believe that philosophical inquiry, deep meditation, and psychological analysis and development has changed me for the better in a number of fundamental ways. That said, it took a long time of isolation and frustrating failures to be the forthright INFJ I am today. I hope whomever is reading this knows that you can develop anything if you truly want to. Thank you for taking the time to read my comment. Take care and God bless.✝️

The reason I know that I am definitely most like an INFJ than any other type is I learnt about myself through experience over many years with no knowledge of the INFJ type and characteristics. I often felt lonely when young whether alone or in company. Pubs usually bored me. Lack of depth everywhere. Misunderstood all the time. Mostly lived in a dreamworld, but with desire to make things irl better etc. etc.
The INFJ type description does help ease our own worries and self doubts, and explains how we relate to others and what we want/need in life.

I've always been & felt different but years of self analysis, deep contemplation and self development I've become quite a force to be recogn with. I'm more comfortable having discovered my type...I am really comfortable with myself now.

I am an INFJ I don't stray away from the present at all. I gave everything going on. I am overwhelmed and stressed being a single mom. Very true strangers always open up their secrets on the first day I meet them and it's weird! When we get upset we shut down and we'll it's because we are alone most of the time!
Yep, it's a horrible feeling to feel weird your whole life and wishing to just feel like everyone else. I made straight A's all my life in school, Validictorian and more....honor student because I strive for perfection. We work really hard whatever is important to us we're dedicated and don't stop until we get it done. I'm not the happiest alone, I have amazing best friends I treasure and love to be with, but I do need alone time as well. I find friends easily but most I can't connect completely with. I actually love concerts and social activities with my kids. But if I am exhausted then I don't want to go.

That is a common theme for INFJs and one of the main reasons I created this channel - to have a community to be able to rely on. I really appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment and for watching 👍🏻 🙂

I am a 65 year old man. I can relate to much of these things in my teens and 20s. Then I found the love of my life. For 40 years of marriage I grew to feel “normal because she filled in the gaps for me. I think she was ESFP. She is gone now. Died last year. Now I am back in my loneliness and reliving my 20s. I am weird again. Trying to date now, it is the hardest thing I have ever done. I can text my banters and flirtations and show my sense of humor. But when I call the gal, it all goes away and she wonders why I am so quiet. It sucks.

This a very good video that will certainly help INFJs a lot.
I think reason 5 is unprecise though and is directly related to reason 6. The INFJ being very sensitive is often misunderstood.
They can take criticisms to heart because they're overly self critical in the first place. Their Ti pushes them to be so strict and faithful to their own beliefs and values that they can feel ashamed for not sticking to it (It's talked about in the video that INFJs can impose their own ideals on others but it's rarely the case even if they'd like to and know that following those will bring more efficiency. They don't put as much pressure on others as they do on themselves, unless the attitude of others is detrimental for the harmony of the group). So when someone criticizes them it's someone + themselves most of the time because they already know what they did wrong and someone comes to say it again. They most likely don't need you to tell them what they did wrong in short. But if that's a criticism they never considered before, you might be surprised at how easily they can take it.
If they start going to their own world when they're criticized, it's because how bad they feel about themselves for not being perfect because they're very attached to the idea of being a good person and a moral model. They have extremely high standards for themselves, more than many people.
So it's not necessarily that they think no one likes them because of that but more that they think they're not good enough for themselves. It's more an individual and personal process than a collective one.
When they'll feel better about the criticism you made about them, you'll notice that they'll do everything they can to correct it so it will never happen again because they want to be perfect so badly .
The fact that they take some criticisms so hard is what makes them such a good and respectable person.

    • @Abulina09
      @Abulina09 Год назад +1

This is so true! I'm very open to criticism, because I always want to do better... but when someone delivers the criticism in such a condencending or with a viscious tone of voice, it feels very defeating because I'm already constantly thinking about how I can improve and I'm seeking out criticism on my own to do the best I can at all times. I think you are so right about us being idealists and never letting the mistakes happen again because we want to be perfect so badly, and when people around us don't understand that or acknowledge our strive for excellence, it can be so defeating.
When dealing with people who don't know how to speak their needs with kindness and instead criticize in a condecending or passive aggressive manner, that can feel soul crushing. It's like a hamster on the wheel always striving to be good enough for the person, but all they give back is criticism without balancing it with appreciation and understanding. If someone can acknowledge our good while also delivering criticism with kindness, they will have the hardest working, most committed INFJ in their corner!

I think one of the worst struggle's are. Using to much energy to constantly beat our selves down. Insecurities effect us so bad I can get sick sometimes at the same time we are trying to meet the needs of others not out of validation or attention but the natural intuition that it's just the way it's supposed to be. Some of us can maintain eye contact while others like me are thinking about who, why, where and senseless situations.Their is no way all of our thinking patterns and behavior are alike in fact I don't even wanna go there right now. When one does see an advantage in being able to filter the Sense less from the importance or meaning then I feel it is a good opportunity understand, rationalize, and sort any insignificant feeling or situation. Whew....

lol I fell some superiority over most because most just dont see what I see and cant think the way I do. I have to dumb-down my interactions with most people. The only people that im attracted to and gravitate towards are intellectual people; and they're mostly introverts. Extroverts can be smart and amazing people, but their energy drains me and the way they think is almost sheep-like; talking about trivial and mundane things, superficial, going with the flow of society and usually consuming pop culture.
