In case ya'll didn't know I do intend on making a full lore video of Act 3! When all layers, secrets and the final pantheon have been released I will be covering everything else I missed into a collection of one video Oh yeah, as I was exporting the video I found out that to my horror I missed a text in 7-4. The text reads as follows: "THIS IS THE ONLY WAY IT COULD HAVE ENDED. WAR NO LONGER NEEDED ITS ULTIMATE PRACTICIONER. IT HAD BECOME A SELF-SUSTAINING SYSTEM. MAN WAS CRUSHED UNDER THE WHEELS OF A MACHINE CREATED TO CREATE THE MACHINE TO CRUSH THE MACHINE. SAMSARA OF CUT SINEW AND CRUSHED BONE. DEATH WITHOUT LIFE. NULL OUROBOROS. ALL THAT REMAINED IS WAR WITHOUT REASON. A MAGNUM OPUS. A COLD TOWER OF STEEL. A MACHINE BUILT TO END WAR IS ALWAYS A MACHINE BUILT TO CONTINUE WAR. YOU WERE BEAUTIFUL, OUTSTRETCHED LIKE ANTENNAS TO HEAVEN. YOU WERE BEYOND YOUR CREATORS. YOU REACHED OUT FOR GOD, AND YOU FELL. NONE WERE LEFT TO SPEAK YOUR EULOGY. NO FINAL WORDS, NO CONCLUDING STATEMENT. NO POINT. PERFECT CLOSURE. T H I S I S T H E O N L Y W A Y I T S H O U L D H A V E E N D E D ." Not sure what this means as of now, but I'll let the text sit with me for a while until I can analyse it. Comment your thoughts and let me know what other lore you want covered next! (I apologise for this rookie mistake).
It should be noted that Hell speaks with red & sometimes spaced out text. It’s likely Hell remarking & admiring Humanity’s death & its ultimate war machine: Earthmover. Why Hell wrote in a book, I have no clue.
@@KorbAgain we know it’s Hell because during an arg we see a human message warning about hell being sentient be cut off by the same red & spaced out text. I believe you can find it on google
@@ItzInksomething to note is that at the bottom of the text it is written that the pages of this book are blank, which would indicate that hell is using the book as a way to directly communicate with you specifically and nobody else
It's literally "haha, spare change, haha, size 2 fish, haha, cancerous rodent" and then on violence layer it's "behold the greatest atrocities of mankind"
fun fact: when the earthmover see's you, he isnt doing a war scream, he screams bc he knows that V1 is a threat to him and try to exterminate you immediately
@@Aestareth_ not directly, but yes. however, the Earthmover was obviously made before V1 and thus was not programmed with V1 in mind. It just sees something that might be fun to blow up.
Just wanted to throw it out there that the Minotaur being crossed out is a reference to House of Leaves - a story about an unforgiving and un comprehensive hallway that seems to stretch and turn at will, causing a malicious labyrinth that seems to constantly be changing to hurt the main characters!
The crossing out of the Minotaur's name in HoL is specifically also a metaphor regarding an artist's shame in respect to what they have made, if I remember correctly.
When I first fought the minotaur and saw its name crossed out I was legit giddy I love house of leaves and seeing the reference put the connection in my head of the labyrinth of violence and the house on ash tree lane. Just how much hate embodies both environments. And how the desperation of the minotaur of ultrakill parallels that of navidson. It scratches my brain in just the right way
12:44 slight correction: it was much more likely that hell itself was the one responsible for the creation of the mannequins. note how the terminal entry states “forces from far beyond” rather than “heaven”, as heaven is extremely unlikely to have been watching humanity since they wanted little to no contact with them
but the first word has the same amount of words as king, and since the last 2 primes were kings, dont you think this could be the 3rd prime's creation?
@rrealified Minos was the judge of "hell" it might be more likely if "hell itself" made the minotaur, trynna make a good impression on minos and hopefully even make a sort of alliance with him
Personally, I believe that it’s because hell wanted to see Minos’ horror. Remember, hell is a sick, twisted being. It created this horrifying punishment in the form of the mannequins, and so it would most likely revel in King Minos’ disgust and terror in the sadistic gift that it gave him, reminding him of all of his past mistakes.
Earthmovers are the only other Supreme Machines other than V1 & 2, and the Earthmovers acknowledged you, an ant to it and very rightly saw you as a threat to be eliminated. V1's specs makes sense when you think about how the Earthmovers were designed. It held hundreds or even thousands of people, and it was mostly impervious to direct attacks. People were safe there, and factories to pump out machines and generate power for the Earthmovers were also safe. So how do to destroy something like that? From the inside, the machine needed to be fast, agile and smart. It needed to carry heavy fire power and multiples of weapons to deal with resistance, now the the problem of refueling, instead of having V1 be like other machine that need a refuel station why not make use of the bloodshed? Fresh blood spilt on it will refuel it, so with an ever decreasing supply, it needed to hunt for blood. Now we have our idea. V1 was built around just before the end and right before they could approve and mass produce it. V1 was meant to kill the people aboard, dismantle protection and destroy the Earthmovers from inside. We saw first hand if V1 was let loose on the world where near world ending machine could be nothing more than a stroll for us.
i think v1s 'health on attack' feature makes it the most destructive machine, it explains how it survived for so long and even in deeper parts of health, we were never meant to be fast enough to dodge everything, but fast enough to deliver a punch to heal ourselves, to the point where angels and prime beings saw how hard it was to hurt you and just gave up.
@@sea_muffin Incorrect. The supreme machines include only V1, V2, and Benjamin. The Guttertwins are classified as greater machines alongside the others except for Drones and Streetcleaners which are both classified as lesser machines.
This makes me realize, if something like murder becomes popularized, wouldn’t the generations born with that connotation think of the current time like we think of pre civil rights movement south. With people lacking whatever trait, possibly empathy (if they thought of murder as a compassionate act), being commonly accepted or normal?
@@JuhoSpriteits an interesting thought about progress though. How far will human morals evolve before they stop progressing? What things are unacceptable today that will be normal 50, 60, 70 years from now?
interesting lore bit about the new machines is the fact that the earthmover (at least the one we fight) is probably japanese seen from the warning signs all over it meanwhile the guttertank is probably german having the text "faust panzer" (fist tank) written on its punching arm
Ah interesting! Didn't know that about the Guttertank :0 I imagine that Hell sort of copies different manufactures so long as the machines have the same purpose of engaging in war. I'm glad they didn't just use English since the different languages further emphasise that the whole world was at war.
@@WildCard203 yeah i just randomly found it while messing around its also really interesting to speculate about if the machines were even made by a single company which layer 7 pretty much debunks another detail i noticed is that a pictogram of a robot looking similar to v1 or v2 is featured on one of the earthmovers warning signs maybe implicating that they knew about the v model or even were the people behind the creation of it hakita just left so many details around to look for and theorize about
@@enxorbyte YEAH this as well! Very curious as to why the V1/V2 model was there when only one of each had existed by that time. Perhaps, those who made the Earthmovers expected that the V1 models would be in full production pretty soon.
@@WildCard203 by seeing how fast the factories were producing new tech it would make sense to account for future tech thats being developed in the arms race not doing so could open up for direct security flaws and ways to defeat the meachines with that it would be plausible v1 was built in japan or at least for it
i want to make a slight correction: its been confirmed by hakita that if a husk dies in hell they die forever, the blood enemies, which are called "puppets", thus physically cannot be sinners brought back from the dead, this is why death is a rare privilege in hell as its an escape from punishment. so puppets are more likely apparitions of blood created by hell so V1 (or anyone really) can feed the trees
But then what happens to a husk *after* they die? What happens to the soul? Unlike prime souls, they can't just form another body How does it "die forever"?
@@Pixelated_A.I_125 they stop existing they cease to be prime souls only exist because the soul has so much will power they can cling to the world after death without that willpower the soul is destroyed without a vessel to cling to
Two titans fighting each other, even though there's nothing left to protect or conquer and both are unable to kill their opponent, an endless, pointless struggle. You could say V1 freed that earthmover from this eternal suffering, from this... War without reason.
hakita once said "look at the inside of an earthmover and extrapolate that to how other machines might preserve blood." Machines are exactly like mannequins.
Here’s what i imagine Larger machines will transport humans inside them (like Guttermen), or at least a sample of human bone marrow to keep them afloat Smaller machines will have a tank inside of them to keep blood fresh for extended periods of time before they absorb it V1 is V1.
I think machines like gutterman need a living source, while small machines like V models and Swordsmachine just have a blood tank that they always have to refill.
1:19 So let me get this straight. If you keep too much money to yourself, you get sent to the Layer of Greed. But if you spend too much money, you go to a deeper Layer of Hell made for people that hurt everyone, including themselves. No matter what you do with your money, you're going to Hell. I thought Dante's Inferno couldn't get any worse...
Technically they go to both, Greed contains the ones that hoarded wealth and the ones who recklessly spent. I think the difference in punishments comes to intent. The ones who spent recklessly because they wanted stuff get sent to circle 4, the ones who spent recklessly for the sake of buying go to circle 7.
@@gneu1527 There's a gag in an episode of south park where Kenny gets sent to heaven only to be denied and then thrown directly to hell. There was a sign in front of the gates of heaven that said "population 112" or something like that, and the sign in front of hell said "population 7,212,232,567" or something like that.
9:44 I've heard that hell is entertained by our (V1) chaos, which is how we can even continue from what I know. So I think the reason we, V1, don't get lost in the maze is because hell *wants* us to continue, hell wants the entertainment of V1's destruction.
I don't really think Hell would like V1 just eradicating all of Hell's layers, but that is a valid reason to why V1 just doesn't get immediately teleported to a meatgrinder by Hell (or something something "hell you can't do this to: metal living people" by Heaven)
The consoles in levels and before them give you points based on how stylish and entertaining you are. That's how you buy new weapons. The cyber grind is a simulation to gain points and entertain consoles without risking death
@@imdasschwarzem I believe V1 isn’t responsible for any extinctions in hell. It’s the collective action of the machines that’s causing the extinctions. However, V1’s immense power, speed, and ability is what makes hell so focused on him. He’s so terrible that demons and machines literally team up just to fight him. In 7-3, when a highlight is put on V1, the demons and machines stop fighting each other because they know V1 is here. That’s how you know he’s special and why hell would be so keen on him.
@juanjoyaborja.3054 Despite the way humanity ended and how brilliantly brutal the people in this universe have managed to create V1, I gotta give these people credit. They did an AMAZING JOB at creating the ultimate weapon that it managed to make all that you’ve said happen and even managed to defeat 2 Gods and an Archangel who defeated said 2 Gods before, TWICE. Incredibly impressive.
i love the neat camera shots and how they episodically show the lore of the violence layer. stuff like the husks being turned into mannequins and minos sending the minotaur to the garden of forking paths, it's really neat stuff.
Thank you haha. Wasn't really sure what to put during those segments but I figure I had a little fun with the sandbox feature. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
I dunno if it’s mentioned, but if I recall the Minotaur (and the entirety of the garden of forking paths outside of the mannequins) is also kinda either a homage or reference to a book known as the house of leaves (for context: the Minotaur of the house of leaves not only shares the crossed out name and sentences when mentioned, but even has its text displayed in red)
the garden of forking paths isn’t taken from House of Leaves. instead, it takes inspiration (at least in name) from a short story by Jorge Luis Borges named, well, The Garden of the Forking Paths.
If I had a nickel for every time the House of Leaves gave inspiration to hell based demon boomer shooters I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
during the entire earthmover section, i was PRAYING he mentioned the v1 being made to kill earthmovers theory, and he did!!! Also, i think this may be about ultrakill.
I don’t think the blood puppets seen in the first area of 7-3 are just Husks coming back to life. Rather it’s probably just something to do with Hell itself forming bloody recreations of other creatures, hence the red text to tells you to feed to tree. It’s specifically bringing the puppets out for you. Hell itself most likely also kept the Earthmover in 7-4 pinned down for entertainment reasons.
7:53 This actually a reference to Mark Z. Danielewski's novel _House of Leaves._ At least, it is heavily impilied. 12:31 One of my favorite theories i say that the great war was simply WWI. Instead of ending, I turned into never-ending arms race.
Maybe, but at that time, technology was nowhere near advanced enough to create fully-automatic and sentient machines that function from blood, plus ultrakill takes place in the 22nd century, making it all the less likely. Unless the war simply lasted THAT long
Durring the intro to the game V1's firmware update states that the current year (or at least when V1 was created) is 2112. The terminal states that the Final War was a 200 year long arms race, doing the math we can infer that the Final War started in 1912... That would explain the trench warfare and old aesthetic of the Guttermen and if anything raises more questions about V1, I was always under the impression thet V1 was largely responsible for the extinction of humanity, but I'm not too sure given the date of it's firmware update and the implied duration of the new peace.
There was a significant time between humanity dying and V1's creation. He was most likely off for a long, LONG while, considering there was the great peace and V2
@@Gusthebusisreal more like a combination of both the Final War and Hell, since in a secret ARG, it is said that hell is sentient and cunning, and considering that Hell was intercepting messages to prevent any complications of its takeover and entertainment, combined with Hell utilizing the machines after re-constructing them with its influence and the terminals as well, it was game over for humanity, the moment they had free will, and knowledge that is their downfall and hubris.
The machines did not cause humanity’s extinction, Hakita has made this certain. A specific random event plunged every human into hell at once as per the ferryman terminal entry. No machine could possibly have been capable of that. The reason why layer 5 is an ocean to begin with is because of this abrupt extinction of humanity. I think the implication is that either god, hell, or the third prime soul caused this extinction.
14:54 if you use boss health, they are actually called puppets, so, sinners who commit some certain action that get them to the forking paths, but die in the metamorphosis, become blood puppets who are slower and weaker than the mannequins, atleast thats what i believe in
hey! anpther great video with fantastic editing i love the research you've done with the greek mythology and the divine comedy, the paper cutout presentations were also appreciated, i love that hpwever, i think you could have done better with the game presentation, while ultrakill is not a game about staying still, i wished you'd stay to admire some of the environments the game had to offer, for example: the start of 7-1, you could have stayed there and slowly panned and looked at the surroundings, or followed the path like in hakita's teaser in 7-4, you coukd have stayed down and watched as the earthmover prepares to shoot you, before getting interrupted by the opponent earthmover, it would have made it much more impactful and at the end of 7-4 you coudl have looked back and watched the head of the earthmover explode eitehrway, great video, would love to see this series finished ^^
The first level of violence is also a reference to house of leaves. With its long drops, twisting corridors and the minotuar My favourite theory as well is that every other boss has some kind of intro before their health bar arrives. But not earthmover. Implying that for v1 this was ON SIGHT
9:54 uhhh I think you forgot that Hell is completely non-euclidean? It's not like the souls can just go through the elevator that V1 came from, it's literally impossible, for them, it's an actual endless labyrinth with no escape, but Hell wants V1 to progress so it makes an entry and exit for him
No. There is a way in and out of layers. The Ferrymen are capable of doing so. Before Hell got full, the Ferrymen worked with Gabriel as a way to repent their sins and get closer to Heaven. Essentially, after a Sinner got their sentencing, they would get in a ferry and they'd travel to their layer.
@HiroshiOmega read the entries and you'll find you're basically correct with this sentence. the gates we find INGAME are "cells" essentially that keep the sinners in their torment from escape, that's why they're opened with skulls. what do the ferrymen do after winning against another ferryman? they take the skull. the entry goes on to say they use the skulls to open gates so they can travel and keep sinners from escaping
A theory i saw on another comment section is that earthmovers are actually all dead, but were sent to hell as living being , but more importantly send to the desert you described at the beginning of the video, therefore earthmovers offended God itself, which is also very coherent with the book you find on him (the one written in the pinned comment by WildCard). That would explain why the terminal says earthmovers all died , and yet we see them alive in a land with no sun.
Oh, I wonder if it was my comment which inspired you! I left it on the earthmover soundtrack video soon after the update released. Though I'm pretty sure I am far from being the only person who had this theory, or even the first one
@@Отвратительнодлинныйчай Oh it's funny, I checked "Heaven Pierce Her - War Without Reason (ULTRAKILL 7-4 Theme)" , found a little comment about it (by Aransu) , then found your detailled comment , therefore i might have wrote this comment here thanks to your comment on the song.
The earthmovers that the Japanese manufactured are all lying on earth, dead from having no solar energy available for themselves. And they couldn’t have possibly entered all the way into layer 7 being so goddamn big. They are carrying out their punishment, reincarnated. This is because they do have souls, being living beings due to having blood. The reason why they are in the rain of fire is because they destroyed nature. The long night was caused by their destruction. If you go against nature in Dante’s inferno, you go to that part of violence. That’s why the earthmovers hang out in that section of the violence layer.
My own theory about why there are machines fighting demons and eachothers everywhere in the layer 7 is that V1 arrived late to the party. We don't know how much time have passed since the dissappearance of blood on the surface. For me, all of these machines are here for the same reason as you do, and the violence layer is the place where they all settled down.
Great video! Violence was extremely confusing for me since it introduced so much lore in just one layer and this explaination helped loads Just one thing: Please try to reduce the clipping in the audio, does make it sound a lot harder to hear.
19:57 well no. We fed All 4 trees in 7-3. So we just ended all life for no good reason, and Gabriel is currently committing genocide in heaven by the second. By the time we reach him all of heaven would be gone. Gabriel has helped us despite his perfect hatred. We are not just a villian. We are the true monster behind it all. We killed a king who made others suffer for his mistakes. We did that for a challenge because he’s a prime soul, siphysus is a bit different being. Just a purely brutal king, since Minos was too easy we killed him and the dungeon before him. We just gotta wait for Yakima to let us do more blood shed in 9-3
One thing that i have been thinking about this great war and in some texts in the game: - Probably WW1 never ended or it did end but the arms race continued in a fast pace, but let's stick with the fact WW1 never ended: In this case, we can assume that one or a lot more countries started the production of automatons/machines, we could say the first one was Germany and in this case, Germany was probably winning the war, until another machine was created to counter it, and it goes on and on with more mahcines being created and becoming obsolete, and probably in this case they either discovered hell before the war or during a part where the war was supoosed to end. If we say that during 1918 Germany were Germany surrendered, they managed to created the first machine moved with blood, it says " first machine moved with blood ", we can assume that already other types of machines/automatons were created before it and probably had been dismantled, now let's time skip that, now years has passed, and earthmover is created, i can actually assume that after the first phase ( Probably WW1 because it says it was a trench warfare ) the second phase could be an allegory for ww2, because in the lore of ultrakill, WW1 never actually ended, anyway let's skip a bit more. The Earthmover design and also the houses resemble an design of something created during the years of 1900 and 1920, lets be cool and say 1910, i think its obvious that even though the technology was progressing, the humanity in this scenario never truly advanced that much because of constant war, and many say that V1 could be American, it sounds insane but for me it sounds German, why? Japan was at war with germamy in WW1, and obviously the signs on the earthmover are japanese, we can say that V1 was created by germany as an last resort to obviously kill the earthmover ( woooah, sorry for being obvious ), also that text in the second secret level talks about an soldier, probably going to die obviously, or is either one of the people who did take part on the expedition of hell, or it's a soldier being killed by an unknown machine. In short: i can 100% say that Germany was the main creator of the machines, my main argument is that Germany had a lot of engineers, scientists and others that created insane designs and prototypes in WW1 and WW2, now other countries creating them, it's something i still need to found out. - Also another interesting thing, during the prelude, a lot of those machinery that were transferring and processing blood could be from way back before the humanity was instinct, and probably hell managed to keep it running, so we can say that the moment we start it's probably not the moment the humans went extinct, i can even say that the last Human killed was the text guy on the 2-S, and after he's killed, V1 probably managed to find or either just got the information about the expeditions, and then he went there to get more blood and etc - Also i forgot about V2 and there is also probably a model called V3 or another type of experimental machine, so V1, V2 and V3 were designed to either: Kill the Earthmover, be some type of police force or an logistics machine, although we never have seen an official V3 machine, just speculation because of the green arm that V2 uses in his second Boss fight. So, what i can say with all of this? 1- Germany was the main creator of the machines and automatons 2- Expeditions through or the existence of hell was probably already know, but they didn't know how to get inside it, but after the war ended, they probably managed to do it 3- V1 was designed to kill an earthmover and probably some other types of machines, V2 was probably some kinda of police force or was designed to counter V2 or to replace V1 in case he failed in Killing an Earthmover, and V3 was probably a logistical type of machine, or was also designed with another type of combat in mind. 4- The last human was probably killed in 2-S during that text we see in the beginning, and probably everything we see is some kinda of hallucination he is having 5- WW1 many machines, automatons and other things have designs of old building from the 1900s to 1920s or to 1940s, so we can say that, like in fallout 4 were almost nothing changed, we can say that in ultrakill lore during the war, almost nothing changeg. And finally, I have an very strange theory that says this: Hell was aware about the WW1, so they saw that Germany was going to lose or that the war was going to end, war ending = No more fun for hell, so they probably gave this knowledge to Germany, so they could continue fighting. Well, looks like even in another Universe, humanity can't live without a war. Edit: Looks like i forgot some details about the Gutterman, and yep irs russian, so discard the fact that i said it's German, but honestly Germany already made their own version. Edit 2: the theory about a V3 shouldn't be considered lol.
@@albarrany-ny2ol it's more because of the Green Arm = Hook Shot arm that V2 has on his second encounter with V1. But obviously it doesn't need to be V3, it could be any other type of Machine.
@@Nikor205 truth be told we have no real idea what that thing even is. However common theories are not that it belonged a V model at all and was made from parts of other machines and things in Hell. The green metal along its surface for instance resembles a Sentry’s coating (and the sentry’s lore entry states their legs are sought after parts used by scrapheads whilst we can also see swordsmachines have sentry legs in game) and the cord is thought to be derived from a Hideous Mass tail harpoon. The tail harpoon does make very similar noises to it. Swordsmachine’s existence proves machines are capable of scrapping together parts to make new creations as well, as the sword Swordsmachine use is self made and the mind flayer too made its own body. Furthermore V2’s entry more or less says “no, a V3 doesn’t exist” as the company that made the V models went bankrupt after V2 was prototyped since they couldn’t find anyone wanting to buy it.
Okay, so those little blood guys are called “puppets”. They can mimic any enemy in the game (via sandbox tools but whatever) so my theory is that hell is using as a way to watch v1 slaughter more creatures. Remember, those doors don’t just lock by themselves- Hell itself locks them, FORCING you to fight whatever enemies are in that room. Hell saying “oooo, no, you have to soak the tree in blood to open the door” is completely on brand for it, especially considering that it is most likely hell that tells us to feed the tree (hence the red, spaced out “F E E D I T”.)
This is the scariest layer in Ultrakill. When I first got here I was terrified because of all the scripted events. It really makes you feel like you are a monster deep in hell with no way out
I don’t know if anybody cared but idols protecting the earthmove could show that humans used idols or that the earthmovers are able to “adapt” to use other technologies
I heard someone call the leitmotif heard in 7-2 (twice) and 7-4 the "Final War" motif because Gutterman, Guttertanks, and Earthmovers were part of the most destructive war in human history (in-universe).
V1 being a counter for earthmovers actually makes sense because other earthmovers are unable to destroy each other because the shield are strong enough to nullify their attacks rendering their lasee attacks useless, so the only way to destroy them is by wrecking its insides, which is what V1 just did.
The Minotaur is one of the modt saddest bosses ive seen in this game, i dont know what hakita could do to one up it, i mean, a fragile, old, creature that just wants to see the light of day despite being blind?
Something that I believe is important to always consider is the fact that Hell is a living entity, and can make changes at its whim I don’t believe the Angels took inspiration from the Gutterman for the Mannequins, rather it was Hell itself. It seems to sometimes altar itself after taking new ideas or inspiration, like the Gutterman. The Earthmovers couldn’t have possibly gone to hell themselves, and so therefore the one we kill is a creation of Hell, hence why it is so fleshy in certain areas and immobile, forced to forever fire at its kin in an eternal stalemate, with sinners in the crossfire. It also makes me think about my theory that blood fueled machines are given a sort of ‘soul’ due to the odd range of emotions they can exhibit outside of their programming, and could therefore be sent to Hell, but there hasn’t been anything to support this Also something worth noting is that the machines deployed via rockets, or ‘drop pods’ for my fellow scifi enthusiasts, do not seem to be enemies teleported by Hell to fight V1 for its entertainment. Rather, these are machines that have finally caught up with V1 on its rampage of slaughter, using these drop pods to accelerate their journey into Hell. My evidence is that in 7-3 it is machines and the denizens of Hell are fighting each other on opposing sides, which is the first this has happened at least in direct gameplay. I suppose a contradiction is the final fight of 7-4 has guttertanks working with husks, but I think a workaround explanation is that Hell can guide these pods to where it wants them to go
This is not the first time in ultrakill where robots do not fight husks, it was only with swordsmachine and at the end of 7-3, which makes me wonder why. I think they see you as a bigger threat than anything so all of them just focus on you.
But a way to explain it is that V1, V2 and swordsmachine are the only machines so far that need to refuel blood. Gutter robots have a living source so they just fight because yes, and drones are simply just tsundere.
I have a theory that the Censored name is Kind Nimrod, he was the king who tried to made the tower of babel with the help of humanity, but God seeing this as blasphemy put a curse upon on humanity(aka languages) so that they couldnt understand eachother and stop the construction. But humanity not understanding with one another created way more conflict which led to war, and also the Violence Layer is the only layer to have other language texts aka German, Greek, Japanese. And King Nimrod was also a Hunter and he most likely didnt sculpt the minotaur but rather he trapped and captured it.
You also missed a detail in the text at 19:31, the last part of the text talks about some way out that requires to melt something. In 7-3, is a entrance to a secret level or the P-3, that says "Under Construction ". it is speculated that the text is talking about that place, because a material that must be melted there (I'm sorry im not available to explain that last part about the material, I'm trying my best with my english) I don't remember where I saw bout that but makes too much sense
oh yeah also im like 90% sure that the first bit of the secret level for layer 2 is the perspective of one of the people who got turned into the mannequins.
I think the more hard but important fact to accept is, it doesn't matter whether or not we agree with the rules and laws, they may still exist. I'm not saying they are correct or morally fair I'm saying it may exist even if we disagree with it. It's a risk, but probably a small one. I think it's more likely that people try to prevent suicide by telling others that it's a Sin which leads to more pain so that unfortunately turns into a weak answer that's often shared because weak answers are easy to say instead of the very hard task of really helping someone, and suicidal people don't want to be helped so you can't really force someone to get better unless they are willing to give up what is hurting them and if it's like past trauma or fear of dangers in the world then you can understand why the person is having a hard time. It's probably about trying to discourage suicide in an unhealthy way like same as today people say suicide is unfair. I think suicide is a terrible thing but to escape things like captivity prison and war or prolonged death it makes sense. Suicide out of depression is a waste of life. But out of trauma it is understandable. But who says life is fair? The gods and afterlife may not magically provide fair treatment just because we want it. It is dangerous and naive to think the afterlife and metaphysics must operate off of kindness and good morlas and logical reasoning. I HOPE they do. But if they don't, they are still just as plausible. That's more important than asking Why. We may not get an answer or be able to accept an unpleasant answer and it won't change the fact that it's an answer. So it's better to avoid suicide if you can, and you'll probably live a better life. However people who got trapped on like cannibal islands probably wished they took the fast way out and I don't really blame them for that
I havent watched much when it comes to lore, but i think the creator of the minotaur was "hell itself" as it has the right number of letters and fits the narrative of pretty much everything having a conscience in the world of ultrakill
@@the_real_skateboardaccording to the boot-up sequence at the beginning of the game, V1's operating system was copyrighted in the 22nd century. And in Benjamin's entry, it states that the war lasted 200 years. Based on the math, that means the war had to begin in the early 1900s. Which in some ways makes sense since the Guttermen were developed to break the stalemate of trench warfare, something widely associated with WW1. I still want to believe this is an oversight though as this would also mean the following technologies existed back then: 1) Blood as a mechanical fuel source. 2) Advanced robotics. 3) Advanced artificial intelligence. 4) 3D printing explosive ordnance. 5) Planes big enough and powerful enough to carry Guttermen as their payload.

I feel like you have to be actually killing the husks and such on previous floors, because Gabriel in Heresy mentions "Limbo, Lust, Greed... all gone." I don't think it would make sense for him mourn this if they were just going to regenerate in however many days/months/years.

a small thing to add; take this with a grain of rice, but i feel like the suicide trees are from people who killed themselves during the war, to escape the misery of constantly waking up to the sounds of gunfire and explosions. just a small theory tho nothing much prolly
Headcannon: The trees at the start of 7-1 are people who mutilated themselves beyond recognition, and thus are turned into trees that don't even resemble humans in any way, they appear at the start because they are being blinded by the light forever instead of being shrouded in darkness, unable to even scream the pain away
you forgot about an easter egg reffering to that last part, the reason the words fire and hot enough to melt metal where there was that to hint smth to do. on the one with the trees, if u take enemies who shoot fire and aim them next to a blocked door it opens however it shows that its uncompleted and covered with more metal
9:54, it took me 48 minutes to complete this level on my SECOND ATTEMPT, I basically had to try every possible move, I found half the damn secrets before I found out how to progress I would definitely get lost in the actual thing
Couple of other notes: This layer all but confirms that blood is not fuel because it's actually necessarily convenient. Not if the war became machine vs machine rather quickly. It's power is that of the supernatural properties of life essence I think Hell created its own Earthmovers, with how they're fused to the ground
Fun fact: V1 was made FOR the war that was going on, whereas V2 was made after, mostly as security, Meaning that V1 was most likely not made to destroy earthmovers, but rather, one of humanities' first creations, V1, deemed too weak to make it into production, managed to cut through and obliterate the earthmovers, a machine with *thousands of lives and hours* put into it, as if it were *butter.* the irony here is *immaculate.*
So the thing about the husks killed by us being reincarnsted as something else is pretty interesting This theory could mean that as we get lower in layers , there will be more and more and more husks as they are reincarnated in deeper layers
This video made me realize how much I missed lmao! I had completely forgot that Minos in UK is Minos after Greek Mythology. So I just thought the Minotaur was this games "Twist" on that story. Also a personal theory as to how the Earth Mover in 7-4 got stuck, I think it's blood sorta "Leaked" out via it's feet, and then somehow hardened and trapped it
Maybe the reason the Minotaur looks somewhat similar too the mannequins is because the same process that happened to escaping sinners partially happened to Minotaur but then he escaped without being fully changed.
In case ya'll didn't know I do intend on making a full lore video of Act 3! When all layers, secrets and the final pantheon have been released I will be covering everything else I missed into a collection of one video
Oh yeah, as I was exporting the video I found out that to my horror I missed a text in 7-4. The text reads as follows:
"THIS IS THE ONLY WAY IT COULD HAVE ENDED.
WAR NO LONGER NEEDED ITS ULTIMATE PRACTICIONER. IT HAD BECOME A SELF-SUSTAINING SYSTEM. MAN WAS CRUSHED UNDER THE WHEELS OF A MACHINE CREATED TO CREATE THE MACHINE TO CRUSH THE MACHINE. Not sure what this means as of now, but I'll let the text sit with me for a while until I can analyse it. Comment your thoughts and let me know what other lore you want covered next!

@@natqevalhiindisguise141 yeah i just didn’t want to shove the entire synopsis of the book into a youtube comments section

Guttermans and Guttertanks are also supreme machines

Yeah, I think it was actually hell itself that killed humanity

No. There is a way in and out of layers. The Ferrymen are capable of doing so.
Before Hell got full, the Ferrymen worked with Gabriel as a way to repent their sins and get closer to Heaven.

The earthmovers are not real beings, I think they were just too dangerous.

- Probably WW1 never ended or it did end but the arms race continued in a fast pace, but let's stick with the fact WW1 never ended: In this case, we can assume that one or a lot more countries started the production of automatons/machines, we could say the first one was Germany and in this case, Germany was probably winning the war, until another machine was created to counter it, and it goes on and on with more mahcines being created and becoming obsolete, and probably in this case they either discovered hell before the war or during a part where the war was supoosed to end.
- Also another interesting thing, during the prelude, a lot of those machinery that were transferring and processing blood could be from way back before the humanity was instinct, and probably hell managed to keep it running, so we can say that the moment we start it's probably not the moment the humans went extinct, i can even say that the last Human killed was the text guy on the 2-S, and after he's killed, V1 probably managed to find or either just got the information about the expeditions, and then he went there to get more blood and etc
- Also i forgot about V2 and there is also probably a model called V3 or another type of experimental machine, so V1, V2 and V3 were designed to either: Kill the Earthmover, be some type of police force or an logistics machine, although we never have seen an official V3 machine, just speculation because of the green arm that V2 uses in his second Boss fight.
So, what i can say with all of this?
1- Germany was the main creator of the machines and automatons
2- Expeditions through or the existence of hell was probably already know, but they didn't know how to get inside it, but after the war ended, they probably managed to do it
3- V1 was designed to kill an earthmover and probably some other types of machines, V2 was probably some kinda of police force or was designed to counter V2 or to replace V1 in case he failed in Killing an Earthmover, and V3 was probably a logistical type of machine, or was also designed with another type of combat in mind.
4- The last human was probably killed in 2-S during that text we see in the beginning, and probably everything we see is some kinda of hallucination he is having
5- WW1 many machines, automatons and other things have designs of old building from the 1900s to 1920s or to 1940s, so we can say that, like in fallout 4 were almost nothing changed, we can say that in ultrakill lore during the war, almost nothing changeg.
If you found out about V3 from the wiki, it's a joke. V2 was created after the war. Still, good comment

I can’t wait to see a recap of layer 7 in the “lore of UltraKill Act 3” video!
each time i boot up ultrakill, i go into the sandbox and spawn in a minotaur and stay there for 30 minutes before i go into the cybergrind
awwwww thats so nice of you
This is the scariest layer in Ultrakill. When I first got here I was terrified because of all the scripted events. It really makes you feel like you are a monster deep in hell with no way out
I don’t know if anybody cared but idols protecting the earthmove could show that humans used idols or that the earthmovers are able to “adapt” to use other technologies
Well, idols were carved by the fairy man, so it was the second option
Or hell modified the earthmover
nononononono bro you didn’t buy the malicious railcannon what are you doing bro go back and buy it bro 1:42

Something that I believe is important to always consider is the fact that Hell is a living entity, and can make changes at its whim
I don’t believe the Angels took inspiration from the Gutterman for the Mannequins, rather it was Hell itself. It also makes me think about my theory that blood fueled machines are given a sort of ‘soul’ due to the odd range of emotions they can exhibit outside of their programming, and could therefore be sent to Hell, but there hasn’t been anything to support this
Also something worth noting is that the machines deployed via rockets, or ‘drop pods’ for my fellow scifi enthusiasts, do not seem to be enemies teleported by Hell to fight V1 for its entertainment.
Makes a lot more sense than my guess which was king Icarus.
@@ZaviahNorwood icarus? wasn't that the son of the builder of the labyrinth who flew too high and his fake wings melted away so it fell to his death?

You also missed a detail in the text at 19:31, the last part of the text talks about some way out that requires to melt something. In 7-3, is a entrance to a secret level or the P-3, that says "Under Construction ". it is speculated that the text is talking about that place, because a material that must be melted there (I'm sorry im not available to explain that last part about the material, I'm trying my best with my english) I don't remember where I saw bout that but makes too much sense
oh yeah also im like 90% sure that the first bit of the secret level for layer 2 is the perspective of one of the people who got turned into the mannequins.
I'll never understand why suicide is considered a sin. That's like the most drastic cry for help a human can utter, and God sends you to hell for it.
I think it's because you are basically rejecting the most scared gift from god, which is life.
divine comedy isnt canon, literally just dantes fanfiction
the bible never mentions whether or not suicide is canon
The Bible doesn't want you to kill, so I assume that would include yourself, too.@@M1ntyS4turn
However people who got trapped on like cannibal islands probably wished they took the fast way out and I don't really blame them for that
I just love how those statues hit actual jojo poses
I havent watched much when it comes to lore, but i think the creator of the minotaur was "hell itself" as it has the right number of letters and fits the narrative of pretty much everything having a conscience in the world of ultrakill
Also based on the earthmover’s lore entry the final war is world war 1
what
@@the_real_skateboardaccording to the boot-up sequence at the beginning of the game, V1's operating system was copyrighted in the 22nd century. And in Benjamin's entry, it states that the war lasted 200 years. Based on the math, that means the war had to begin in the early 1900s. Which in some ways makes sense since the Guttermen were developed to break the stalemate of trench warfare, something widely associated with WW1. I still want to believe this is an oversight though as this would also mean the following technologies existed back then:
1) Blood as a mechanical fuel source.
2) Advanced robotics.
3) Advanced artificial intelligence.
4) 3D printing explosive ordnance.
5) Planes big enough and powerful enough to carry Guttermen as their payload.
@@grimgrahamch.4157 war encourages developement like no other encouragement, Guttermen and aircrafts came first (still needing to maintain a source, such as a human) the guttertanks and a way to manufacture explosives efficiently came soon after, more and more of the war machines are made, earthmovers are all the rage, the swordsmachine gets enough scrap to become it's namesake, V series

mannequin introduction was actually so cold lol
a small thing to add; take this with a grain of rice, but i feel like the suicide trees are from people who killed themselves during the war, to escape the misery of constantly waking up to the sounds of gunfire and explosions. just a small theory tho nothing much prolly

Couple of other notes:
This layer all but confirms that blood is not fuel because it's actually necessarily convenient. Not if the war became machine vs machine rather quickly. It's power is that of the supernatural properties of life essence
I think Hell created its own Earthmovers, with how they're fused to the ground

I love 7-3, it seems a bit ominous too. (Also there is an earthmover watching over the level)
During the war section, i found it interesting that those robot still maintained a semblance of nationality to keep fighting

I had completely forgot that Minos in UK is Minos after Greek Mythology. So I just thought the Minotaur was this games "Twist" on that story.
Also a personal theory as to how the Earth Mover in 7-4 got stuck, I think it's blood sorta "Leaked" out via it's feet, and then somehow hardened and trapped it
Hello person named aydin who most definitely knows me in a certain horror genre and that im a certain artist in your team
Nice video. Where do i get saw :(
Maybe the reason the Minotaur looks somewhat similar too the mannequins is because the same process that happened to escaping sinners partially happened to Minotaur but then he escaped without being fully changed.
I personally believe those V1 kills stay dead, as Gabriel says that Limbo and Lust have been purged of all life before our rematch against him
With trench warfare being prominent in the beginning of the final war, is the 200 years of war originating from ww1??
